Location and surroundings of object
Marena is a typical Tuscan old country estate of 100 hectares. From a country road a cypress avenue leads to the main buildings on a hill. The Palazzo from the 17th century, in which the amiable owners live, lies with various outbuildings and stylish family chapel in a small park with mature trees. A portion of the material is the farm buildings reserved; on field and forest paths you can explore the surroundings and fishing in a pond of land ownership. The Good is a small stud farm, riding stables and a riding school for children and adolescents (€ 18 / hr.); Mountain bikes are awarded!
In recent years, the former homes of farm workers have been restored under preservation orders, converted into cottages and leave in a peaceful location the wonderful view over meadows and Hochwald enjoy.

Holiday Courses: The Azienda Marena offers in cooperation with the state-recognized "Centro di Cultura Italiana Casentino Piero della Francesca" holiday language courses and intensive courses in Italian. The one-week summer courses for a minimum of 4 participants, which can take place directly in the daily Azienda comprise 2 classes; the 2- or 4-week intensive courses include 20 hours per week. There are courses for beginners and advanced, the emphasis is the spoken language. The intensive courses also include an accompanying program.
Extra: dinner at a reasonable fixed price (about 15 per person, children 13) in the typical restaurant "La Vite" in Soci (about 2 km). The family-owned for centuries Azienda Marena is located between the towns of Poppi and Bibbiena, in an area of very nice area of the Casentino, the upper part of the Arno valley, in the northeast of Tuscany between Florence and Arezzo. On a hill, visible from afar is Poppi, which is dominated by a mighty castle.
