Description
Fully equipped bungalow for 4 persons with 2 bedrooms, kitchen with all appliances (fridge, freezer, washing machine, stove, etc.), directly in the garden. Terrace, large bathroom and air conditioning are available as well as a small TV with international channels.
Use of swimming pool from Hotel Neos Matala (open seasonally) is possible, of course. The pool is 20 meters away. The services of the hotel can be fully utilized. The prices do not include meals, but breakfast can be booked at an additional cost at the hotel.
The bungalow is cleaned daily.

The bungalow is located on the ground of the hotel Neos Matala, in a quiet area, in front of a stunning mountain range. The road is about 50 meters away, so it is a quiet atmosphere. The bungalow is surrounded by green meadows and the terrace is covered with vines. Matala is your holiday place in a beautiful bay, framed by the famous caves, which are located in the rocks, and served in antiquity as dwellings and tombs. Already in the Minoan period Matala was the port for the Palace of Faistos.
In the 60´s and 70´s years, the hippies found in the caves of Matala a place to \"chill\" and since that time, Matala became world famous. Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens sang about the magic of light and the unique, romantic sunsets in this lovely patch of earth. For the first time in 2011 the \"Matala Festival\" held, that both the flower children of the early tourist time and today\'s guests moved to Matala. In future it is planned to carry out this festival.
Nowadays Matala is a fishing village, which offers amenities of a modern resort. Cozy taverns can be found right on the beach. From there, you\'ll gain a unique view of beautiful sunsets. Cafes and bars, stay open until the early morning and also offer a variety of entertainment for revelers. Similarly, you will find shops for daily needs during the holidays.

The bungalow lies on the nearly 2000 sqm area from Hotel Neos Matala. All equipments of the Hotel (Pool, playing ground, garden, terrasse with WIFI) can also be used.
Starting 2013 you also find a bikestation on the area of Hotel Neos Matala, where you can rent differend bicycles (rent for fee).
Taxiservice and car rental can be orginazed by the hotel.

Wonderful holiday in a great location
We spent a lovely and unfortunately far too short time in Matala.
The flat is generously divided and very quietly located at the edge of the property. It is only a few steps to the pool, the centre of the village with many restaurants and the beach directly in front of the famous caves are within walking distance. For a pure beach holiday you can do without a rental car here. The flat was cleaned daily, breakfast can also be booked at short notice. Very nice contact with the landlords. We felt comfortable all around.
