From the beginning of our stay, the experience was extremely frustrating. The communication was rude and unclear, and we were not provided with accurate instructions for accessing the apartment. When we arrived, we stood outside in the heat for approximately Three hours before finally learning that the keys were at a market about five blocks away. There were multiple keys, with instructions regarding which keys were supposed to unlock the unit, but the instructions were not clear. We were initially given the wrong apartment number. For approximately another hour. and a half hours, we were trying to determine where we were supposed to go. It was only after people in the building stepped in and began calling the contact person that we learned the correct apartment was Apartment 11, on a different floor. The residents also helped us identify the elevator fob from the large ring of keys so that we could operate the elevator. A maintenance person finally arrived approximately three hours after we arrived to help us access the apartment. By that point, we had already figured out how to use the keys, although it took considerable effort because the key had to be turned multiple times in the lock. Once we entered the apartment, the maintenance person turned on all four air-conditioning units to cool the space. However, we were not told that the apartment's electrical system could not support all four air conditioners operating at the same time. Within about five minutes, the electricity went out. We contacted the concierge to report the problem, and the first response was essentially, “What did you do?” This was particularly frustrating because we had only just entered the apartment and had not done anything unusual. The concierge then contacted maintenance, who returned, unplugged one of the air conditioners, and explained that the apartment could not support all four units running simultaneously. The electrical problems continued throughout our stay. We repeatedly lost power when using basic appliances such as the coffee maker, oven, or curling iron. At other times, the electricity would shut off without any obvious reason. Maintenance showed us how to reset the electrical switch in the basement, but this became an ongoing inconvenience during our stay. On the third day, we also lost hot water. When we contacted the concierge, we were asked whether we had checked the boiler. However, no one told us where the boiler was located or provided instructions for resetting it. As a result, we spent the remainder of our stay without hot water. When we left on 22nd, moving to a hotel where we had reliable air conditioning, electricity, and hot water. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The lack of clear instructions, incorrect apartment information, poor communication, repeated electrical failures, and loss of hot water made our stay unnecessarily stressful and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this property to anyone visiting Milan.
