This charming cottage right next to Lake Skager is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of beautiful nature. With an area of 60 square meters, the cabin offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. In addition, the balcony and private jetty are right at the far end of the lake. You can't ask for closer and better. The cottage is part of the historic Gudhammars Herrgård with several houses and an old mill to begin with. The house is called Brygghuset. The cottage was newly renovated in 2023 and has a fresh and bright interior in Nordic country style that gives you a relaxing atmosphere and very welcoming. You enter a small hall with a bathroom just to the right. To the left, the living room and kitchen open up, which is integrated into one. Straight ahead from the hall is a steep ladder up to the house's first loft with sleeping space for 2 people. Next to the kitchen - with its own exit to the jetty and the balcony - is the house's second bedroom with a 160 cm bed. From the kitchen area there is a staircase/ladder to the house's second loft with two more beds. Both stairs are somewhat steep, so be careful if you have children or find it difficult to get up and down. The living room has a seating area with dining area and TV corner. The fully equipped kitchen provides the opportunity for delicious meals to be enjoyed on the balcony or in the garden while you listen to the sound of the lake. The cottage is one of 6 other accommodations at Gudhammars Herrgård. So if you are traveling with more people in the party, feel free to check out the other houses. The house is very beautifully located by the lake. The furnishings are very good. Only the bathroom is very small, although it has underfloor heating. Fishing from the dock is difficult, as it is very shallow. Unfortunately, the contact person for special bookings, such as the boat and bed linen, was not on the property upon arrival. So we only received the items at 9 PM. Since you pay for the boat on a weekly basis, it was already frustrating during our 4-day stay. Recommendations: The house is very beautifully located by the lake. The equipment is very good. Only the bathroom is very small, although it has underfloor heating. Fishing from the dock is difficult, as it is very shallow. Unfortunately, the contact person for special bookings, such as the boat and bed linen, was not on the property upon arrival. So we only received the items at 9 PM. Since the boat is paid for weekly, it was already frustrating during our 4-day stay.

Everything is perfectly clean, as there is a mandatory final cleaning. Unfortunately, it seems that during the guests' stay, or when the doors were left open, cats (from the yard) were allowed in (or possibly brought in), which then sat on the sofa, among other places. Those who are allergic should avoid it. I could hardly enter the house, and sitting on the sofas was out of the question. Recommendations: Outings: - Tiveden - Ride a draisine in Gullspang - Örebro / City - Sjötorp / Göta Canal lock to Lake Vänern - Cycling along the Göta Canal - Sitting by the water in Mariestad in summer (many options for food) - Shopping center Marieberg / Örebro - Boating on Skagern - Swimming - Cycling - Fishing - Visit a typical pastry shop

The location of the house is beautiful, situated on an old estate. Additionally, the house is directly by the water, with a view of the lake and forest. It is wonderfully quiet and relaxing. We were four people on site to fish. The fishing is fantastic! We caught a lot of zander and perch, but pike were also to be outsmarted (though they were not our target). / / A grill is also available, and additional boats can be rented. / / The estate also has a lot to offer for children. A small sandy beach is located to the right of the house. There is a swing and a soccer goal available. In the yard itself, cows, horses, and sheep can be seen and touched. The road is also far away. Recommendations: A boat tour along the coastline in calm sunny weather is highly recommended.
