An entire ancient house of stone and wood, recently renovated with respectful criteria but modern technologies, comfortable for four people.
Consistent with the owners’ philosophy, the house has been furnished and equipped with bio-compatible criteria: we use electricity from renewable sources, only recycled paper, and organic cotton linens. In the kitchen and bathroom we have eliminated single-use and single-portion products, PFAS substances, and minimized the use of plastic.
Cleaning products for the house, kitchen, and personal care are bio-certified or self-produced with natural ingredients.
The house is located on the first floor and is reached by a historic stone staircase of 10 steps (which may be limiting in case of walking difficulties). You will have at your disposal a spacious fully equipped kitchen, with a large fridge, oven, induction cooktop, espresso machine (with coffee), a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, a bathroom with shower. The living room, with a dining table for six people and a sofa, has a modern wood-burning fireplace. Smart TV, Hi-Fi with Bluetooth connection to listen to your favorite music. Modern comforts and free Wi-Fi connection. Laundry room with washing machine. The true jewel of the house is the covered terrace, accessible from the living room, where you can also have breakfast, which we have dedicated to relaxation. You will find a garden with aromatic herbs (Rosemary, Oregano, Lippia, Lemon Balm, Helichrysum, Thyme, Sage) and small trees of Oranges, Lemons, Kumquat, a foosball table, darts, and a punching ball. Inside the house, numerous books are available for reading, but guests can also make use of a free Book-crossing library and a secure bicycle storage. Some bicycles are available for free.
Since we do not simply wish to rent houses, but to offer opportunities for meaningful experiences and discoveries, for 2026 we offer many activities for free: Italian and Tuscan cooking, foraging, biodynamic vegetable garden, hiking, herbalism. Guests staying for three nights can choose one activity, while those staying for seven nights can select two from the available options.
You can enjoy free use of a Book-crossing library, a secure bicycle storage, and an e-bike charging station. Some bicycles are available free of charge.
Upon your arrival you will find a basket of fruit, pasta, bread, oil, coffee, and for stays of at least 7 nights, a bottle of wine. We return part of your rent to support the Village of Solidarity of the Social Cooperative Il Pungiglione. As a token of thanks, upon your arrival you will find a jar of organic honey produced by the Cooperative.
