We had a fabulous week at the Chatibot. It is the overall package that convinced us.
First, the magnificent property. The castle-like, imposing building, which doesn't send you back to the dark Middle Ages but is equipped with very good amenities and comfort and invites you to feel at home.
The garden, the sensational pool (with colored lighting effects if desired), the many delightful seating areas, the barbecue, etc. The clever arrangement of the apartments is very successful, so that you can also be alone. You live in the middle of an idyllic, original piece of nature. Down below is the river, in the village a small but fine bakery, and nearby a highly recommended horse stable.
And then there is the location: we made great trips to Avignon, Uzes, Nimes, kayaking under the Pont du Gard, etc. Granted, the last few meters of the drive can be a bit tight, but a) the host is very helpful, and b) you hardly want to leave once you're there anyway. There is also a bread delivery service.
However, what makes it special is the host and his lovely family. From the attentive, helpful contact beforehand to the many good tips during the stay and the pleasant care behind the scenes - all of this has made Chatibot not just an accommodation but a home. A home in southern France - what more could you want? Clear recommendation.
