Very nice vacation rental

Excellent holiday apartment, in beautiful Franconia. Large modern bathroom, all on one level, also suitable for seniors and people with limited mobility. The pool is also a lot of fun, with a good depth and counter-current system. Since it is filled with salt water, it does not smell like chlorine. The Glücksteins are super nice and friendly hosts with a top beer garden. Many beers to choose from, food is very good. Unfortunately, only open 3 days a week. Thank you again for everything, we will definitely come back.

Refreshing short vacation with feel-good atmosphere.

We had a really relaxed time in the beautiful holiday apartment of the Glückstein family, which, in our opinion, is perfectly equipped. The apartment is decorated with love and homely accessories, so you simply feel at home. It was also great for us that our dog was welcome. We enjoyed the beautiful pool with warm water very much and also took nice walks in the adjacent nature. Highly recommended are excursions to Bamberg, Coburg, and the beautiful animal park in Schweinfurt... all great destinations that are easily accessible by car and yet you have your peace and quiet. A special highlight for us was the live concert of the band Heimspiel, which was held on Saturday evenings in the attached Gasthaus Glückstein by our really very likeable landlords, the Glückstein family. There was something for every taste, both musically and culinarily. Ms. Glückstein even conjured up a vegan delicacy for our daughter upon request. We can definitely recommend the holiday apartment and will certainly be happy to come back.

Great holiday flat, super holiday

We were very nicely welcomed by the owners, location very quiet and beautiful. The pool was a big hit with our two grandchildren. You can spend hours in the heated pool. The food in the restaurant was not only good value for money but also delicious. The accommodation offered everything you need. We will gladly come back next year, provided the holiday flat is free again over Easter.

Everything great, super service

We have seldom felt more at home and comfortable than in this holiday flat with pool. The Glückssteins are simply great and take great care of the guests' well-being. A great, relaxing holiday for the whole family. The surrounding area is also great for walking or hiking, and in the holiday flat you can relax, swim and splash around to your heart's content. We are thrilled and will soon be coming here for the 3rd time.

Super

A beautiful holiday flat in an absolutely quiet location. The best thing is of course the heated and covered pool, so you can also enjoy a rainy day. The equipment is top, everything you need is there. If anything is missing, you can always contact the friendly Glückstein family. A snack in the hotel's own inn is also highly recommended. So best regards to the landlords and maybe it will work out and we will even be repeat offenders.

Great time out for family with children

We received a very warm welcome from the Glückstein family and were greeted in the holiday flat with fresh fruit and vegetables as well as colourful flowers. The sweet bedtime sweets also delighted our children in particular ;-)

When there was an unexpected burst water pipe in the village of Serrfeld and we suddenly found ourselves without water, our hosts were immediately on the spot and provided us with enough bottles of still water. Even if we had other concerns, they were always able to help us immediately
We, and especially our two sons, particularly liked the pool area, which was used extensively every day (especially during the rainy season)
We also recommend the sausage/cheese platter at the Glückstein family restaurant.
Unfortunately, we had a lot of rainy days and not many excursions due to Corona, but there are better times.

Nevertheless, a great holiday at a great price, which we would gladly repeat.

Great apartment!

Very friendly landlords! Beautiful pool, well-equipped kitchen, many beautiful walking trails! Internet and television in every room. Family games and a bookshelf in case the weather doesn't cooperate and the pool party is over. We can highly recommend it! We were there with 3 teenagers and the fact that the bathroom is from the 80s doesn't bother at all! Everything is well maintained and clean!

Thank you for wonderful days

We, daughter, son-in-law, grandson 17 months, my wife and I, were guests for 10 days(!!!) and were very well catered for. The heat of these days made the pool seem like a special treat. Our grandson had the most fun in the pool.
In the evenings we were spoiled with great service, a very good beer and a tasty snack in the restaurant
We enjoyed the days and can fully recommend the flat.

Great vacation with your own dream pool

This year, we (2 adults plus a child of 8 years) decided to spend our vacation in Germany, and after extensive research, we chose the "Gasthaus Glückstein" in Serrfeld, Upper Franconia. We spent just under a week in the idyllic village, and in hindsight, we can confidently say that we made the right choice! We all recovered splendidly, mainly thanks to the Glückstein family's incredibly warm hospitality from the first day (including dog Luna and turtle Kiki) ;-) The quiet location of the holiday apartment and the covered and well-tempered pool (our son spent half the vacation in it) are further reasons why we would love to return there! We were able to leave behind the hustle and bustle of the big city and the constant topic of Corona for a few days, which was really refreshing. . .

We managed well with the wheelchair during our stay. For guests with similar disabilities who may not be able to handle short inclines or a small threshold alone, I would recommend having a companion. You will receive more detailed information about the situation on site from the landlord, and I am also happy to provide advice based on my experience.

We had a very nice time with the friendly Glückstein family. The accommodation is super clean and located in a very quiet area. Beautiful surroundings, with fields starting right by the house. Many interesting excursion destinations. The saltwater pool with counter-current system and the heat cabin were absolutely great! We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again. Holiday from the first second upon arrival. Thank you for that.
We were received very kindly by the landlords and were shown the apartment, the pool, etc. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need. Fresh flowers and more surprised us on top, and we felt right at home after unpacking our suitcase. Even our dog felt immediately comfortable (she still dreams of frolicking with Luna). You can directly go hiking from the accommodation to great castles and palaces or simply enjoy the beauty of nature. The village itself is small and quiet, but the people there are hospitable. And if you feel like experiencing more hustle and bustle, larger towns like Bamberg, Coburg, Schweinfurt, and others are easily accessible. As we said when we left - we will definitely come back, no question, because a well-kept gem like Glückstein is simply a dream for vacationers.

Very nice landlords, great pool

Get up in the morning and go straight into the pool with counter-current system - that's what this holiday home offers. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. The 2 bedrooms and the large kitchen/living room provide plenty of places to retreat. The quiet location on the outskirts of the village is particularly noteworthy. The price was also convincing. The flat is in a rural location, but you can get to larger towns quickly by car. Many castles and palaces invite you to visit.

Absolutely content

Very friendly landlords, great holiday apartment in a quiet, rural location. We stayed there with our 9-year-old granddaughter and were able to do a lot in the surrounding area. Holidays with family

We spent a week with our son's family in the holiday apartment of the Glückstein family. Upon our arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome and the small attentions in the rooms. Of course, the best part was the pool, especially for our grandson. Everything was clean and well-equipped. It would be nice to have a separate bedroom since we had to move our beds every morning. However, this did not diminish our relaxation. Highly recommended are the snack plates and especially the homemade cakes in the associated restaurant. The senior chef even served us a fresh salad from their own garden. We can therefore recommend the holiday apartment with a clear conscience.

Relaxation in the countryside

Stressed from everyday life, you can find peace here especially. The vacation home offers everything necessary for relaxation, especially the pool. The rural tranquility adds to this. The host family is very friendly and accommodating. Having a cup of coffee or a delicious ice cream sundae in their own pub makes for pleasant conversations.

Holiday stay in Lower Franconia

A perfectly furnished holiday apartment with a fruit basket, seasonal vegetables, and essential kitchen utensils such as salt, sugar, oil, etc., and with its own pool in front of the bedroom. It's wonderful to be able to take a swim after breakfast. The Glückstein family is very helpful and friendly. The connection to the restaurant is also highly recommended. There are plenty of destinations in the area for hiking, cycling (mountain bikes are recommended), or strolling around. We can only recommend the apartment and hope to spend another holiday there.

FerienwohnungGlückstein

Upon arrival, we were greeted very warmly, just like by super nice friends. From the first to the last minute, we felt very comfortable. Nothing was missing, there were more than enough towels, a great room to dry bathing suits, and everything you need in the kitchen. Thank you for the little attentions, which we have not found in any other vacation apartment. Everything was very, very clean. The pool - simply great. Our two grandchildren also loved it. We had peace and relaxation, occasionally chatting with the Glückstein family, which always ended in laughter. It's a shame we couldn't have breakfast outdoors, but we knew that beforehand, if there was space for it, the Glückstein family would surely have arranged it. But the cool pool is much better than breakfast in the garden. This vacation was simply beautiful. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Our little, nervous furball didn't bother anyone either. This vacation rental is highly recommended! ! ! ! ! ! !

Wonderful holiday apartment with its own POOL. The apartment has everything you need for your vacation. With the pool, you are not dependent on the weather. Extremely friendly and always very helpful landlords, who go far beyond the usual measures.

Holiday apartment Glückstein

Very well equipped for self-catering, with plenty of dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils, including a toaster, oven, and dishwasher. Taste in (furniture, tiles, pictures, etc.) is subjective - not our preference, but everything is functional and clean. The pool is cool, perfect for relaxing, a little oasis when the weather is warmer (unfortunately we didn't have warm weather during our stay :-(). The service is great, beer delicious, landlord super friendly, accommodating, humorous, helpful. Because there was an event in the inn on Saturday, we enjoyed a delicious meal. In Seerfeld, it's quiet, perfect for those seeking tranquility. Shopping only accessible by car. Ideal starting point for cultural visits (Coburg, Bamberg, etc.) and hikes.

The Lower Franconian Caribbean.

This vacation was a sensation for us! Where can you find a holiday apartment with your own swimming pool? In all of Germany, we – an older couple – have only experienced such a wonderful facility with the Glückstein family. Furthermore, our nervous dog did not bother the loving hosts. The apartment was fully furnished and, above all, clean. Wishes were immediately fulfilled, and special requests took only a few minutes longer. All summarized: It was a very beautiful week and we felt very comfortable. We fondly remember the wonderful time and can hardly wait for our next vacation.

It was a very nice vacation with the family. We had very nice weather and were received very warmly. The Glückstein family is very nice and hospitable. We were also very satisfied with the holiday apartment. The food we received at the inn was very delicious, it was something completely different. It was a snack with local food from the region. The children liked the pool. They could always go in whenever we were there. It was covered so they could go in at any time. Even in the evenings, because the pool had lighting. They had a lot of fun. Our youngest couldn't be dragged out of the pool, the temperature of the pool was very pleasant. The location is quiet, you can go for nice walks or hikes. There is a lake nearby. We would book there again, we really liked it.

The pool is the highlight.

We were there over the Pentecost weekend. The vacation rental was very clean and everything we needed was available. The location is very remote, but perfect for families with children who enjoy nature. A beautiful area for relaxing and hiking. Unfortunately, we didn't have nice weather and had to explore the surrounding area by car. The absolute highlight, however, was the pool!!! Swimming at any time in super warm water, regardless of the weather. On the first day, we were even able to leave the windows slightly open and enjoy the sun. A very nice family-run business. I had hoped that hot food would also be offered (only available during the fair). For the next visit, I will just send my half-board requests ahead of time :-) The apartment is only connected to the pool room outside, but can be well ventilated through the bathroom window and the bedroom (balcony door). Cleanliness is a top priority for us in a vacation rental, and the Glückstein family scores full marks. And having a pool as a highlight is not something you come across often. Thank you very much.

Sehr angenehm

We met very nice people / hosts! We took part in traditions (Maypole / 1st of May). The residents of Serrfeld / Sulzdorf and the surrounding area are hospitable and nice. In the area, we visited Coburg / Bamberg / Würzburg / Vierzehnheiligenbasilica / Kloster Banz and Kaisersberg in Bavaria. All highly recommended. We were lucky with the weather.
One drawback: the rooms (living room/bedroom) have no contact with the outside.

Unfortunately, we were not able to go on our holiday in March 2016 due to health reasons, therefore we cannot provide a complete review of the facilities and location. We found the value for money to be good. The information we received from Mr. Glückstein over the phone was very helpful. There was also a detailed description provided over the phone and internet. for a break from the daily routine

Very nice and spacious apartment, everything available, the pool is great, water temperature between 28 and 30 degrees. The location is very quiet, geese, turkeys, and llamas in the fields nearby, very beautiful. Exceptionally warm and accommodating hosts, a family atmosphere, gladly again.

A reliable holiday in a family atmosphere.

As always expected from the Glückstein family, the welcome is warm and familial. Here in Serrfeld, you definitely have the opportunity to leave the daily routine behind. Even my granddaughter made friends here, and the pool is the biggest and most relaxing experience. You can step directly from the bedroom into the pool, with a pleasant water temperature of 28-30°C. No one can see you, and no one minds. It can be used at any time of the day or night ;)
