We spent two beautiful weeks in this little house. Particularly noteworthy are the great surroundings that invite hiking, the thoughtful furnishings with a great reading chair, and the helpfulness of the landlords. We were warmly welcomed, including a welcome beer and an introduction to everything important about the house. When the temperatures became record-breaking, we were even provided with a fan, which we gratefully accepted. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished and is located almost at the beginning of a steep road that winds further up the mountain and leads directly into a wooded hiking area. The parking lot is only a few meters from the house. From the long covered balcony, one looks out over Obertrubach, especially the church and the cemetery. The church bell has a strange system for when and how often it strikes; that remains a village secret :-)
Just a 5-10 minute walk away, there is a convenient little village shop that offers bread/rolls and a selection from Rewe, so you can easily stock up on the essentials.
For us, it is a great starting point for many excursions in the region (Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Bayreuth are highly recommended).
