The holiday home is located directly on the access road, but is still largely protected from view. The fenced garden with playground and bathing tub is simply great! Recommendations: The small seaside resort offers everything needed and desired within walking distance. The beach can be accessed by car. Cycling and jogging there is simply great.

At first glance, a great house, but with significant signs of wear. The dishwasher is not working properly, the faucet at the tub is defective, the kitchen is overcrowded with heavy dishes, causing the drawers to partially come apart, or the rails to come loose, a bedside lamp has a defective cable, not good with small children, the ordered children's chair is defective, it continuously loses a leg when moved, the ordered children's bed is missing a mattress and is unfortunately unusable for us, the large door to the back terrace could only be closed by two people, one outside, one inside, it seems to be poorly adjusted. Upon our arrival, the plastic and paper bins outside were already half full and were not emptied during our stay, resulting in the plastic bin no longer being able to close. Unfortunately, it was also not possible for us to store all the items in the kitchen according to the photos, as there are many more dishes, pots, pans, and glasses than described. Perhaps the documents should be adjusted to the current circumstances Recommendations: Farup Sommerland Naturally Blokhus Beach Aquarium Hirtshals Blokhus Light Sculptures Park Fun Art Park Lönstrup

What do you need to experience in Blokhus?

The Noah's Ark of Sand in Blokhus

Blokhus has a lot to offer during a holiday with luxurious accommodation or a holiday home or apartment directly by the water or on the West Coast. Relax on the enchanting, wide beach at the breathtaking Jammer Bay, stroll past the white bathing houses, and enjoy the vibrant life in the popular holiday resort. A highlight is the sculpture park, which promises a grand journey for all senses on 20,000 m². In a beautiful garden setting, you embark on an inspiring journey through art - with masterpieces made of wood, metal, stone, bronze, iron, granite, and concrete. Particularly impressive: The ten huge sand sculptures on the theme of Noah's Ark. Every year, you can watch the sculptors at work here. Additionally, the Blokhus Sand Sculpture Festival attracts numerous visitors to the beautiful facility each year. Beyond the town and beach, an idyllic natural landscape stretches out, bordered by heath, dune, and forest areas. Here, cycling or hiking tours are recommended. In Svinkløv, Denmark's best mountain bike route also begins. For an excursion, we recommend the tranquil holiday resort of Løkken, where you can visit a fascinating monastery from the 12th century or the Rubjerg Knude lighthouse. Lønstrup with its beautiful beach and interesting galleries is also worth a trip. At the North Sea Oceanarium in Hirtshals, you will find a saltwater aquarium with a capacity of 4.5 million liters. Here, you will encounter seals, sunfish, and other North Sea inhabitants. Simply book a comfortably furnished accommodation or a holiday home or apartment with a garden and sauna and spend relaxing holidays between forests, heathlands, dunes, water, and fishing villages. Your holiday full of pleasure at Jammer Bay with great bathing beaches in North Jutland can start!

What can you experience in Blokhus with children?

Sandy Beaches and a World-Class Amusement Park

Perfect for families renting a unique holiday home or apartment: In Blokhus, you will find the most beautiful, long white sandy beaches that will captivate you during your holiday. The bathing beaches are among the most beautiful in Northern Europe and have been awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union. A top tip for families is also Fårup Sommerland, an amusement park located just six kilometers from the center of Blokhus. The huge amusement park offers seven roller coasters and Denmark's largest subtropical water park. In 2010, Fårup Sommerland was named the third-best amusement park for children in the world by the trade magazine Amusement Today. Numerous destinations and the most beautiful attractions of the West Coast await you and your loved ones! Be sure to also take a trip to Løkken in Denmark, to Lønstrup or Saltum. In the dune plantations in Blokhus, Svinkløv, and Kollerup, you will find good mountain bike trails - perfect for active vacationers!

Where can I eat out in Blokhus?

Fish, Fish, Fish, and Smørrebrød

When staying in a privately owned holiday home or apartment, you can explore the culinary world of Denmark on your own. Unsurprisingly, there are numerous delicious fish specialties along the Nordic coast. Many dishes feature herring. Along the coast, you will repeatedly come across snack bars or smokehouses with smoked fish or fried fish fillets. In Blokhus and the surrounding area, you will also find upscale restaurants where you can order delicious stegt flæsk og persillesov, pork slices with cream sauce. Nationally known is the smørrebrød, which is more than its translation (butter bread) suggests. Typically Danish are also the Liver Paté Sandwich, Røget ål og røræg (smoked eel with scrambled eggs), Hakkebøf (meatball with fried egg, cucumbers, and onions), or Pariserbøf (boiled beef with horseradish, capers, egg yolk, and onions). Local beer varieties are highly popular. As a wine country, Denmark is not well-known. A particularly popular spot in Blokhus is the Restaurant Futten, housed in a half-timbered building from the 18th century. The best fish specialties are said to be at Strandingskroen or Klausen Fisk & Skaldyr in Hune.

How do I come to Blokhus?

The Former Fishing Village of Blokhus at Jammer Bay

Jammer Bay on the unique Danish North Sea coast is a beautiful destination for a beach holiday in Blokhus in Jutland with privately owned holiday homes or apartments. Blokhus is part of the North Jutland region and can be quickly reached via Aalborg Airport. There are direct flights from Frankfurt am Main, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam. You can also travel by express trains operated by Danish State Railways. Additionally, you can quickly reach Denmark and your holiday destination in the north of the country at Jammer Bay in North Jutland via the motorway through Flensburg. Rent a cozy house or a chic, luxurious accommodation with a garden and sauna, surrounded by forests and fishing villages, and enjoy an unforgettable journey full of pleasure, destinations, and attractions.
