Under the rooftops of Marseille, overlooking the Vieux-Port: The Majorelle Vieux Port is a 77 m² attic refuge, purchased and renovated to honor a Marseilles family history. The name says it all: a wall in deep Majorelle blue, warm wooden floors, a library, plenty of light. Quiet and lounge-like, in the middle of the liveliest district of the city. Up to 6 guests can sleep here: a bedroom with a double bed under the Velux window and its own bathroom with shower (double rain shower, double washbasin), a gallery with two sleeping places and a work corner above the living room, plus a Murphy bed in the lounge. Separate WC with washing machine.
The centerpiece: the folding glass front to the terrace. When fully opened, it extends the lounge outdoors, with the Vieux-Port as a backdrop. Included: powerful air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, smart TV (Canal+, Prime, Apple TV), AirPlay speakers, dishwasher and coffee machine (coffee is on the house).
Access is keyless (Nuki app), an illustrated guest guide in DE/EN/FR explains everything step by step, and I am quickly reachable via WhatsApp.
Honesty is part of it: 5 floors without an elevator (my 85-year-old grandmother manages them in 4 minutes), non-smoking apartment (the terrace is fine), no parties... For that, you live in a home, not in a holiday machine.

You are just a few steps from Place aux Huiles and Quai de Rive-Neuve: right in the middle of it all. Life begins downstairs, with bistros and terraces right at your doorstep (Travers and Coquille, two of the best spots in the neighborhood, are literally downstairs), bakeries, the old port.
You can reach the Vieux-Port on foot in 1 minute; with the ferry boat (a Marseille institution, crossing takes 5 minutes) you are in Le Panier, the old town. Noailles with its Maghreb markets is 12 minutes away, Notre-Dame de la Garde 35 to 45 minutes (it's uphill, the view makes up for it), the Plage des Catalans beach 20 minutes on foot. In summer, the harbor ferry takes you to Pointe Rouge. Mobility: Vieux-Port metro in 5 minutes on foot (direct connection to Saint-Charles train station and airport shuttle), bus 83 directly below (Corniche and beaches), Indigo Estienne d'Orves parking garage in 2 minutes; in the mornings, free parking spaces are often available in the neighborhood.
Honestly: On weekends, the neighborhood is lively until around 10:30 p.m., that's part of the Vieux-Port. The bedroom is well insulated from street noise. If you want to experience Marseille, this is the perfect place to stay.
