Holiday apartments and houses in Mexilhoeira Grande

- almost fully equipped, beautiful, cosy flat
- the kitchen has all the utensils you need for (more than) one holiday
- Bedroom with enough storage space, the mattresses pleasantly hard
- beautiful terrace with nice seating area (sun loungers directly in front of it in the garden)
- Property and garden = oasis of well-being (own beach at the lake with sunbeds and umbrellas)
- Accommodation outside any village, car required, parking spaces available
- nearby racetrack did not offer any noticeable background noise
We would like to give the following advice:
- Water from the tap is not drinking water
- Coffee machine available, bring your own ingredients
- Washing machine available, bring your own detergent
- Wood stove available, provides enough heat for the living and kitchen area, but not for the bathroom
But not for the bathroom
- the radiators were on for a few hours from 7 a.m. onwards
- Wood in the basket in front of the door was enough for the first days
- Lighter, tongs, shovel, poker were not available
- narrow shower with shower curtain, pleasantly hot if you don't take too long
- mobile heater for the last 3 days provided by the landlord, so the bathroom was warm

You can feel wonderfully comfortable and relax in this place. We would have too if a little more "care" had been taken. Asking is not our thing.

While looking for accommodation in Portugal, away from the tourist centres, we came across this little oasis and had a wonderful time there

The flat is beautifully located, the grounds are well maintained and there was really nothing missing. Barbecue, sunbeds, kitchen equipment completely...

In the morning you wake up to birdsong, and in the evening you can listen to frogs singing on the beautiful terrace. The private reservoir invites you to swim or splash around, from the small sandy beach you can also observe the lake inhabitants very well (turtles, for example) or just relax.

For excursions to the beaches and places in the surrounding area, you need a car, but the distances are relatively short in all directions (15-20 minutes to Lagos, for example)

For us, one thing is clear: we will definitely come back.

I would recommend stopping here to everyone. The pool was nice, and we liked the kitchen setup. Cooking felt easy thanks to all the provided utensils. It is also great that there is a washing machine in the house.
