The property and its immediate surroundings immediately appealed. The wide open environment on one side of the house and still a lot of privacy through the trees and shrubs along the "platform" side. The way in which the station building was renovated while retaining all the original elements is clever. Swimming pool, trees, hammocks ... there was just everything. It remains, of course, a building of a good century old :) The drain of the shower was also on leave and needed some time to drain the water. But that was also the only downside for us. We were already allowed to check in in the morning, this was a friendly gesture from the owner. The house is in a very quiet, beautiful area where you can walk among the fields and old houses. The village is just a few kilometers away and has a supermarket, a bakery and a few cafés. There was everything we needed. The house itself had a very large swimming pool that was nicely fenced with a fence, ideal to make it safe for the children. Water temperature was delicious. There were also good and plenty of loungers at the pool. The kitchen was small, but all appliances worked well and were present. Inside there is 1 large living space with seats and a TV. This has a large window, which makes it pleasantly light at all times. There are also two other living spaces, where there is little light. We have never been here, but these are actually superfluous spaces. Shower and WC "s were ok. The upstairs rooms were spacious and everything we needed was provided. Outside is a large space, ideal for the kids and cozy to sit outside in the shade of a tree in the middle of the center square. There were also plenty of umbrellas to provide shade and in the area we did a day trip to Poitiers and a nice lake.
