Experience an unforgettable holiday in our holiday apartment "Nestwärme" in picturesque Calau, Land Brandenburg. Our spacious holiday apartment offers 130 square meters of space for up to 5 guests. In two cozy bedrooms and a large eat-in kitchen you will find plenty of room to relax and fully enjoy your holiday.
The town of Calau (Kalawa). City of puns with legendary surroundings. Nestled between the idyllic Spreewald and the hills of the Calauer Schweiz.
In the south of Calau, in a fenced, well-kept complex, you will find our lovingly and comfortably furnished, almost barrier-free holiday apartment for up to 7 people.
Our modernly furnished holiday apartment features 2 beautiful bedrooms, a living kitchen, and spacious sanitary facilities. In one bedroom there is a double bed, in room 2 two separate single beds. The rooms can be expanded with a folding bed/guest bed and a baby bed! When using 2 bedrooms, rooms 1 and 2 are connecting rooms! This way, the apartment can accommodate a maximum of seven people.
The apartment is on the ground floor and has no stairs, making it almost barrier-free! In front of the holiday apartment there is a garden where you can barbecue and enjoy the sun.
An aviary with parrots will surely catch your interest! No noise disturbance!
A comfortable kitchen with coffee/tea/spices and other useful items as well as dishwasher, ceramic stove, oven and microwave and much more.

A charming small town in Lower Lusatia, close to the Spreewald forest.
A wide range of leisure activities in beautiful surroundings make travelling to Calau a wonderful experience, whether for families, couples or singles.
The holiday home is close to nature, as the cycle and hiking trail to Calau Switzerland with its 43 metre high new clinker tower begins just "around the corner", past the "Riesnoer Teich" fishing pond. At the same time, the central market square of the town of Calau with bakeries, restaurants and small shops is just a few minutes' walk away. Only the railway station is about 2 km away, because the station should be close to the tracks... Discover the "healthy small town with wit" on the Kalauer-Witzerundweg. "Anyone who has not yet seen this town must go barefoot as punishment!" - This rhyme was once the motto of Calau's journeymen shoemakers and still is today when guided tours of the town are offered along the Witzerundweg. Immerse yourself in times gone by and let yourself smile, because the famous "Kalauer" originated here. Calau is considered the birthplace of the "Kalauer", the so-called word joke. The shoemakers, who have been active since the 19th century, created wordplay and jokes with deliberate double meanings non-stop. There are currently plaques at 25 prominent locations in the city centre, which, in addition to information about the city's history, are of course also peppered with a real pun. And: guests and visitors will come across a bronze sculpture of the cobbler here and there, and can unwind on a hike in Calauer Schweiz or while canoeing/boating in the enchanted and legendary Spreewald. Or discover the overwhelming formation of the Lusatian Lakeland from open-cast mining pits and the industrial history, e.g. at the edge of the open-cast mine or on the F60 conveyor bridge, the "horizontal Eiffel Tower".

Short trip to Barcelona.
We went as a family for a short trip to the Spreewald and stayed in this beautiful accommodation. The landlords are very friendly and accommodating. Wishes are quickly implemented. My children were especially enthusiastic about the table tennis table and we had very nice evenings with a lot of fun. Our Labrador was also lovingly welcomed and he felt very comfortable in the garden. It was very nice days and we would love to come back. Thank you very much.

"Nestwärme" is lived here
From the first contact to departure, a very successful holiday. The parking spaces right in front of the door, an enclosure with chickens and aviaries with beautiful exotic parrots, and a large fenced garden surprised us positively. Our children had a lot to discover, the dogs had the necessary exercise, and thus we had relaxed days in the Spreewald. Also, shopping facilities can be conveniently reached on foot (300 m).
All in all, a wonderful holiday in a more than spacious holiday apartment (suitable for disabled guests) with very friendly landlords. A big thank you to the Kossack family.
