Bautzen is about 5 km away. The beautifully restored old town is particularly worth seeing. Bautzen is also called the "Nuremberg" of the East or the "city of red roofs". A visit around Easter time is especially recommended. An old custom of the "Sorbs" is to paint Easter eggs beautifully and to watch the procession of Easter riders on Easter Monday. Excursions into the surrounding area are also worthwhile. The house is in a rural location in the Großwelka district of the municipality of Bautzen. The village centre of Großwelka/Kleinwelka is about 500 m away. There you will find a bank, a doctor, a post office, a discount grocery shop and a drugstore. Everything is within walking distance. A paved hiking/biking trail starts right in front of the holiday home.
A special highlight is the dinosaur park in Kleinwelka. It is divided into the maze, the dinosaur park and the miniature park.

Perfect vacation
We booked this vacation apartment at short notice and were thrilled. The equipment is more than sufficient. You can find everything you need and immediately feel at home. The furniture is all in very good condition and it is clean.
We were particularly excited to have a whole house and a garage.
The location is perfect for families with dogs, like us. The property is completely fenced in, so our dog could lie outside on his own without worrying that he would run away.
There are many opportunities for walks. If you follow the path behind the house, you will reach the next village with a bakery. Penny (supermarket) is only 5 minutes by car and 15 minutes on foot. The dinosaur park and the labyrinth can also be reached on foot. The beautiful city of Bautzen is only 10 minutes away by car.
We were thrilled and would love to come back.
