Wonderful vacation at "Il Tempio"

We, 4 people, spent 2 relaxing and very beautiful weeks in Massa! Anna and Paolo as hosts welcomed us warmly and were open to all questions; we gladly accepted their restaurant and sightseeing tips. As passionate cyclists and hikers, we were thrilled by the proximity to the Apuan Alps; in just a few minutes, we were in the very beautiful mountain landscape. For relaxation, we enjoyed the large garden with pool time and again. A few times we also visited the available free sandy beach sections in Massa di Marina to cool off in the Mediterranean.

We felt very comfortable and would like to thank Anna and Paolo once again!

Beautiful Italy

Very friendly, warm-hearted landlords. With many valuable tips. We felt very comfortable.
Great view from the house to Massa and the sea. The marble quarry Micheangelo in Carrara is very worth seeing and impressive. Pisa can be reached quickly and cheaply by train. The beach of Marina de Massa is a great sandy beach. We highly recommend the accommodation and the surroundings.

Culinary recommendations for your holiday

The Tuscan cuisine impresses with a wide variety of dishes and drinks influenced by the proximity to the sea, the abundance of wildlife in the forests, and regional agriculture. One of Tuscany's specialties is unsalted bread (Pane Sciocco). This fact dates back to a dispute between Florence and Pisa in the 12th century when salt deliveries were stopped for some time. Taste fine specialties such as Finocchiona, a cured sausage with fennel seeds, Castagnaccio Toscano, a chestnut cake, or Panforte, an almond pastry. Pecorino, a hard sheep cheese, is also well-known and popular in Germany. Let the restaurants around your holiday apartment in Massa Carrara spoil you with freshly prepared pasta and pizza. Enjoy the region's aromatic wine and treat yourself to a strong espresso at the end of the meal. If you want to cook at your holiday home in Massa Carrara, you'll find inexpensive and tasty food on the market, in the fish halls of the Marina di Massa harbor, and in the small shops of the community.
