This was the second time we stayed in the Black Forest House and I have to say that the owner has changed a lot of things and bought new things, so all in all we were very satisfied. The house was clean and tidy, even the fireplace was already burning when we arrived so we didn't have to sit cold. A cottage by the woods that delights people and dogs alike. However, if you otherwise reside in a 5 * hotel, you are in the wrong place, it is an old Black Forest house, which offers everything you need for a nice holiday, but no luxury and also according to the age of the house, who does not mind a few cobwebs, or some dust, will spend a wonderful time here.
We felt very comfortable and will come again.

Beautiful holiday

Due to the circumstances, we wanted to spend our vacation in Germany this year and struck gold with the Neumann's vacation rental.

The apartment was perfect for the two of us and our French Bulldog. Everything was clean and tidy, and all the necessary cooking equipment was available. The pots might be a bit small for four people.

The Neumanns kindly provided ingredients for a first meal, as well as accessories for the dishwasher, washing machine, and first shower. They had already prepared a bed, bowls, toys, and treats for our dog.

A bakery, pub/pizzeria, and beverage market were just around the corner, with a supermarket and a bank within walking distance. In the vicinity, there is a small art museum, an open-air museum, mini-golf courses, and a sensory experience park.

The vacation rental is located in a quiet area, and we enjoyed the peaceful life in Gutach overall. It seemed far removed from the expected tourist crowds, which we only briefly encountered when passing through Triberg.

Even when hiking on the Gutach Valley Trail, which starts directly in the village, it was very quiet on a Sunday. Thanks to the included KONUS guest card, we not only received various discounts at nearby attractions but also had free access to all public transportation. However, traveling by car is recommended, as some highlights like Blindensee are a bit remote, and traveling around with a dog could be tiring using buses and trains.

We will definitely recommend the Neumann's vacation rental and are looking forward to vacationing in the Black Forest again soon.
