In casa lisa, one glimpses the past. Relieved by the comfort of the house and the preparation, we enjoyed only the most beautiful sides of summer country life : - peace, simplicity, harvesting vegetables from our own garden, dairy products from the neighbour, open fire - spared from "polyacryl kitsch" and TV - everything touchingly simple and real and honest - does you good!

And you can also go out for a meal in this mini village - even the best! Christian gave us (besides delicious homemade apple juice) valuable tips - e.g. for the overnight stay in Sibiu - many thanks again! - Heike and Andreas

A week's holiday with children and dog in Casa Pelu was a dream. The holiday home is modern, rustic and lovingly furnished and the three bedrooms (over 2 floors) offered a wonderful amount of space for our three children (9 to 15 years), which we didn't need because we were only outside.....

The kitchen is equipped with modern and new appliances and is simply good. Unfortunately there is no oven, but that is not a shortcoming. The on-site support for questions by Nico and his wife was great and always competent. By the way, you should definitely take advantage of the offer to order food from Nico's wife. It tastes heavenly good and rounds off a great day. The products from the village (goat cheese, eggs, zacusca.....) are also super fresh and delicious

Oh yes, and of course everything was ready on time and spotlessly clean when we took over on Saturday. Great

In short, simply a great holiday home to which we will certainly travel more often

Even if the building services are not up to Western European standards, this is more than compensated for by the idyllic cosiness of the house and the irresistible openness and friendliness of the landlords. As a guest, you should bring a certain amount of composure with you, as the large kitchen and garden are sometimes used to cater for tour groups and you are therefore not always (but mostly) alone. However, this fact opens up some opportunities to make contact with the local population (the cook and her helpers are Romanian) and to learn more about the country and its people than in some other holiday homes. We enjoyed our holiday there very much and would come back any time. However, you definitely need a car if you want to explore beyond the village boundaries (which is highly recommended).
