Description
Since 1891, our holiday home has stood in the centre of Otterndorf's historic old town. Although you can reach the market square or various grocery markets in just a few
Grocery markets, the house is very quietly located in a small cul-de-sac.
In the same year, the fast steamer " Augusta Victoria" of the shipping company HAPAG, after which we named our house, started from Cuxhaven, a few kilometres away, for the first tourist cruise in history to the Mediterranean.
The approx. 100 square metres of living space are spread over two floors. On both floors you will find a bathroom with shower
In the basement you will find the well-equipped kitchen, a bedroom and the living room with adjoining dining room.
On the upper floor you will find the larger of the two bedrooms. The room, which is over 27 square metres, also offers the possibility to put up a children's travel bed.
A back door leads into the small garden. In the middle of the city, you can sit here in the green, eat or simply relax. Cosy garden furniture and an electric barbecue are waiting for you.

The living room is furnished with comfortable upholstered furniture and a flat-screen TV.
The window offers you a view of the garden.
Through an opening you come directly into the dining room, where you can enjoy yourself at the large round table.
The kitchen
The small kitchen is equipped with an induction hob and an oven with integrated microwave. In addition to the dishwasher, a large refrigerator as well as a coffee maker, toaster and kettle are part of the basic equipment
Bedroom
On the ground floor you will find the smaller of the two bedrooms. Here you will find a bed that can be used as a single bed or as a full double bed. If you are travelling with only two people, this is the ideal place for a short nap or a short break.
The bathroom
The bathroom on the ground floor has a large washstand with drawers, a spacious glass shower and a washing machine.

Whether you want to enjoy the peace and quiet here alone or perhaps put in a children's travel bed, the size of this room offers you all the possibilities.

Directly next to the large bedroom you will find the small shower room on the upper floor.
Washbasin, WC and a corner shower are part of the equipment.

Our holiday home is located in the middle of the historic old town of Otterndorf in a quiet cul-de-sac with no through traffic.
You can reach the historic market square on foot in just a few minutes.
A discounter (LIDL) and a supermarket (Marktkauf) are also only a few minutes' walk away.
Cafés, restaurants and bakers are also within easy walking distance.
If you like to relax in the Sole-Therme with sauna area, you can also reach it on foot
You can reach the Elbe and the beach in Otterndorf by bike.

| The visitor's tax of the Nordseebad Otterndorf is due with the final payment. Currently, the visitor's tax per person over 18 years of age is € 2.00 per day in the low season and € 2.50 per day in the high season. The seasonal periods correspond to those of our house. Your spa card is valid throughout the region for the tourist communities of Nordseeheilbad Cuxhaven, Nordseebad Otterndorf, Erholungsort Wingst, Moorheilbad Bad Bederkesa and the Wurster North Sea Coast. |

The minimum rental period in the off-season is three nights. Arrival is flexible.
In the high season, the arrival day is always Saturday and rentals are weekly.
We charge €120 for the mandatory final cleaning.
The mandatory linen package including bed linen, towels, and drying cloths costs €18.50 per person. The beds are already made upon arrival. We have furnished our house with much love and taken great care to ensure that you feel comfortable as our guests. In case of any mishap during your stay or if you lose the key, we allow ourselves to charge a deposit of 200 €, which will be refunded to you no later than two weeks after your vacation, provided everything was in order upon your departure. A small pearl in a central location
It was our first holiday in Otterndorf (2 adults and our four-year-old daughter) and honestly the holiday home had attracted us there. The communication with the landlord was very transparent, courteous and sympathetic - from the rental to the handover to the farewell. The house itself is beautifully centrally located, all daily errands can be reached within 5-10 minutes. There are 3 very good bakers in the vicinity and invite you to test and compare. A larger shopping centre with a beverage market offers everything, there is even a selection of Alnatura organic products. We immediately felt at home in the house and our little daughter also liked it very much. The hallway invites you to run and hide, and parents will find two cosy sofas for rainy days to bury themselves in holiday reading. Fortunately, we also had many hours of sunshine. The small garden is ideal for sitting in the sun, relaxing or eating together. Thanks to its central location, the Augusta Victoria is above all an ideal starting point for everything the excursionist might have in mind: whether it's cycling to the fun and games barn, to the dyke or to the beach, with the rental bikes it's all done in 20 minutes - or 20+ km out towards Cuxhaven through herds of sheep and cows. The train station is also easy to reach on foot, if excursions to other places are desired. For an excursion to the Ahlenmoor we called a shared taxi (5.50 p.p. one way). Tip for imitators: Don't forget mosquito repellent in the Ahlenmoor, otherwise you risk unpleasant souvenirs. Conclusion: If you are looking for relaxation and a few balancing activities in the fresh North Sea air, you probably won't find a nicer and snugger place to rest and start in Otterndorf than the Augusta Victoria holiday home. We would book it again in a heartbeat.

Very pretty, well maintained and clean holiday home
The holiday home is nicely furnished and well equipped. The location is good if you don't want to be near the beach. It is located directly in a side street in the centre of town, everything is within walking distance, baker, restaurant, supermarket, shopping facilities. Nevertheless, it is very quiet there. The only disadvantage was that there was hardly any parking in the street, the residents there also asked to park the car somewhere else. However, there were only parking possibilities for two hours in the near vicinity. So you had to search a bit...

Prima holiday house - great equipment and location
We were in Otterndorf with the whole family. The location of the house in the village - between the shopping facilities - supermarkets and the town center - each about 3-400m away is great.
The house is beautifully and functionally furnished. Everything you need is available - actually even more than we are used to in vacation rentals. Two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a cozy living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. The surroundings also offer everything you would expect for the North Sea.
