Description

Relax in your individual holiday home with its own garden! The cottage has a lovely kitchen on the ground floor with a dining area from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the green garden. In the cosy living room with flat-screen TV, you can relax in the evening after exciting excursions or hikes. On the ground floor, next to the kitchen and the living room, there is a separate bedroom with a single bed and a toilet, as well as a wardrobe in the hallway. The stairs lead to the first floor with two individual bedrooms (one with two beds and one with a bed of 1.40m) and a spacious bathroom with shower and washing machine. Everything you need is available in the house. From the coffee machine, the ital. Espresso maker and a milk frother to toys and painting materials. You will find maps, brochures and flyers for excursions and gastronomy tips in the cottage. There are two bicycles in the cellar, which you can get outside very quickly via the rear cellar exit. Feel at home and enjoy yourself!

Location and surroundings of object

The house (semi-detached) has a beautiful, quiet location on the outskirts of the village, next to a horse meadow. The garden is for your exclusive use, with garden furniture and chair cushions for 5 people and two garden loungers. Feel free to find a spot in the sun or shade that suits you best. The carport can of course be used. There is also a charcoal grill (and charcoal ;-)) and a dartboard. There is room for 4 cars. Within walking distance there is a small shop and a village pub "Zur Krone "(with good regional cuisine).
The holiday home is situated on the outskirts of the small village of Arenshausen, 14 km from the well-known spa town of Heiligenstadt (Theodor Storm Museum, Vitalpark Therme). There is everything for a sufficient supply in the village, but no touristic highlights. Arenshausen is a very nice starting point for hiking, cycling, riding or swimming, for tours in the varied surroundings, for sightseeing of all kinds, art and culture or just for relaxing in the house and garden. Thuringia and the Eichsfeld offer a beautiful, slightly hilly landscape, lots of nature with beautiful forests and meadows. There are many castles and palaces to see. Hanstein Castle and the Teufelskanzel (Devil's Pulpit) are close by. At Rothestein Castle and Berlepsch Castle you can enjoy gastronomy with a beautiful view. The Werra River also invites you to take part in a variety of activities. Pretty half-timbered towns, such as Witzenhausen, invite you to take a stroll. The nice little town of Bad Sooden Allendorf (18 km) has a lot to offer besides the brine bath. Göttingen (20 km) has a botanical garden that is well worth seeing. The Hainisch National Park is also worth a visit. A border museum of the history of German division is nearby and offers moving stories. Lake Werratal invites you to swim and take a boat trip. It is worth exploring the beautiful area again and again.

Highly recommended!

We felt very comfortable again in Eva's holiday cottage on Höhberg. We were there for the second time - this time for 8 days and it was simply perfect for our needs. A cozy half of a double house with 3 bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and warm heating. Everything you need was available. Also for cooking and relaxing. The surroundings were simply relaxing. We could sit in the garden and listen to the birds singing. Everything very beautiful and lovely. We will definitely come back when we are in Germany.

Very beautiful holiday home

We are now here for the 4th time and not for the last time in this vacation home, dear Mrs. Grotemeyer.

The accommodation was clean and Mrs. Lenk is very friendly. It was great again. Everything was there - we went on nice trips, including to the Sausage Museum in Mühlhausen and to the Wasserkuppe.

Let the soul dangle.

As soon as you see the holiday home, the vacation begins. The accommodation exudes so much charm that you feel immediately at home. Inside, the house is lovingly equipped with everything you need and desire. Everything is super clean, the house radiates a cozy atmosphere, and invites you to relax. House in a perfect location for nature lovers.

The holiday home is peacefully located on the outskirts of the village. Inside, you won't miss anything. The rooms have a cozy charm and you immediately feel at home. Both the landlady and the on-site manager are super helpful and friendly people. The surroundings of the house have countless natural beauties to offer, which can be reached in a short distance. But you can also start on foot or by bike - with very good connections to the regional cycling network. All in all, a place where your vacation begins right upon arrival and unfortunately ends too soon. We have already stayed in this accommodation twice and it will not be the last time.

Beautiful holiday home

Beautiful house that leaves nothing to be desired. Good, uncomplicated booking, also with dog and "special wishes" (allergy sufferer duvets). The surroundings are beautiful, but some of the hiking trails are not well marked and Komoot trails are not accessible. We had a relaxing and restful week. Thank you very much!

Very nice holiday home in Arenshausen

Very nice holiday home - one of the best we have had so far

Shopping facilities (Netto) 10 minutes on foot, restaurant "zur Krone" 3 minutes on foot and the Pizzaria "Milano" approx. 10 minutes

The following destinations can be reached within max. 45 minutes by car

Hanstein, border museum Teistungen and Schiffersgrund, wildlife park Hoher Meissner - top for children,
Leinebad in Leinefelde and much more.

Great vacation home

We were here for the first time and would love to come back.
The country and the people... we like everything here! Not to mention the delicious food ;-)
We love the beautiful Eichsfeld!
The holiday home is nostalgically furnished, very cozy.

If you're looking for peace and quiet, you will find it here.
There is a lot to discover in the surrounding area.

Goldene Herbsttage im gemütlichen Ferienhaus

We, 3 women and a dog, felt very comfortable in Eva's holiday cottage. The furnishings are simple but functional. We found everything we needed for our meals in the kitchen (except for a citrus juicer :-)). In the living room, we made ourselves comfortable after our explorations. We even were able to use the garden for a long barbecue evening, as the weather was good. The landlady is very friendly and the caretaker is immediately available when needed. We had a wonderful holiday and can highly recommend Eva's holiday cottage.

Relaxed weekend - nothing was missing.

We (4 friends and 2 toddlers) know each other from our time studying in Göttingen, and Eva's holiday home was the perfect accommodation for our reunion weekend. We were welcomed very warmly, and despite the rainy November weather, it was already comfortably warm in the house. The rooms were clean, and a crib and high chair were provided for the children. The facility is quaint with attention to detail, and in our opinion, not worn down but well-maintained (the photos on the site give a good impression!). The kitchen is very well equipped, offered plenty of space for us, and invites to cozy get-togethers. Additionally, the house contains many hiking maps, brochures, and business cards with information about the region, often accompanied by personal recommendations from the landlords. We were able to relax very well and can highly recommend the cottage even in autumn weather!

Ferienhaus

So the area is very beautiful, the furniture is very worn out. It was advertised as dog-friendly, but the dog is not allowed on the upper floor, so we stayed downstairs in Grandma's living room. The equipment is okay, but the furniture is very old. One must be very quiet; it's laughable. Next door, there was a party, so we couldn't sleep all night. Our conclusion is that we would love to come back to this area, but not to this house. For the price, we have seen better options. Additionally, it was advertised that there are 2 bikes, but we only found one, so the bike tour was also canceled.

Liebe Familie S. , es tut uns sehr Leid, dass es Ihnen in unserem Ferienhaus nicht gefallen hat. Auf den Bildern kann man glaube ich gut sehen, wie wir eingerichtet sind. "Abgewohnt" empfinden wir es nicht, zumal der 70ger Jahre Sessel gerade neu bezogen wurde und auch neue Toiletten installiert wurden. Natürlich handelt es sich nicht um neues Mobiliar, auch die Küche ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber funktionstüchtig. Uns und vielen Gästen gefällt es gerade so. Aus Rücksicht auf Gäste die nicht mit Hunden leben haben wir uns entschlossen, dass die Hunde nicht in die obere Schlafzimmeretage dürfen, dies steht ja auch deutlich auf unserer Seite. Unser Haus steht am Rand eines Dorfes und nicht in Alleinlage, da haben wir leider keinen Einfluss darauf wenn in der Nachbarschaft einmal gefeiert wird. Es tut mir wirklich Leid, dass es ausgerechnet an dem Wochenende war als Sie dort waren. Es kam dann wohl alles zusammen...Auch ein Rad war gerade in Reparatur. Schade, dass Sie unsere Hausbetreuerin nicht darauf angesprochen haben, sie hätte bestimmt schnell für Ersatz gesorgt. Ich wünsche Ihnen für Ihre nächste Reise in das schöne Eichsfeld viel Glück und eine zufriedenstellendes Ferienhaus.

Dear guests, my family and I, coming from the Bergisches Land, Bonn, Münsterland and Berline, always enjoy meeting in our holiday home in the " middle of Germany", in the beautiful Eichsfeld. We enjoy the beautiful area and also like to visit the nice little towns nearby. We always find something new to see and we enjoy the little time-outs very much!
