Location and surroundings of object
After careful renovation, a detached hayloft became a holiday home for 2-3 people. In the choice of building materials, great importance was attached to traditional, local construction methods. The result: a rustico that in its simplicity is reminiscent of the original rural life and where building and nature are in harmony with each other.
In front of the house is a shaded terrace that invites you to stay all day. From here you can reach the living room, the kitchen and the bathroom at ground level. An open staircase leads to the bedroom above with good beds. A fireplace can be lit for cosiness and warmth. The house is fully equipped (without TV). La Prediera is a charmingly situated property below the medieval village of Chiusdino (15 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive), 35 km from Siena and 35 km from Massa Marittima.
Dreamy and unique, far from industry and traffic, it is situated on a hill among centuries-old oaks, cypresses, olives.
The old house structures have been carefully restored by the artist couple Rembold, who strive to preserve the versatility of a small structure. This includes, of course, cutting olives every spring, making hay in summer and harvesting olives in autumn.
Prediera is a place of tranquillity. You can still meet the oriole, the hoopoe, the nightingale, the long-eared owl, fireflies, small bats and many things that have long been missing elsewhere.
Every season has its charm and its speciality here.
In May/June you can photograph several species of orchids and breathe in the scent of broom, wisteria and lavender.
The hot summer gives the opportunity for a refreshing swim in the river Merse, 3 km away, and a concert of cicadas during the siesta.
In autumn, the hills turn all colours and the valley is immersed in a sea of mist in the morning, from which the village and Prediera magically rise like an island.
A still intact nature finds its lovers here.
In the village you will find all shops, petrol station, bank, post office, pharmacy, medical care, two cafes, two osterias and a ristorante. The market on Thursdays offers the best fruit and vegetables.

A proposal outside the norm for holiday home rentals! This is how a holiday should be! In this dream landscape, without stress, at the pace set by nature! We felt very comfortable, cycled and hiked, lazed around and it was certainly not the last time we were there
