Discover the idyllic holiday home on the island Aarø 252 in the Little Belt, Baltic Sea. A perfect vacation spot for up to 4 guests. This charming cottage offers, on 55 square meters, two small bedrooms, a kitchen, dining table, and a living area with a fireplace and sea view. With comfortable beds and a WC with shower. Ideal for families or for relaxation/work with or without a dog.
The holiday home is characterized by a cozy interior, with wooden floors and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The large window front in the living room provides plenty of natural light and offers a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape and the Baltic Sea. The wooden house was built in 1967 and has been maintained as needed. New kitchen in 2025.
In the outdoor area, a 2,800 m2 garden with grass and fruit trees invites you to relax, play, and have fun. A sunny terrace with barbecue facilities is ready for cozy evenings. Or have a bonfire. Wood is included. A private parking space is also available, making the journey by car uncomplicated.
For cooler days, the house offers a cozy fireplace in the living area, creating a snug atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher, kettle, and coffee machine leaves nothing to be desired and makes self-catering a pleasure.
For recreation, bicycles are available for you to explore the unique nature of the island. Also, technical conveniences such as Wi-Fi, a TV, and a washing machine are available. A crib is available for our little guests, and an iron is on hand just in case.
You can reach the beach in a 10-minute walk. Directly in front of the house is a Natura 2000 bird protection area. Deer, pheasants, and geese can be seen in front of the house.
The ferry ride to Aarö only takes 7 minutes. Aarö offers several restaurants in the summer, a campground, a boat harbor, a brewery, and a winery. The nature in the Baltic Sea is unique, and the house is surrounded by fields and has an unobstructed view of the Baltic Sea with other islands in the distance.

Those seeking peace, nature, and Danish coziness will love this holiday home. The journey to the small island is already an experience – and as soon as you open the door, you instantly feel at home. The secluded location is simply breathtaking: surrounded by nothing but meadows, sea views, and incomparable Nordic light, gentle rain, and wind that can blow away dark thoughts even on gray days. The house itself is equipped with high-quality features, thoughtfully and functionally furnished – no unnecessary frills, but everything you need to feel comfortable. You can sense that value has been placed on quality and atmosphere here. A special highlight is the small island universe all around: the friendly brewery that produces surprisingly fine beers, the alpaca farm where you can find walking companions, and the little shop with homemade products – from potatoes to honey to eggs that still taste natural.
A place where you feel time runs slower. A spot to breathe, read, enjoy – and perhaps fall a little bit in love with Denmark?

Incredibly beautiful relaxation in nature
The holiday home in Aarø is wonderfully located, between fields and with an incredible view all the way to the sea. You see animals every day and can enjoy the peace. However, you are also very quickly at the sea and in the nearby village.
The cabin is equipped with everything you need: from a grill, new kitchen with dishwasher to a trampoline and apple trees in the garden. Even spices and various baking utensils are available.
We really enjoyed the week and will definitely come back! Thank you very much for the wonderful time!

Our house on Aaarö Island was built in 1967, and we took it over in 2008. Since then, we have spent countless beautiful days there with family and friends. We are a family with 3 children and live in Haderslev, 20 minutes from Aarösund. I work in Germany.
