Beautifully situated and decorated

The holiday home immediately gave us the feeling of being on vacation. The lady of the house has a talent for decoration. Accordingly, everything was furnished very lovingly. The enclosed property is very nice, where one can also let the dogs run freely and still be undisturbed. Mr. Tarnarwski speaks German very well and can help with any questions. It is important to know that there is no German television. We were not bothered by it, we were on vacation and had enough books with us. We were sad when the time was up and we would love to come back.

A beautiful fisherman's house with a lot of charm. Everything clean and quaintly cozy. Great location if you are looking for peace, relaxation, and nature. Here we experienced Polish hospitality live. The weather was great. Can recommend this accommodation and the owner with a clear conscience.

Fisher's house by Andrzej Tanarwski in Kalmar.

The fisherman's house is very well-maintained and tastefully furnished. You immediately feel comfortable. The friendly Mr. Tarnawski lives on the neighboring property and is therefore easily accessible for any questions or problems. The house has a beautiful small garden, which is separated from the other properties by hedges. In good weather, you can enjoy your meals there, read, and relax. A boat is available. From Kahl, you can explore the beautiful Masurian landscape by bike, boat, or car.

A wonderful vacation in Masuria ...

We have peace here, we can enjoy almost untouched nature and canoes. We paddled with the kayak on clear lakes and waterways and cycled through small villages and gently undulating landscape, where you believe time has stood still. Cornflowers and poppies adorn the fields, clapping storks, but also Baroque pilgrimage churches and brick-built Teutonic Knights castles are waiting to be admired. It is a beautiful place, and we felt very comfortable in the old little fisherman's cottage. Mr. Tarnawski takes care of his guests with love. We didn't miss anything and were completely satisfied. Actually, the time was much too short to explore the "great wilderness." Thanks again to Mr. Tarnawski for his friendly care.

Rustic holiday home in picturesque location

we felt comfortable from the beginning. . . the house is even more beautiful than in the pictures. However, the radio was missing. Otherwise, everything you need is there. Wi-Fi is excellent. You can also barbecue in the garden if you wish. Accessories are available. The beds are good for sleeping, but it gets quite hot under the roof. Unfortunately, there were no fly screens anywhere, so flies were everywhere in the house. The host is very welcoming and can speak German very well. We had a lot of fun with Andrzej. The location is also wonderful for excursions, such as the Wolf's Lair, the bison reserve (which was unfortunately closed due to swine fever). Otherwise, there is pure nature here...many lakes for swimming, beautiful forests. The nearby town is very tranquil, and you can buy everything there to provide for yourself. On the other side of the lake, we found a restaurant that we visited every evening. Really great! All in all, it's just beautiful here and we can really only recommend it.

House for nature lovers

The house scores points with its great location by the lake, the beautiful garden, and the loving furnishings. Boats and a grill are included, as well as garden furniture, a terrace, and an open fireplace for cool days. Very good starting point for bike tours, boat trips, and excursions. Cosy holiday home in a quiet location

The Fischerhaus is a very beautiful holiday home in a quiet location. It is located a few metres from Lake Schwenzait and has its own small beach with boat mooring. The house also has a small front garden and a large, well-maintained garden with a beautiful terrace and sun loungers. There is also a large barbecue on the terrace for cosy barbecue evenings. The cosily furnished living, dining and kitchen area on the ground floor of the house has everything your heart desires. The kitchen is fully equipped and lacks nothing. For chilly evenings, there is also a fireplace and plenty of wood. The bathroom is large and modern. In the attic of the house there are two spacious bedrooms with three beds each and enough storage space for clothes. All rooms are lovingly furnished in great detail and exude a wonderful feel-good atmosphere. The landlord, Andrzej Tarnawski, is approachable and available at all times. He takes time for his guests and always has a few worthwhile excursion and restaurant recommendations ready. In addition, he offers great boat tours with his motorboat on the surrounding lakes, which you really shouldn't miss. Visitors can also rent a canoe and a rowing boat. If that is not enough, Mr Tarnawski can also organise a canoe tour in the surrounding area. Not far from the holiday home is the village shop of the municipality of Kal, where you can buy groceries from morning to night. During the summer months, they also bake delicious pizzas and sell homemade pierogi. The shop also offers bicycle rental. All in all, there is nothing lacking in Mr Tarnawski's fisherman's house and there is hardly a better place for a relaxed and cosy holiday in Masuria. We will definitely be back.

Fishing house with rural charm

Very nice, well-equipped holiday house with its own garden, small beach, and rowing boat. The friendly landlord speaks good German and can provide many useful excursion tips and information about the country and its people. A guided boat tour with him is highly recommended.

Charming little fisherman's house

The small fisherman's house is beautiful and very lovingly furnished. It has a very beautiful garden and is located directly on the lake. Mr. Tarnawski, as the landlord, was always available for us and very friendly and helpful. It was very warm, so we "unfortunately" did not use the fireplace. But I would have liked to try it :-) Inside the house it was pleasantly cool despite the great heat. We looked around a lot and were thrilled all around by the surroundings, really a beautiful spot. We had a very relaxing holiday, thank you very much for that.

Holiday in paradise

Very nice house and very nice and helpful landlord. The location on the Kal peninsula is unique. It is very beautiful on site, but the starting point is also ideal for excursions. The lake landscape, the storks and the rich nature are a wonderful backdrop for a relaxing holiday.

Relaxing holiday

We stayed in this house for 2 weeks with 5 people, 3 adults and 2 children (10 and 5). It combines a rustic, cosy construction with modern furnishings, which we liked very much. A small enclosed garden and a terrace with seating are part of the house, as well as rowing and canoeing boats. We felt very comfortable, which was also thanks to the landlord with his cordial manner and his support in organisational matters, such as a paddle tour. We would come again at any time.

Defects in the fisherman's house

Beautiful old fisherman's house in a prime location, Mr. Tarnawski was friendly and helpful. The living room and kitchen could only be heated by the fireplace. It was cold again in the morning. The 2 electric radiators, which we were not allowed to use due to high power consumption, were also too small for the rooms. The seating in the living room was heavily worn, refurbishment or replacement would be appropriate (causing back pain). The gas grill on the terrace is affected by wind and ... Exposed to the weather, his condition was accordingly, in addition, the gas bottle was empty. The terrace could not be used in rain (no covering or umbrella) and there was no lighting in the evening. TV only receives Polish channels. Due to these shortcomings, the price of €90 per night seems unreasonably high to us.

Sehr erholsamer Urlaub in einem schönen Ferienhaus

We spent two very relaxing weeks at the fisherman's house with 5 people and a dog. Mr. Tarnawski was always very friendly and helpful, and reachable at all times.
Everything necessary was available in the holiday home. The house is lovingly and functionally furnished. On cold evenings, the open fireplace provided cozy warmth. A small shop (Sklep) for everyday shopping and a restaurant are within walking distance in a few minutes. All in all, it was a very nice vacation.

Experience + relaxation = vacation

Holiday just as we wished for. Everything was perfect here. From the first contact until departure, everything was spot on. Mr. Tarnawski is a very friendly host who was always ready to help when needed.
The house and its property were ideal for the 4 of us. On very hot days, it was pleasantly refreshing inside the house, and on cooler days, the open fireplace provided a cozy warmth. Wood is provided. Around the two adjacent lakes, there is much to see and experience that our 13-day vacation was just enough to visit most of the highlights and also not skimp on relaxation.

A wonderful vacation on the island of KAL in Masuria

My wife, my sister, her husband, and I were in the holiday home at the beginning of June for one week (much too short). We can confirm the reports written about this house! Masuria is surrounded by a beautiful nature with wildlife that is no longer experienced in Germany. Particularly noteworthy is the cleanliness, even at the motorway rest areas, and the friendliness of the Polish population. Special thanks to our host, who is always available for his guests and very helpful, he speaks German very well. The Polish cuisine is worth mentioning, we ate at different places every day and it always tasted very good. I had to take my car to a workshop, Mr. Tarnawski drove with me and arranged everything. I dropped off the car at 5:00 pm and the next morning around 8:00 am, I received a call that it was ready for pick-up. €120 for wheel bearings (Audi), impossible in Germany. Due to our experiences from our stay on the island of KAL, we have decided to come back next year, but then for two weeks!

Vacation trip with two dogs

We had a truly pleasant and cozy stay in this old fisherman's cottage. As the evenings got colder, we could light the fireplace. Sufficient wood was provided for us. From here, one can undertake many excursions. However, having a car is advisable. Through kilometers of tree-lined avenues, marshlands, and endless expanses, you come across historical cities, castles, and ancient palaces time and again. There is much to discover. With luck, you can also marvel at wild bison. We found Masuria very charming, as well as the hospitality of the Polish people. We were certainly not in Masuria for the last time, or as our landlord always said: in Masuria!

If something is missing or if you have any questions, the landlord is on site and very helpful. The house has no heating, but a fireplace, which creates a rustic atmosphere. Unser Urlaub in den Masuren

We had a wonderful holiday in Mr. Tarnawski's accommodation. The house was equipped with everything we needed and very nicely decorated, with a grocery store just a few houses away. The location right by the lake was fantastic, and there were numerous opportunities for great activities in the area. We highly recommend taking a day trip on Mr. Tarnawski's houseboat. Mr. Tarnawski speaks German very well and was always available to assist us with advice and support when needed.
