We can only confirm the impressions from all the other positive reviews that this holiday accommodation has received. The three of us spent 2 wonderful weeks with Maxim in Ploubazlanec and it was definitely not the last time - we will be back!


We stayed for 1 week in one of the newer wooden houses and then changed to one of the "older" houses (this was already agreed upon when booking, otherwise a 2-week stay would not have been possible). Both accommodations were in tip-top order, there was everything you need and much more. We have rarely experienced such a well-equipped kitchen in a holiday accommodation (this applies to both houses!). The location of Ploubazlanec was perfect for us as a starting point for the activities we did. Thanks to Maxim's helpful tips, we found and discovered great places in the immediate vicinity. Dear Maxim, thank you very much for the valuable tips, but especially for your hospitality. In conclusion, we can say that Brittany "captured" us, we felt incredibly comfortable and will definitely come back.

Brittany fans become

We were 2 couples and spent 12 super great days in Ploubazlanec. The house is great and offers a lot of space even for 6 people. We have stayed in different holiday homes all over Europe for many years, but we have never experienced such an extensively equipped kitchen. We didn't want for anything else either.

Maxime's explanations, tips and his knowledge and enthusiasm for the area his family comes from should be highlighted. This gave us insights and a feeling for Brittany that we would never have had without him - thank you!

You can't have it any better

We, a couple from the Lower Rhine, felt very comfortable in one of Maxim's beautiful houses. The house is very well equipped, there is really nothing missing. The rooms are all large, clean and cozy. The terrace invites you to have breakfast in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening, with a view of the spacious garden. The surrounding area is also perfect, we were able to ride bikes, make excursions in the surroundings and go for walks. Maxim himself, who speaks virtually perfect German, always had a friendly and open ear. We were definitely not there for the last time and can highly recommend it.

Holiday in Brittany according to your wishes

We (middle-aged couple) stayed for the first time in Maxime's really beautiful wooden house and felt very comfortable there for four weeks. The furnishings, the size of the house and the equipment (the kitchen really has everything you need if you want to cook yourself) are perfect. Everything is very clean and there is enough crockery/cutlery. Having breakfast almost every morning on the terrace in the sun and in absolute peace was an absolute highlight for us. Ploubazlanec is a small, quiet village with two bakeries, a very good butcher, a small supermarket, a few restaurants/bars and a super good pizzeria. In the immediate vicinity, there are very beautiful circular hiking trails with great views of the sea and various bays. The care by the very friendly and perfectly German-speaking landlord Maxime, the surroundings and the good weather made it a super holiday for us. We will come again... Merci beaucoup et au revoir

Perfect

We (a couple without children) spent 2 weeks in one of Maxime's beautiful houses. For us, who love hiking, cycling and swimming, it was the perfect vacation. You can directly access one of the beautiful hiking trails from the house or start cycling right away. We used the tide for swimming in the evenings.
The house was a perfect fit in every way. Spacious, roomy and very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped, so we cooked every day.
Maxime is a very warm host. He knows the area like the back of his hand and was always there with many good tips. We will definitely come back!

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub

We were in Brittany with Maxime in the summer of 2019, two children, two adults. The landscape and surroundings immediately captivated us; the beach was just a short 10-minute walk from the house, and there was a heavenly peace. There are great hiking trails, for example to L'ile de Brehat, Maxime gave us great tips on what to do and where, which was fantastic. In the house, we felt very comfortable; it was tip-top clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Even reading in German. We will gladly come back.

Wonderfully sunny autumn holiday...

We spent 2 wonderful and varied autumn holiday weeks with our 3 children (9y., 7y., 5y.) in this well-equipped beautiful wooden house. The children loved playing football on the large lawn and being at the beach in a few minutes walk. The surrounding beaches, a short drive away, offered great scenery and indeed, even at the end of October, several great swimming experiences for our children! The friendly landlord Maxime, who speaks perfect German, was always present if we wanted him to be and provided us with tips for nice excursions tailored to our needs. The Wi-Fi connection worked well throughout and the kitchen equipment left nothing to be desired. There was also a well-stocked bookcase, even with German-language travel literature. We will be happy to come back!

Dream holiday homes for a relaxing holiday

We (family with two children - 3 and 7) spent two wonderful weeks in Ploubazlanec in summer 2018. The houses are very well furnished. Especially the kitchen utensils were impressive. Apart from the normal utensils, there was everything you need to eat fresh seafood. Our house ("street side") even had a sea view from the top floor. The name "street side" should not be a deterrent. There are hardly any cars here. The large garden behind the house was ideal for playing football and flying kites.

The beach is a ten-minute walk along a narrow path. It is mainly a rocky beach with a small amount of sand, but even in the holiday season there was not much going on and there is a big difference between high and low tide, so you can always find a nice spot. The beach is ideal for children because the sea slopes shallowly and the bay is a natural protection against large waves. However, the beach is not supervised. Be sure to bring a net and bucket. You can also collect crabs yourself here

Nice alternatives can be found in Loguivy de la Mer (sand) and Porz Even. There you can also buy seafood directly at the harbour.

In general, the area is very beautiful and not yet so overrun by tourism. Besides the beaches, our highlights were the Abbaye de Beauport, the Ile de la Brehat and Tonquedec Castle

We really enjoyed our time in Brittany. Great house!

We felt very comfortable in Ploubazlanec. It is wonderfully spacious. There are large rooms and the facilities are great! Microwave, dishwasher, iron and ironing board, washing machine, shower AND bathtub, plus a very well-equipped kitchen - that's not a given everywhere!

We also enjoyed the nice contact with the landlord Maxime very much. He gave us wonderful tips for excursions in the surrounding area.

While everyone in Germany was sweating at well over 30 degrees, we really enjoyed the pleasant temperatures of around 24 degrees in Brittany. At night it cooled down considerably, so you could always sleep well

Pure relaxation - possible even with 6 people

The house is in good condition, nothing is missing. The landlord is very friendly and gives very good tips (sightseeing, exhibitions, markets, landscapes).
We were lucky with the weather: not a drop of rain. The area is as dreamlike as the sea, the plants from hydrangeas to artichokes. Not to mention the wonderful seafood and cider. We are already planning for next year!!!

A dream of a holiday home - vacation with a "soul-dangling effect"

We have just returned from a dream vacation, at least physically. However, our soul is still dangling from a cliff at the shore near Ploubaznalec. We owe it all to Maxime that our vacation was unforgettable, and in a completely positive sense.

The vacation home is very spacious and overall very well-equipped. Bicycles are also available. Even if you are indoors with several people in less than ideal weather, there are enough retreat options to, for example, read undisturbed.

We discovered the surroundings as a hiking region. After a relatively short drive, you can experience various breathtakingly beautiful coastal landscapes along the CR34 coastal hiking trail - for example, as a day trip.

It is highly recommended to bring sturdy hiking shoes (ankle-high).

Für Wiederholungstäter

The house and the area far exceeded the internet description. January and the beach? While there was sometimes rain and dark clouds, there was also sunshine, deserted beaches, blossoming plants everywhere, the sea shimmers in dreamy colors, mild temperatures. . . . we didn't regret a single day. Two weeks were far too short to explore everything. That's why we immediately reserved the house for October. A special thanks to Maxime, who not only speaks fluent German but is also an exceptional and warm host. He has many tips on what to do in the area. He knows where to collect the best oysters and where to go treasure hunting on the beach.

A dream of a vacation

We were four (4 adults) at Maxime's holiday house. The impression online does not do it justice. It is better than described. Prior to the vacation, everything ran smoothly with great communication and a very easy process. The house is delightful and very clean. The rooms are spacious and very cozy. Everything you need and more is available. Especially the kitchen is generously equipped. The beds are very comfortable, so we slept very restfully. It is located above the bay in a very quiet residential area. The necessary shops are easily accessible in the center, and on Sundays in Ploubazlanec and Tuesdays in Paimpol, the market invites you to buy fresh regional products. Maxim is a very friendly landlord who provided us with excellent tips for the 14 days and checked on us regularly. The bay can be reached on foot in 5 minutes, other great spots like the Widow's Cross or Pors Even, the harbor with its many small islands, can be reached via very nice paths along the coast in 15 minutes. But also in the surrounding area, thanks to many tips, there is a lot to discover for vacationers who like to venture off the beaten path. The landscape, especially the coast, surprises within a radius of 1 hour by car with many different faces, gentle beaches, rugged coves, and wild cliffs. There was a bit of everything. Conclusion: It was a very varied, relaxing vacation in a very cozy, good house. If we go back to this area, Maxime's house will be our first choice. Thank you Maxime.

Peace and coziness

We were looking for rest and quiet; we found it in the beautiful, spacious, and yet very cozy wooden house of Maxime. Located a bit off, a few minutes from the beach, we had a great week. I won't hide that the way TO the beach is a pleasant walk, while the way back is a bit challenging. The house is located above the beach. However, you are rewarded with a view of the sea from one of the upper bedrooms. I would describe the equipment as "almost complete" - we didn't miss anything in the equipment. Even oyster knives and large cooking pots are available. There is also enough dinnerware and cutlery to host several guests. Dishwasher and washing machine are available, and you can choose between a drip coffee maker and a Tassimo coffee machine. Cooking is done with gas. We will come back!

Relaxing days in a beautiful holiday home

The photo of the wooden house immediately caught our attention on the internet, and we were not disappointed upon our arrival. The house is very spacious, and the kitchen has everything you need. The necessary shops, especially the bakery and the lobster and shellfish seller, are also within walking distance, but it's better to use the available bicycles. The house is located in a beautiful and quiet area, it takes 20 minutes to ride to Paimpol by bike (even though it's only 5 km, there are ups and downs), and you can reach there in 1 hour via the beautiful coastal hiking trail. Paimpol offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants. The landlord gave us many great tips for activities, restaurants, etc. and it was beneficial that he speaks excellent German. For those of us who enjoy cooking in the holiday home: There were even German cookbooks in the extensive "library" of the house. We will gladly come back.

Wellness holiday in Brittany

Very nice holiday home with lots of space. The landlord speaks perfect German and gives many good tips for nice activities in the area. Quiet area where you can relax wonderfully.
A pebble beach is about 15 minutes' walk from the house, and with the bike, you can reach a beautiful sandy beach in about 20 minutes.
We had a very nice holiday.

Pure relaxation!

We (family with 2 children) stayed in Maxime's holiday home in the summer. The booking went smoothly via email. Maxime always responded very quickly to any questions, e.g. regarding key handover. The two-story house is super cozy due to the wooden construction. The kitchen equipment is perfect. We never missed anything there. It was also ideal for us that bicycles are included in the house's equipment. So we were able to go on very nice bike rides in the area around Ploubazlanec. The children were also enthusiastic about the space in the garden. The house is located in a very quiet area. Since I like to go swimming in the sea in the evenings, the short walk to the beach was very important to me. Via a small path, you can reach a very beautiful bay in 5 minutes where you can swim superbly. Brittany as a holiday destination offers everything you need. Very beautiful beaches and coves, but also many interesting excursions, such as great old towns or castles like the Château de la Roche Jagu. Maxime, who speaks perfect German, took an incredible amount of time to give us many tips for trips and restaurants, all of which were absolutely worthwhile. The vacation was very relaxing for us! Maxime, we would love to come back soon.

Very cozy house close to the sea. Highly recommended.

Hello Maxime, How are you? Thank you for your hospitality. The vacation in your house was very nice, I didn't think we could relax so well in just 7 days. The house, the area, and the people made our vacation very enjoyable.

The house is very cozy and stylishly decorated. Since the house is made of wood and very spacious, one feels very comfortable inside, the rooms are large and the ceilings are high. There is really nothing missing in the kitchen, all sorts of kitchen utensils and appliances are available. Even a Tassimo coffee machine is there! You can buy capsules at the supermarket in Paimpol.

We felt at home in the lovingly furnished house. The house is located in Ploubazlanec, a very quiet village. It is so quiet there, especially at night, that you can hardly imagine such peace. And at night, it is very, very dark, so you can see an incredibly large number of stars in the sky.

From the house, you can reach the beach in 5 minutes. There is a hiking trail nearby. You can enjoy walking or jogging. During low tide, the water recedes far, and you can search for oysters on the rocky banks, as there are thousands of them.

The area is very beautiful and quiet. Maxime gave us many tips on what to see in the area. The house and the area are highly recommended. Since the host (I don't want to call Maxime a landlord, as we really felt like his honored guests) speaks German and English, communication was no problem. In France, it is not common.

Simply great and absolutely recommendable

Simply great, highly recommended

We were a family of three with a small child staying in the house. The space was luxurious for us. However, it is also possible to comfortably vacation in the house with two families, for example, 4 adults and 4 children. The furnishings are tasteful and cozy, we lacked nothing. Maxime, the landlord, is very nice, he gave us many excursion tips and speaks perfect German. It is very quiet there, the beach is a 5-minute walk away. With the bicycles, you can quickly reach the village or be completely mobile with the car, of course. They even provided us with a high chair, a child seat for the bicycle, and a travel cot. So everything you need is there.

We will definitely come back. We were there at the end of September; maybe next time we will come in the summer. It is supposed to be pleasant and not too hot at that time. Also, it is not crowded, very quiet, with few tourists, and if any, mostly French. Even the locals were all super friendly to us, everyone had a short chat with us, we felt completely comfortable.

Perfect holidays in Ploubazlanec

I have spent a wonderful holiday with three children aged 16, 14, and 7 years in this perfectly equipped and beautifully located holiday home in Ploubazlanec near Paimpol and can fully recommend it for a successful family vacation. The house lacks nothing (very important for the children: there was flawlessly functioning Wi-Fi ;-)), it is spacious and extremely well-kept and tastefully furnished. The garden is large, and the children could romp and play soccer to their heart's content. You can have a wonderful breakfast on the terrace and enjoy the evening sun after a day at the beach or on an excursion. Or, if you want to take it really easy, you can do so all day, as there are also coves, sights (e.g., the famous Croix des Veuves), and restaurants with fresh seafood (e.g., in Pors-Even) within walking distance. Smaller excursions - even if it's just to the nearby bakery for morning baguettes and croissants or to the Sunday market with fresh products from Ploubazlanec and the surroundings - can be done by bicycle provided by the landlord free of charge. The landlord is very friendly and extremely helpful. Additionally, he speaks very good German. He is there when you need him, and he is ready to help without being pushy. Helpful and valuable are his tips for excursions in the area. Fantastic: Following his recommendation, we devoured the book "An Iceland Fisherman" by Pierre Loti, which gave us a special connection to the area around Ploubazlanec, Pors-Even, and Paimpol. It was simply the perfect vacation. Many thanks to Maxime.

Fantastische Ferien

The house is beautifully situated (a few minutes' walk to the beach), excellently furnished. Everything is clean, nothing is missing. The landlord (speaks very good German) is always helpful and accommodating, gives good tips, never intrusive. Well-kept, large property, quiet location.
