Holiday home in the mountains northwest of Nice, in a very beautiful area. The house is divided into two sections, one is the original house with two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, toilet and living room, the other is an outbuilding with four beds and a private bathroom, suitable for eg two families/groups together on holiday.
The nearest villages are Seillans, Fayence, Claviers and Callas - and the Côte d'Azur is 45 minutes away by car. In the opposite direction is the mountain region with Les Gorges du Verdon, a wild canyon landscape of exceptional beauty.

Location and surroundings of object
Our house is located on the edge of the village. It is surrounded by a large garden with olive trees, secluded from view. In front of the house there is a large private pool, and next to the pool a sunny terrace. Bargemon is a picturesque village in the Var, in the mountains northwest of Nice. The village is situated high up, with remains of an old fortification, and with a gate from the 9th century.

Real France in Provence - And only 40 minutes to the Mediterranean!
Very friendly and reliable landlords, but somewhat reserved in communication when it comes to feedback. Nevertheless: absolutely trustworthy!
We were initially skeptical since the full payment was to be made in advance (instead of a deposit + the remainder on-site). Since we had bad experiences before, we requested a €1 test transfer with a code word. This was immediately accepted and executed correctly, thus gaining trust!
The pool positively surprised us! Ideal for toddlers at the edge (only under supervision!), perfect also for dogs with water phobia, and at the same time deep enough (over 2 m) for diving and jumping in. Our children had a lot of fun, and the dog felt comfortable as well.
The location is dreamy: in the nature of Provence, but not too far from life. Bargemon itself seems tranquil, but has a market, events, and very helpful residents. The Mediterranean (Fréjus) can be reached in about. 40 minutes, the Calanques near Cassis are absolutely worth seeing!
Important to know:
Here you are in the middle of the mountains, animal visits in the evening or at night are therefore normal.
One should be able to handle it.
Tips we wish we had beforehand:
- Vehicle wildlife/rodent protection (marten spray, grids, motion detectors)
- Instructions for pool maintenance (Only use a net - otherwise the pool master will be upset!)
- Document with shopping options/recommendations
- Fly swatters + spray (biting flies/horseflies!) )
Conclusion: A great stay in a beautiful setting, with a special pool and very trustworthy hosts. Recommended!
