Unfriendly landlord has had bad experience with German guests.

The vacation rental is bright and simply furnished. If you want to have breakfast on the balcony with 4 people, it will be tight. The kitchenette is rather sparsely equipped. According to the description, a coffee machine is available. When we asked the landlord, we were told that there is no coffee machine in the equipment and that German guests always break everything. And sure enough, the next day the coffee machine was missing from the description of the amenities. Faulty light bulbs were only partially replaced. Those hoping for WiFi in the house will be disappointed. Neither the landlord nor the really nice staff at the bar know the password. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Good starting point for activities. Good shopping opportunities in the village. In our opinion, having a rental car is advantageous. We have never encountered such an unfriendly and negative landlord towards German guests in all the years of our travels. If we were to visit the beautiful island of Corfu again, we would definitely choose a different accommodation.

Super location - friendly owners

Amidst olive trees and blooming gardens, we spent 3 weeks in one of the holiday apartments only 200 m away from the picturesque beach of Gefyra. The apartment had a TV, air conditioning, a safe, and an ironing board - everything you need. Only a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and a stove - sufficient for the holiday. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, towels, and a hairdryer. We enjoyed the large pool every day with a fantastic view. We found the location to be one of the best in Liapades. We came back feeling relaxed, thanks to the friendly landlord family.

Empfehlenswerte

After five years, I finally had the pleasure of visiting the small village of Liapades in Corfu again. The Villa Linnea/Shambala Apartments have been beautifully renovated. The furnishings are highly modern, designed very brightly with plenty of space for sleeping and living. The cleanliness receives the highest score from me. I am often accustomed to something different on vacation! The pool has become EVEN more beautiful after the renovation. It is now very child-friendly. At the bar, you can enjoy small snacks in the afternoon and cool off with a "mixed juice," a "frappe," or ice cream. In the evening, you can relax with a cold "Corfu beer" or a cocktail. The staff, especially Spiros, the owner, are incredibly polite and courteous. Every request is fulfilled, and if there are any problems, someone is right there to help. In general, the Greeks in this place are very helpful and friendly. In the area, there are many small taverns and bars with pools, where one is always welcome.
I would just like to address one point that I really did not like at all... Corfu is known to be an island with many cliffs and rather small beaches - the more challenging to reach, the more beautiful! Please inform yourself beforehand about the conditions and location of a holiday destination, as a neighbor with crutches/wheelchair/advanced age with walking problems, who is constantly complaining, can significantly spoil the holiday mood! Nevertheless... I was incredibly happy to have been there again and will definitely fly back there next year.

Very beautiful house, fantastic pool, great people.

We stayed at an apartment in this Shambala complex in May. The apartment was newly renovated and very nice. The pool is very large and was always very clean (despite sometimes bad weather). You can lie under sunshades if you want, which is very pleasant in good temperatures and rain. All the staff were very nice and polite, and the price was totally okay. Highly recommended, especially the brand new, firm mattresses.

Superschön

I stayed at the Linnea House above the Safety Car car rental from 05.07. to 12.07.2016. The balcony offered a fantastic panoramic view of the sea and was conveniently located. It was about a 5-minute walk to the beach and approximately 15 minutes to the beautiful village of Liapades. There is also a bus stop in the village, making it easy to take the bus to Corfu Town or Paleokastritsa. Excellent service, with the studio being thoroughly cleaned every 2 days. Directly below the house is the pool with the pool bar Shambala, where you are served very friendly. Just a beautiful vacation!!!

House in the countryside in the romantic west of Corfu

House excellently romantic, located in the greenery, very large pool, quiet by the pool as well, good barbecue area, internet, television - everything one could want. The owner even has a fax machine that he offers for free. Delicious small dishes from the poolside kitchen.

Newly built house, top service.

The reception is very personal, customer-friendly, and uncomplicated. The key is simply in the lock - you don't have to complicatedly fetch it from someone. The staff always greet you, everyone speaks German - not a given in Greece. The staff give great tips about the area and the vacation, which we could use very well. We have rarely experienced such hospitality in Greece. One can see that the apartment has just been freshly renovated, new mattresses and furniture are tastefully furnished. A big thank you to the cleaning lady Spiridoula, born in Germany, who cleaned for us every day. The equipment of the kitchenette leaves nothing to be desired, new pans and pots, cooking utensils, and dishes in a tasteful design, sufficient for 6 people. The small restaurant by the pool ("snack bar") was used by us every morning for breakfast and in the afternoons for a snack lovingly prepared by the owner (recommendation: the club sandwich). All in a dreamy beautiful location with a beautiful idyllic setting, very well maintained - the gardener is very diligent every day (speaks German - when our daughter fell ill, he immediately called a doctor) and the pool is very nice. The hotel is very affordable, with attractive furnishings - as the owner explained to us, designed by an interior designer, which is noticeable. Only the weather slightly clouded our relaxation.

Dreamy pool in an unspoiled location

Our expectations were far exceeded. We arrived rather skeptical and were enchanted from the first to the last moment by the lovingly designed house, the most beautiful pool we have ever seen, and the friendly owners. A place and a house to fall in love with and visit again.

Beautiful house with pool, beach nearby

The house is beautiful, it has a pool and a garden, everything was clean and well-maintained.
There were 4 of us and we had plenty of space.
We were there with our 2 children, a baby cot was provided for the little one.
We mostly went swimming and grilled in the garden in the evenings.
We were very well informed about leisure activities in advance.

House with beautiful ambiance overlooking the bay.

Thanks to the extremely friendly owner couple, we felt welcome. We received great information and tips about the island and the village from them. Here, even the mother-in-law cleans the rooms herself, as often happens in Greece. Even when we had an accident, we were immediately taken to the hospital by him - hence a big praise. That is not to be taken for granted. The generously equipped holiday apartment with a townhouse character was very clean with very good double glazing. Total typical Greek hospitality from all employees - all staff and the tirelessly working owners around the clock.
The complex and the pool are great - with the most beautiful view up to Paleokastritsa. Subtle music from 11 a.m., which is immediately turned off at the guest's request. Every evening we enjoyed the absolute peace on our balcony, listening to the waves of the sea and the crickets. The location of the hotel is fantastic, in the most beautiful corner of the gorgeous island. We had a wonderful time and can recommend the resort due to its location and pool. During the setup, the owners themselves thought of small details - for the first time in our vacation in Greece, we had uninterrupted satellite reception (incredibly many German channels), a lot of dishes, and fast Wi-Fi. Great, affordable, courteous shuttle service to the airport. We looked at other apartments on the island - either much more expensive for the same equipment or much uncomfortable/simpler.

Wunderschöner Urlaub in einem schönen Dorf

Location of the house Linnea: Located slightly above Liapades Beach with a magnificent view of the sea from the large pool. Shopping possibilities, bakeries, restaurants, and the sea are within walking distance. Along the road towards the village, there are many small tavernas.
Facilities: The villa is in good condition, newly renovated, tastefully and modernly furnished. The space can accommodate four people in three spacious bedrooms. There are plenty of seating options and a great barbecue area.
Service: The landlord was very helpful and reliable. Special requests like extra bed sheets were promptly fulfilled. He even picked up the missing suitcase from the airport for us. He took good care of us and provided great tips for our stay in Corfu.

It was a wonderful week at the villa. We would love to come back.
