On 545m2 plus parking space, a beautiful, very well-kept holiday home awaits you at the edge of the forest (roof-only house construction). 2 floors, + cellar, gas heating and electric boiler, washing machine, Sat TV. Ground floor: Dining-living room, kitchen, hall, shower/WC, terrace, first floor: Two bedrooms for 1X 2 and 1X 3 persons. The property offers a lot of playground and sunbathing lawn.

Our holiday home is idyllically situated in the heart of Bavaria! The entire Kratzmühle leisure centre is surrounded by relaxing, restful nature and far away from the stress of everyday life. Experience unforgettable and relaxing moments here in the Altmühltal Nature Park
Close to our house you will impressively enjoy the unique landscape of the Altmühltal. It is like a big adventure playground for young and old - with wonderful nature experiences that lead into a world of river, rocks and primeval history. The nature park offers you numerous family-friendly cycling and hiking trails for this purpose, as well as ideal conditions for climbing and boating tours, boat trips on the Main-Danube Canal, or the trip ( km away) to the much-visited Dinopark in Denkendorf. A beautiful bathing lake belongs to the Kratzmühle holiday centre and is only a few minutes' walk from our site. Around 2 km of shoreline there invite you to sunbathe, swim and row. The recreation area is complemented by a miniature golf course, the "anno dazumal" technology museum, an idyllically situated lake restaurant and the rustic inn.
History:
in 1888, the Prinstner brewery from Beilngries bought the mill and from 1896 also used it as a hydroelectric power station to generate electricity. in 1927, in the course of regulating the Altmühl, today's Altmühl weir was built; the turbine that has been running since 1928 is still in use today. In 1966, the Kratzmühle holiday village was built, the lake was turned into a bathing lake and a holiday home settlement was built on the forest slope. Among other things, the former mill complex houses a technology museum on an area of 1300 square metres, supported by the Beilngries-Kinding Cultural History Association

More than just satisfied!!!
From arrival to departure, everything was perfectly successful! The parking lot right in front of the door. Everything in the apartment was fine and clean! Upon arrival, we received tips for excursions and culinary highlights. Bicycles parked directly under the house with charging options! Simply very successful!

Short break with the family.
We spent the long weekend in the beautiful attic cottage located at the edge of the forest with our 5-year-old twins. The nearby lake invites you to swim and linger. The house is clean and well-maintained, the landlords very welcoming. We will definitely come back.

Holidays in the Altmühltal
We were guests in Haus Claudia of the Russer family in August 2021 with our children (9 and 13 years old). We felt very comfortable right away, the house is clean and the bathroom was renovated this year. The nearby bathing lake is within walking distance. In Beilngries, just a few kilometres away, you can find everything your heart desires, from a bookshop, bike rental, ice cream parlour to the usual supermarkets. We also went on a canoe trip on the Altmühl. The landlords are very helpful and were easy to contact if we had any questions. You can't drive right up to the front door, as the last 50 metres or so lead along a narrow path to the holiday home. But you don't see or hear any cars. We can recommend this holiday home without reservation and would be happy to come back.

Great accommodation
We liked the accommodation very much and the contact with Fam. Russer was pleasant and impeccable.
As an angler, I was thrilled with the RMD canal and the available barbecue + fuel was a great service
great service. The sun loungers are also excellent. The equipment is basically very good.
It would have been nice if the upper windows had been fitted with fly netting and there had been an additional small lamp in the living area for reading.
Nevertheless, Haus Claudia is a recommendable accommodation from our point of view.

Nice vacation in the Altmühltal
The holiday home is located idyllically in a holiday village. From there, trips to the nearby or more distant surroundings are possible: boats can be rented directly at the entrance to the holiday village. Hiking trails are also available for cycling and walking. Castles, the largest wooden bridge in Europe, Neanderthal caves, etc. are also not far away. Regensburg with its old town, Ingolstadt with the current LaGa (horticultural show), Kelheim with the Befreiungshalle (freedom hall, beautifully illuminated at dusk) are also not far away.
The holiday home is comfortably furnished: inside: new furniture such as a sofa, dining table, television; sleeping is upstairs, outside: a large balcony, partially covered with a large table and chairs and a barbecue, an even larger garden area, each with a fantastic view of the valley.
small advantage/disadvantage: mobile phone reception is somewhat limited.
