restful solitude

We spent a few very relaxing days with Mrs. Breitenberger.
She owns a beautiful house that is located secluded in the forest.
It was equipped with everything one needs to be self-sufficient.
Her garden is completely fenced, which was perfect for our dog.
We could let her outside without any restrictions (Mrs. Breitenberger's cat is very fast, luckily ;) ). We were especially charmed by Mrs. Breitenberger's warmth (she always had something delicious for our dog as well) and we will definitely come back! ! ! !

Pure peace and relaxation

We stayed with our Golden Retriever Lucky in this very quiet and idyllic holiday apartment. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and our dog greeted with a treat. Mrs. Breitenberger is a very welcoming landlady and gave us many tips on excursions, swimming opportunities with a dog, restaurants, etc. Thanks to a detailed description from Mrs. Breitenberger, finding the way was not a problem, as a navigation system unfortunately does not know the way. There was no luxury, but that didn't bother us or our dog at all, as the beautiful nature and surroundings more than made up for it. We will gladly come back here. We were warmly greeted (with treats for our dog) by the landlady, she was open to all questions, accessible and very friendly.

If a simple kitchen and bathroom do not bother you, you will find a cozy, clean and lovingly furnished apartment here, in a quiet and secluded location in the middle of the forest, where you can relax and unwind - a dream in a warmer season. The property is completely fenced, so you can let your four-legged friend run freely, there is only one passage to the landlady's front door.

After a while, you don't hear the noise of the highway anymore.

We found it super nice and were able to get an impression of the Spreewald in the four days.

The flat itself is large and very clean. Everything you need is there. The beds were cosy and comfortable. We felt very comfortable. It is a very quiet location and you can relax and regenerate very well.

Idyllic

Really great ! Situated in the middle of the forest. Very nice helpful landlady ! Very fond of animals ! Lübbenau is easy to reach for shopping , shopping and a boat trip . The forest is especially beautiful right next to the house . We were there in November . Only the TV was always a challenge to get into the programme in the evening, but we always managed it. It would be nice if it were easier. Wifi is also available and works. TV and wifi are more important in the early darkening season than in the summer months, where you would rather spend the evening in the beautiful little garden to let the day end. It was a great holiday!

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung

Located right in the middle of "Somewhere in the Forest", this idyllic holiday apartment is easy to reach and centrally located to many attractions such as Glashütte, Tropical Island, and the Spreewald.

The holiday apartment is lovingly furnished and offers enough space for 3-4 people or families with several children. The equipment is good, and almost everything you need is available. The only thing missing is a stove, but there are two hotplates. Right next door lives the nice owner Mrs. Breitenberger, who is happy to help with any questions and knows a lot to tell about the area.
Conclusion: Definitely recommended for people who like to escape the hustle and bustle of the present for a few days.

Unbezahlbarer Luxus

The magnificent location in the middle of nature and the concerts of the birds are simply priceless. Very affordable, on the other hand, is the small holiday home located in the midst of nature, which is simply fantastic for guests seeking peace and relaxation. The landlady, Mrs. Breitenberger, is available on-site and also provides tips for excursions and restaurants in the nearby area. The vacation, which could not take place twice due to Corona, was now even more beautiful on the third attempt. We will gladly come back and have already recommended this wonderful spot to others. Thank you very much to Mrs. Breitenberger once again. One small suggestion: Maybe you could purchase a mini oven for the kitchen so that guests can bake croissants for breakfast, we brought our own. Ein Kleinod in der Natur

The accommodation is not suitable for vacationers who expect luxury, comfort, frills, and fuss. It is a very old converted sheepfold. It is definitely renovated with a lot of love, but kept rather simple. There is no real stove with an oven, only a 2-plate cooktop. The toilet is not in a room with a door, but just a curtain. The sink is two rooms further. It all sounds strange, but also creates a special charm. And perhaps awakens a feeling for the luxury in which we live again. The true luxury of this accommodation, however, is revealed when one leaves the walls: the sheepfold feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, directly by the forest and fields, surrounded by nature. Open the door, let the dog out, and then follow yourself. The value of relaxation is immeasurable. The landlady lives next door, so she is always available as a contact person, but otherwise she is just as reserved as she is warm. We remember the old shepherd's cottage as a secret tip for undisturbed parent prime time (when the kids are not around), with extremely high recovery value through nature. Highly recommended! But not for big-city fancy divas. :-)

If you are looking for real relaxation away from the tourist crowds, Waldow (in the middle of the forest!) with Mrs. Breitenberger is the perfect place! Her little house seems to come straight from a fairy tale: idyllic, enchanted, almost absorbed by the lush nature around it. Dreamlike! Plus, the kind, warm, interesting, and discreet hostess! Our holiday apartment offered everything one could wish for: living space, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom - very clean and equipped with everything needed for self-catering. Very nice also the cozy dining area in the morning sun, the playful kittens Zenobia and Barbarossa... A car is helpful - with it, the Upper and Lower Spreewald can be easily reached. Our boat trips with Jörg from Schlepzig and Freddy from Lübben (3rd harbor) were great. In Lübben, make sure to visit the Castle Island with creatively laid out hiking trails and experience areas such as hill maze, sound garden, water playground, and SpreeLagoon! And in Lübbenau, don't just hang around the harbor, but definitely take a walk to the nearby city center. Our tip for Burg: Delightful is the Quarkplinz (secret recipe from great-grandmother, unlike pancake without yeast) at the traditional, family-run "Geschichts-Stübchen" across generations. What else? Oh yes, the cucumbers are really delicious!

Quietly and secretly.

We had never seen such a fully equipped holiday home before. There is so much that is even doubled, so that six people could almost completely use the house separately - then with three people each in half of the house. There is even a huge folder with personally compiled excursion tips. The accommodation offers plenty of unexpected, beautiful perspectives and seating inside and outside in the idyllic garden due to its winding shape. Therefore, it is also ideal for people who simply want to enjoy the tranquility there, as even without exploring the surrounding area, one can relax wonderfully. Bicycles are even available free of charge, in case one feels like venturing outside. With them, one can reach many destinations safely along the lonely forest paths, and the country roads have very little bothersome car traffic. I felt so at home that when I got back - still half-asleep - I kept looking for the bathroom in my house using the layout of the vacation home I had internalized after only a few days, and thus bumped into one of my own walls. . .

You will find everything you need, and if something is missing, Mrs. Breitenberger will help immediately.
For her guests, she has just purchased a practical solar shower for the garden; she also provided a lot of excursion tips.
Our highlights were the boat trip in Schlepzig and visiting the old towns of Luckau, Lübbenau, and Dahme. In Golßen, the nearest shopping city, there is a factory outlet for Golßener meat and sausage products and a farm shop for the famous Spreewald preserves.
Grill accessories are fully available.
Those interested in motorcycles will enjoy the Spreewaldring.
The Motodrom is located directly on the way to the holiday apartment.
Swimming is great at Oderiner See with a small sandy beach and shady spots.

We found a lovingly maintained cottage. It is located with one other neighbor in the middle of the forest. We found everything we needed for our vacation. For breakfast and dinner, we had the choice of two beautiful seating areas in the garden. We traveled with two Beagles, who went for two walks through the forest every day and sometimes also walked on a little-used road. We visited Schlepzig several times, took two punt rides with Mr. Lehmann, walked the nature trail, and explored other paths along the Spree arms. Shopping is convenient in Golßen at Penny or Rewe. For lunch, we ate at the brewery in Schlepzig, the Haffstübchen, or in Groß Wasserburg at Unterspree. It was a great vacation that we can continue again. One limitation for those expecting luxury. However, Mrs. Breitenberger compensates for this with her caring nature.

Quiet and close-to-nature holiday home in the forest

Mrs. Breitenberger's holiday home is located in the middle of the forest. The accommodation is ideal for nature lovers with children. They can romp around, play, and explore the area outside. Schlepzig and the Tropical Island can be reached by car in 15 minutes. The bicycles on site are a bit old, so we decided to drive by car to go paddling. It was even more beautiful to barbecue in the garden in the evening silence with bird chirping. However, Mückenspree should not be forgotten. A true idyll and a hidden gem. We will come back.

Pure nature!

Those looking for luxury are definitely in the wrong place. The accommodation is located in the middle of nature and is accordingly equipped and designed. However, nothing is missing to make you feel at home. The two of us and our dog felt at home.
With children it could be a bit cramped but it is certainly possible.
It is absolutely necessary to come by car as the Alte Schäferei is a bit remote. But you can easily explore the Lower and Upper Preewald by car. All the sights worth seeing are not very far away.
The nearest shopping centre in Golßen is only a few kilometres away.
A punt trip in Schlepzig is highly recommended - here you can really enjoy the Spreewald and its beautiful nature. Call and book beforehand is recommended. We had our trip with the Fischer family and really had a punt just for the two of us. Of course, the dog was also allowed to come along. Mrs (!) Fischer, dressed in traditional Spreewald costume, went to a lot of trouble to make this experience unforgettable for us.
The stays in our accommodation were also very relaxing. At most, you are "disturbed" by the animals of the forest, but if you don't love nature, you won't come here anyway.
A tip from the landlady Mrs. Breitenberger even enabled us to observe the first cranes in the Luckau basin. From September to October, up to 7000 cranes come from Poland and rest there on their migration to their winter quarters.
As for the accommodation itself, I can only confirm that everything mentioned in the description is available. As already mentioned, we didn't lack anything. Even the problem with the water pressure, which was mentioned in a previous description, is not worth mentioning. You can't expect everything to work in such remote old buildings as it does in the city. Those who live in the countryside will confirm this

Three days of pure relaxation

We, three women, came here to spend a long weekend in beautiful quiet surroundings near the Spreewald and were not disappointed. The house is located a few kilometres away from the nearest town in the middle of the greenery. It is comfortably furnished and we didn't miss anything in terms of equipment

The river Spree and also restaurants and shops are a few kilometres away. So it's a good idea to arrive by car
The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. The only problem is that the water pressure in the shower drops quickly, which could be fixed in the future, and the folding door to the toilet could be problematic if you are not travelling with close family members
Overall, however, a beautiful, lovingly designed accommodation that I can only warmly recommend.

Holidays in the middle of the forest

Highly recommended for us without reservation. I was there with my adult daughter and a dog. The 14 days passed too quickly. There is incredibly much to see, a lot to do, but also to enjoy the peace and let your soul dangle. Also suitable for children and dogs, as many, also educational, activities are possible in the entire area. The cozy old farmhouse is rented out by a very kind lady who always provided us with good tips, such as taking a boat ride in Schlepzig with our dog. There we found the extremely friendly boatman Jörg Lehmann, who took our little dog without the stupid muzzle and was also immediately willing to transport just the two of us with our dog. We felt the warmth of Mrs. Breitenberger already on the way to the little house as very pleasant and we immediately felt welcome. We look forward to a next time.

Alte Schäferei

We found this accommodation by chance as we were at the Spreewaldring with our motorcycles. The distance is only about 1.5 km away.
The holiday apartment is very idyllic in the forest. Everything you need is there.
We had our 2 dogs with us, who also felt very comfortable.
We will definitely come back!!!!!

Vacations are most beautiful when you remember them.

At Mrs. Breitenberger's holiday home, we were able to leave everyday life behind. We were warmly welcomed, pampered with homemade bread and jam, and her helpful tips introduced us to the Spreewald and its surroundings. The house is surrounded by forest, promising absolute peace and inviting for walks. In the evenings, we were sung to sleep by a nightingale. As the house is described, we can say that we felt comfortable, and we will be very happy to come back.

Very nice accommodation

I felt very comfortable in the house. It's huge for one person. There is a living room, kitchen, and study room with a very nice view of the greenery!

Amidst nature, quaint and relaxed

It's all as described, a small cozy cottage in the countryside, which offers a lot of space despite its only 50m2 due to the practical room layout. Mrs. Breitenberger is very helpful, accommodating, and personable, and I immediately felt comfortable and well taken care of. Wi-Fi is limited in use, as there is no flat rate. The nature is fantastic! You are right in the green surrounded by forest and fields, the nearest village is 2km away. Ideal to unwind for a few days. Overall, I can highly recommend the accommodation!

Very great accommodation!

With Mrs Breitenberger, I can simply relax

As a couple with dog and cat, we were warmly welcomed. Cleanliness and service were simply top!
The idyllic forest was a great place to relax, and there is a great connection to the next larger village via the A13.
We were provided with everything we needed for our holiday. Also bicycles! Wi-Fi, as well as our own garden compartment with terrace and outdoor shower + barbecue were provided for our use
Price/performance was tip-top.

Mrs Breitenberger is a very nice young lady who likes to welcome everyone to her forest cottage!
