We stayed in a spacious, simple but completely and tastefully furnished apartment in a nice castle on the Amblève .. In front of the outside door a terrace where we read in peace. A well-stocked Delhaize supermarket is a 5-minute walk away. Less than a 30 minute walk along the river is the lovely town of Aywaille with many restaurants and terraces. In many places in the valley we saw damage from the flood, including at the castle. The friendly team of staff were still hard at work on recovery; but also always paid attention to the guests. In short, we had a wonderful week in a beautiful valley with good hiking trails.
