Description
You enter the Bamboo House through a bright conservatory. Here you can also enjoy the garden on rainy and windy days. From there, you enter the large living-dining-kitchen area. There is also a daylight bathroom with a shower on the ground floor.
A spiral staircase leads you to the first floor to the bedrooms with wooden parquet flooring. The room facing north has a double bed (1.4m x 1.90m). The south-facing room is equipped with a double and a single bed (1.4m x 1.9m and 0.9m x 1.9m).

Location and surroundings of object
On our holiday farm "La Vicomterie", over 200 years old, a stone house in the typical style of the Cotentin peninsula of 30 m in length with 10 000 sqm, the guest finds (pur) peace and enough space to relax and the kids to play!
The holiday farm is located about 12 km from the sea removed: swimming, sailing, surfing - sandy beaches, as far as the eye can see!
There is much to discover and to look at on the peninsula in addition to the well-known "Mont St Michel": Channel Islands (Granville), the invasion beaches (about 1 to 2 hours away) and many monasteries and ancient cities. There is a market in the region, to fresh food to buy, well-developed hiking and cycle track (although it is somewhat hilly) every day.

The Cotentin peninsula is the westernmost part of Normandy and adjacent to the Brittany (we are about 50 miles north of the famous " station).It is a country in the sea with wide sandy beaches, dunes and rugged cliffs. The peninsula is green all seasons of the year, crossed by hedges, has centuries-old villages, abbeys and castles (the "Abbeye d 'Hambye" - a Benedictine Abbey - located in our vicinity).
The Cotentin is the land of Camembert, of cider and of Calvados - a region of many traditions, without mass tourism - a hospitable country!
We, a German couple who also live in the farm and are happy with your vacation questions available (even at the nightly Campfire) - you like to welcome our two donkeys

additional information about rental price:
| You are welcome to bring bed linen and towels (also dish towels). We are also happy to provide you with bed linen (10€) and towels (5€) made of certified organic cotton per person. For rentals of 14 days or more, bed linen and towels are free of charge. The cost of the final cleaning is 60€. The local tourism authority obliges us to pay 0,50€ per person and night. Cancellation terms:
Free cancellation possible up to 90 days before the arrival date.
Up to 30 days before arrival, the deposit of 30% of the rent will be retained. If you cancel 29 days before your stay or later, we will only refund the fees for final cleaning, bed linen and towels, the tourist tax, and the deposit.

After ten years in Africa, chance put us in touch with the La Vicomterie holiday farm. in 2016, we took over the farm and renovated it according to ecological principles. Since 2022, the holiday farm has been awarded the ecological label La Clef Verte or Green Key.
