Crikvenica is one of the oldest resorts on the Mediterranean and a famous health resort, which is attracted by its mild climate and lush evergreen vegetation. Summer is the season in which Crikvenica lives most intensely. Beautiful sand and pebble beaches offer beautiful bathing pleasure in the clean sea and the Mediterranean vegetation makes during the long hours of sunshine for plenty of shade. Seaside walks and mountain climbing in the area, various sports on water and on land, fishing festivals and masked balls, dancing and entertainment on hotel terraces and night clubs, classical music concerts and art exhibitions, gastronomic specialties, excursions by boat or bus, hunting and fishing - every guest gets their money! You can also visit the oldest hotel in town, the 1895 hotel Therapia. The name Crikvenica comes from the Croatian word for church ( "Crkva") and refers to the Church of the Pauline monastery, recently converted also to a hotel. Crikvenica is also attractive in winter, particularly owing to the sumptuous Carnival celebrations in January and February. In the town area there are several smaller places; particularly noteworthy is the village Grižane, in the end of the fifteenth century, the painter Juraj Julije Klović was born. During the Renaissance, it was considered as "Michelangelo of miniature".

Crikvenica is only 20 km from the airport on the island of Krk and 180 km from the airport in Zagreb. The vicinity of major motorways, the location is easily accessible, also for motorists from all over Europe.
The child-friendly beach is located on the opposite side of the street.

All round recommendable
The holiday with a large group of students at Villa Marica was to our complete satisfaction. The rooms were as described and the service was impeccable. The proximity to the beach is ideal and we all had a week full of fun and adventure.

Always a pleasure, house right by the sea with great hosts.
We were a group of 20 people and had the whole house to ourselves. Our 11 people with disabilities were warmly welcomed and always welcome to chat. Even if the description does not say handicapped accessible, it is still easy to live in for people with some walking ability. The house owner and her husband lived with us. She was always a great help, super friendly and very attentive. She also cooked delicious meals for us and was always there for us with help and advice. Whether it was laundry, air mattresses or bathing shoes, there was a quick solution for everything. The rooms are large and bright and almost every room has a sea view. The terrace and the lounge invite you to stay a long time in the evenings. We can only say thank you and are already looking forward to our next stay.
