It doesn't get any better than this!!!

2 couples, 3 weeks in paradise.
We were without a car or scooter, yet everything was very pleasant.
Right next to the property is the Thai House, where we had breakfast every morning.
For two, total costs between 300-400 Baht.
diagonally across from the property was the restaurant Cafe 101, where we had dinner very, very often. For two, approximately 600-800 Baht including drinks and appetizers. Always tasted excellent and, above all, good portions. HIGHLY recommended! Is operated by a Swiss man and his wife. The restaurant is solely their thing, he said :-)
We received a layout map of restaurants and shopping options around the facility from the Kummer family in advance. This was very helpful.
Everything that the previous reviews mentioned positively, I can fully endorse.
The two small supermarkets only have the essentials, but that’s enough.
Above all, they are not more expensive than a large supermarket in Hua Hin. Beer, water, toiletries, etc... everything is available.
But having a 7-Eleven nearby wouldn't have been bad either; it will definitely come in the next few years.
Since we didn't have a vehicle, we often took taxis.
You have to budget between 300-400 Baht for a ride to Hua Hin. With a bit of haggling, you can get a better deal. In the first few days, we had a driver who asked for 200 Baht. The older gentleman was extremely friendly and "kind." We always called this company. In the last few days, however, it often said no taxis available. Whether the routes were too short, unprofitable, no idea.
The mentioned Soi Noi Beach, so-called insider tip, is really recommendable. Few tourists, and reachable on foot in about 15-20 minutes.
Hua Hin Beach is no longer what it used to be. We were noticeably disappointed.
I felt like I was in Mallorca.
Too bad the line count is up. Book this resort if you want to experience a dream vacation.

Dreamlike

We two couples-in-law spent three weeks in March-2023 at this gorgeous property Turtle Village Villa-1 in Khao Tao with paradisiacal gardens and large pool.

The gorgeous garden was kept in top condition daily by a team of gardeners.
The well-maintained and superbly equipped villa, far away from mass tourism, with a spacious terrace invites you to enjoy.

We ended the day every evening on the terrace, in a nocturnal ambience, with fresh, home-mixed natural fruit juices.

The housekeeper Mrs Lee is a friendly, pleasant but also discreetly reserved person. She had cleaned the house daily, made beds, washed breakfast dishes and thus completed our stay.

Shopping facilities as well as restaurants are within walking distance.
Food Thai market with great fruits, fish... is every Wed and Sun from 16:00 in about 20 minutes walking distance.

The beautiful small Sai Noi sandy beach, a bathing bay with large rocks for relaxing, swimming and a quiet ambience with Thai food and cold drinks is also about 20 minutes away on foot. On the beach there are shady deckchair seats with tables for 30 baht (about €1) a day.

Special praise and thanks for her personal commitment go to the owner Mrs. Kummer. She took care of us lovingly, already in advance, and during the whole time.

We can only recommend this great accommodation.
The stay was heavenly and we felt very comfortable and plan to come again.

On arrival we were immediately.

On arrival we were greeted by the friendly housekeeper. The house is very large and equipped with everything you need. The grounds are kept in top condition daily by a team of gardeners. The very large pool needs a few small things done. The plastic grids and tiles at and in the pool should be renewed. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Paradise

Great complex in a great location. A paradisiacal garden with pool. The right place for those seeking peace and quiet. Shopping facilities and restaurants nearby. 5 minutes by scooter to the sea.

Wonderful house in a great location

We spent this summer with our children (12 and 8 years) in the beautiful Villa 1 in Turtle Village, Koh Tao. The house is very well equipped, the garden is fantastic and you can enjoy it on the very spacious terrace. The pool was perfect for the kids and also great for us to swim a few lengths. Located in a small village with great infrastructure (typical Thai cookshops + good restaurant with European cuisine, Thai market twice a week), wonderful beaches and if you are looking for hustle and bustle you can be in HuaHin in 20 minutes. We can only recommend the house, the location and the great landlady Mrs. Kummer, who is always available for questions and tips. We will definitely be back.

A little paradise

My son and I spent 2 weeks in Turtle Village in November 2018. We were thrilled, it really is as beautiful as described on the websites. The house is large, very clean and tastefully decorated. The garden is huge, with lots of palm trees and frangipani trees. The pool is big enough to swim in and always very clean. All in all, a real idyll to relax in. We can only agree with the other detailed reviews ! And in case of questions in advance or problems on site, the landlady Mrs. Kummer is very helpful and very quickly reachable.
If you want to get to the sea quickly, there are two beaches within a 5-minute drive. We liked the very beautiful, quiet Soi Noi Beach in a small bay best. (Pictures under this name can also be found on the internet). The lively Hua Hin with its countless restaurants and shopping malls is about 10 minutes away by car. However, you can also find a few tasty restaurants and typical cookshops in Kao Thao
All of these places can be reached by taxi. However, if you want to make excursions into the surrounding area, e.g. to the nearby national parks, it is advantageous to have a rental car. Alternatively, a German tour operator offers a variety of tours in Hua Hin....

An oasis of calm

I have already had the great pleasure of spending my holiday in Villa 1 in Turtle Village 3 times with my boyfriend. I was happy to book Villa 1 again.
The complex is unique by Thai standards, where the houses are always built so close together to save space. This resort is exactly the taste of Europeans: spacious, exotic and the villas stand on their own as if in a park.
I particularly like the combination of the adventure world in Hua Hin, where more and more shopping malls have sprung up, and the absolute tranquillity you experience when you return to the resort from Hua Hin, usually in the evening. Simply wonderful, you are immersed in an exotic dream.
The support from the landlady is also great. Lots of information in advance, super transfer organisation and always helpful if questions arise. The staff at the resort are warm and friendly without being annoying.
Even in Kao Tao, there are new things to discover every time I visit, more and more restaurants and shopping opportunities have sprung up.
For me, the top accommodation in Hua Hin and the surrounding area.
Villa 1 is built according to a well thought-out concept : a huge living - and dining room but two separate bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms and toilets. Ideal for a family with children or two couples. I will book again!

Ideal holiday villa



During my Thailand tour, after extensive research, I had found Villa 1 in the Turtle Village resort in Hua Hin.

The landlady was able to give me extensive information about the villa and its location and surroundings, so I decided to stay in Villa 1.

And it was the right decision. It is rare to find such a well-kept and quiet complex and such a generously built villa.

I felt very comfortable and especially after an exciting day in lively Hua Hin, I found the perfect relaxation in Villa 1.

The maid who looks after the villa was very friendly and helpful, the gardeners kept the great grounds in a 1 a condition.

All around a successful stay - I can only recommend Villa 1!

Charming holiday home with beautiful garden!

It was our first time in this beautiful villa (Villa 1) and we booked it for 3 months - it was a great decision.
From the villa it takes 20 minutes by car to get to the city, and
15 minutes on foot to the beautiful Soi Noi beach
The location is perfect for those who want to enjoy the peace and quiet.
However, it is an advantage to have a rental car to get into town.
The garden is large and beautifully decorated with various plants.
The large pool is perfect for cooling off and is also very clean.
The staff at the complex, especially the housekeeper Lee, is very friendly and helpful.
The landlady Mrs Kummer and her husband are also very accommodating and would be available by phone if there were any problems.
The villa is incredibly clean!
I am in a wheelchair and was able to move around the complex without any problems. As it is not easy to find wheelchair accessible accommodation in Thailand, I was pleasantly surprised.
We will definitely holiday in this great villa again and are very happy to have found this beautiful place!

Pure tranquillity and deceleration!

We (2 adults, one 4 year old) spent a good two weeks in Villa 1 in March 2014.
The accommodation is beautiful, the property very well maintained. The pool is as beautiful as it looks in the photos (children should ideally already be able to swim).
For breakfast, we catered for ourselves in the surrounding supermarkets or street food stalls, and in the evening we went out for dinner. From our point of view, a family with a small child needs a rental car for both. The distances are not too far, but they should not be underestimated either. Various beautiful beaches (and other excursion destinations) are then also easy to reach (we especially liked the military beach towards Hua Hin). The only small drawback for us was that after sunset there was not really much choice of open cookshops or restaurants in the vicinity, so a car was indispensable to be flexible.

The area around the resort is pleasantly not very touristy. If you like more hustle and bustle, you will find it in Hua Hin, about 20 minutes away by car.

We had one of the most relaxing holidays ever at Turtle Village and the friendly support of the landlady in organising everything beforehand deserves special mention. We had chosen this accommodation with only a week's notice and were happy and grateful for contacts regarding car rental, the organisation of the driver for the transfer from the airport as well as some excursion tips.

The whole package is just right: Lots of privacy, the friendly housekeeper keeps everything clean, feeling of security by security guard and the nice gardeners (who are also happy to help with coconut harvesting and opening). Those who appreciate an individual daily routine outside of hotel routines and still don't want to do without certain amenities (e.g. don't want to clean or cook) are in exactly the right place here. Likewise, those who are looking for peace and quiet without an ambitious entertainment programme will find here a top accommodation with a top price-performance ratio.

Beautiful vacation days in the Turtle Village

We have already been able to enjoy my vacation in Turtle Village three times so far. From the pick-up service from the airport, the wonderfully green facility, and the friendly service on-site, it has always been very relaxing vacation days! The commitment of the landlady was always something very special for every vacation. We definitely plan to come back.

Great vacation

The vacation started great with the airport pick-up service, the nice housekeeper, gardener, and guard. As a family, we have already traveled far. Our memories of Thailand at Turtle Village in Villa 1 are completely positive. The house is great, the facility well-maintained, far away from mass tourism. The owner took care of us lovingly even before our arrival. Currently, we are once again in the process of reserving for 2 weeks. Hopefully, it will work out.
