Great holiday apartment with prime location directly on the beach

We had wonderful days in this excellently equipped vacation apartment. There was really nothing missing – from the salad spinner to the coffee machine, everything was available that one needs for a comfortable stay.

Especially nice was breakfast on the terrace, which faces directly into the sunrise – a perfect start to the day! The beach is just a stone's throw away, so you can jump straight into the sea in the morning. In the evenings, the surroundings invite relaxed beach walks, where one can end the day in a pleasant atmosphere.

An accommodation that we can wholeheartedly recommend – ideal for anyone seeking peace, nature, and comfort in perfect combination.

Most beautiful time of the year…..

We simply love it, everything you need is there, okay without air conditioning but we don't necessarily need that. It's in a super quiet location, 5 minutes on foot from the sea. To our delight, there’s also an outdoor shower with a sea view, plenty of space. We have already been there 4 times, 2 times with 2 children and 2 times as a couple. It's already planned for next year again. ?????

As you descend from the mountains and hills of the Sarrabus, you will find yourself at the foot of Monte Macioni with a breathtaking sight: a bright white strip of beach with a turquoise-emerald-green carpet stretching to Sant'Elmo. This beach, Cala Sinzias, is a little-visited gem - a unique natural beauty between Costa Rei and Villasimius. Here, pure relaxation is allowed! Those who book a house, accommodation, or villa on the sandy beach should definitely plan a trip to Sardinia's capital, Cagliari. The beautiful old town is situated on a hill and crowned by the Bastion (Bastione di San Remy). From here, you have a sublime view of the city and the surroundings. Within 15 minutes, you can reach the center of Cagliari - with numerous shops, restaurants, or bars. Visit fortresses such as Fortezza Bastiani or Fortezza Garassini as well.

What do you need to experience in Costa Rei?

Seven Brothers and a City Trip

In the Monti Sette Fratelli mountain region, the beautiful natural park Parco Sette Fratelli was opened. These "Seven Brothers" are striking rock needles, which have given the mountain its name. Information about the flora and fauna can be found at the park entrance visitor center. Beautiful hiking trails and forest roads near the King's Coast run through the entire park, some of which can also be driven by car. A trip to the historically valuable province of Cagliari can also become an absolute highlight of your holiday with an apartment, rented villa, or holiday house at the Costa Rei in Italy, with a private coastal section. The city has a nine-kilometer long beach called Poetto - with numerous bars, stalls, and restaurants. Particularly noteworthy is the headland of Sella del Diavolo (Devil's Saddle). Santa Maria Navarrese is a district of Baunei and is located between the cliffs of the Golfo di Orosei and the beautiful long sandy beaches of Ogliastra. South of there, you can take a detour through magnificent gorges and along a river through the mountains towards Cagliari (Gola di Cannas). Tip: Hike along the river or at Cape Sandalo or Capo Ferrato in Carloforte and experience the full splendor of Sardinia. Whatever relaxes you is allowed! Muravera, about 30 kilometers from the southern Costa Rei, is a small town that pulses year-round. Together with Villaputzu and San Vito, it is known for Launeddas, the shepherd's musical instrument here. A big family festival is "Sagra degli Agrumi" - the citrus fruit festival. A great family outing is also a trip to the highest point of Cagliari: the Torre di San Pancrazio, which has majestically dominated the castle hill since 1305. Among wines, bitter red wine predominates. The most common are the black-purple Cannonau from Dorgali, Monica from Campidano, Oliena, and Ierzu. Su Nuraxi de Barumini is a cultural highlight in Sardinia. The large Nuraghe towers on a hill near the town of Barumini. This is an early historical tower of the Bonnanaro culture (2,200 to 1,600 BC). The local archaeological site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for over 20 years. A special highlight during a beach vacation with a holiday home and private coastal section at Costa Rei. Many attractions are just a few minutes' walk away. The highest density of cultural sights is offered in the city of Cagliari. The museum complex Cittadella dei Musei houses several museums. The Archaeological Museum (Museo archeologico nazionale di Cagliari) is particularly interesting. The Museo del tesoro di Sant'Eulalia conceals underground Roman archaeological sites. Most impressive! The Botanical Garden of the University of Cagliari is also worth a visit. How do I come to Costa Rei?

10 Kilometers of Paradise

The Costa Rei, also known as the King's Coast, is a coastal stretch of Sardinia and belongs to Italy. This section belongs to the municipality of Muravera and stretches for about ten kilometers along the east coast of the island. Approximately 50 kilometers away is Cagliari, the island's capital. From there, the state road SS 125 leads to your holiday accommodation on the coast. Cagliari, with its airport and ferry port, is certainly the best address for arrival from Germany or the mainland. A rental car is recommended for onward travel. At the airport in Cagliari, there are several rental car companies. From Civitavecchia in Lazio, there are also ferries to Cagliari several times a week. These are night crossings, lasting about 14 hours. On Sardinia, you can also travel by buses from the local transport company ARST. From Cagliari to Costa Rei, the journey takes about two hours. So plan these times when renting an apartment or a holiday home, for example in Sant´Elmo, Castiadas, or Tortolí, privately on the beach.
