Experience true archipelago living in this exceptional beachfront home on the peaceful island of Knekteholmen, just outside Oskarshamn. Accessible by motorboat - the house offers privacy, comfort, and uninterrupted sea views in a rare island setting. The home features a spacious sea-facing balcony furnished for both dining and relaxation, plus deckchairs for sunny days. A large glazed conservatory with a dining area provides a cozy retreat on cooler evenings. Inside, the bright, fully equipped kitchen with a wood-burning stove, and panoramic sea views. The living room offers a sofa, a fireplace, a TV, and Wi-Fi. Sleeping arrangements include three bedrooms: one on the ground floor with a double bed; an upstairs bedroom with a double bed beneath the eaves; and a third bedroom with two family bunk beds, accessed via its own entrance from the balcony. The house also includes a full modern bathroom and a washing machine. Knekteholmen is a quiet island with only two houses located close, but it is positioned in a way that leaves your sea-facing side completely private. Swim directly from the rocks or the jetty using the bathing ladder with caution. Contact the owner a day before arrival for instructions, as they’ll meet you at check-in and guide you to the house, located a five-minute boat ride away from Sörvik marina. Guests should bring their own sheets and towels. Oskarshamn, with grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants, is a drive away from the marina, so plan supplies before arrival, as no shops are available on the island. While the island’s calm makes it hard to leave, a ferry trip from Oskarshamn to Byxelkrok is a wonderful option for a day excursion.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time in this special holiday home in Sweden. Already upon arrival, one notices how much effort has been put into ensuring that guests lack for nothing. The house is very well equipped and offers everything needed for a relaxing vacation. Especially the kitchen leaves nothing to be desired – from everyday items to many little extras, everything is available that one needs for cooking, baking, and dining together. The premises are also designed with a lot of love and thought. In nice weather, the spacious outdoor area invites you to find a different favorite spot again and again. There are many ways to enjoy the tranquility and the beautiful nature. And even in bad weather, boredom does not arise: With the various lounge areas, you always find a cozy spot, and several options to use the fireplace create a very special atmosphere. Especially on cooler evenings, it is simply wonderful to get cozy and enjoy the peace. The location and the surroundings are truly a dream for nature lovers. Those who love peace, nature, and water will feel at home here immediately. The landscape is beautiful and invites you to simply switch off and leave everyday life behind. We particularly liked the opportunity to use the available boat for free. This way, the surroundings can also be explored from the water, and one can enjoy the stay in a completely different way. A barbecue option is also available, making cozy evenings outdoors perfect. The private parking at the boat dock is also very practical. Special praise goes to the landlord. We found him to be exceptionally hospitable, helpful, and uncomplicated. He is always reachable if a question arises, something needs to be clarified, or support is required. One never feels like a burden with a concern – on the contrary: help is provided quickly and easily. This personal and warm manner made our stay even more pleasant. Overall, this holiday home is a place where one can truly find peace. The combination of a cozy and well-equipped house, beautiful nature, water, many opportunities around the house, and a great landlord makes the stay something special. We felt completely comfortable here, enjoyed the time very much, and would book this holiday home again at any time. A clear recommendation for anyone who wants to spend a quiet, nature-close, and uncomplicated vacation in Sweden!
