We have here very quickly felt at home, especially since the whole area is accessible for guests. Booked at short notice, our choice was an absolute "golden find." Far away from the usual tourist hustle and bustle, we arrived at a place that was infinitely beautiful, quiet, dreamy, and yet very lively. In our small, typically Portuguese furnished apartment with a huge private terrace, we had a place of absolute tranquility. The entire estate is nestled between hills, covered with ancient cork oaks, where cattle and sheep with their lambs graze scattered. A magical garden - like a lush green oasis in the midst of the landscape dried out by the summer heat - provided fresh vegetables every day for both big and small hunger, - the blooming flower beds, palm trees, oleanders, and fig trees, along with the wisteria hedge, scattered throughout the vast property, were a delight. A private reservoir and a large, extremely well-maintained swimming pool also offered refreshment even in the greatest heat. Our hostess always had an open ear for questions, was exceptionally hospitable, and made an effort to make her guests' stay as pleasant as possible. We spent three weeks at the estate, and it was very difficult for us to say goodbye to this enchanted place at the end of our vacation.
