Within walking distance of the town centre, but quietly located in the well-kept residential area of Mehlby, this freshly furnished and tastefully decorated holiday home is an ideal domicile for families with several children and couples travelling together, also with pets
The bright and modern furnished holiday home (4+ stars, 150 sqm living space, suitable for 2-6 pers.) scores not only with its comprehensive, spacious furnishings, but also with a beautiful outdoor area. The 900 sqm fully fenced garden has beautiful flower beds, a large lawn for sunbathing or romping and a fruit tree stand. The sunny south-facing terrace has garden furniture, sun loungers, a sandpit with playground equipment and a barbecue. Wellness fans can also look forward to a beautiful, high-quality outdoor sauna here!
Two parking spaces on the property as well as a lockable shed are available to the holiday guest. Bicycles or sports accessories can be safely stored here
Inside, there is a modern kitchen with dishwasher, large refrigerator with freezer, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, cooker with oven and a small breakfast counter...here you can prepare a wonderful family meal. The large open hallway is flooded with light from panoramic windows overlooking the garden and leads into the living room. Here, a comfortable dining area with seating for 6 invites you to linger, as does the cosy living area with its snug seating set. A large flat-screen TV, DVD, CD music system and a comprehensive collection of books entertain the guest, and if the weather is not quite so nice, then the crackling fireplace, which can be viewed from both sides!
(Firewood can be used on site for EUR 5/basket)
The cottage has four bedrooms, two with double beds and two with single beds. The two single bedrooms and a spacious master bedroom are on the upper floor with a view of the garden, the fourth bedroom is on the ground floor, also facing the garden with access to the terrace
The house has both a full bathroom with shower/tub/WC and ample storage space on the ground floor and a second bathroom with shower on the ground floor. The entire house is laid with easy-care tiles and has a washing machine with drying room in the basement, making it ideal for families with small children or pet owners
A child/baby equipment consisting of travel cot, high chair and stair gate can be provided free of charge upon request.

Kappeln (Danish: Kappel) is a town in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg in Schleswig-Holstein (Germany). The town on the Schlei is a fishing town and was a garrison town (Olpenitz) until June 2006. Kappeln has a central function for eastern Angeln and northern Schwansen. In addition to a small harbour, Kappeln has several pleasure boat moorings

The Schlei
Recreation and fun on holiday, for the whole family
The Schlei stretches 42 km from Schleimünde at Lotseninsel, Olpenitz - south and Maasholm - north, via Kappeln and Arnis to the town of Schleswig, where you will find a small island, Möweninsel. The Schlei separates the districts of Angeln and Schwansen and has an average width of 1.3 km and an average depth of 3 m
There are many natural bays along the Schlei. The widest part of the Schlei is between Missunde and Schleswig, where the Große Breite and Kleine Breite are located. Both are good places for sailing, rowing and fishing. The Schlei contains brackish water, whose salinity decreases from Schleimünde to Schleswig. To the left and right, lake-like extensions, so-called Noore, have formed, which are connected to the Schlei
The Schlei is a popular sailing area, the partly touristy Schlei region is an important local recreation area for the nearby state capital Kiel - and of course also for the major city to the south of Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg

A beautiful, bright, and cheerful house that invites the whole family to relax. Lots of room to play and a warm feeling. The surroundings are simply great and nice, and everything is within walking distance. You can take great bike tours or hikes and then relax comfortably on the sofa and just enjoy yourself. Designer Tours was by our side throughout the entire vacation, always providing tips and advice.

successful vacation
We had a wonderful vacation in Kappeln on the Schlei with our two children. The large garden was a paradise for our children, and they also enjoyed their individual rooms very much. The house is very well-maintained, clean, and modernly cozy furnished. On cool evenings and after walks on the Baltic Sea beach, the fireplace was especially a true joy for all of us. The center of Kappeln is not far away by foot or bicycle, and it's perfect for strolling. Also worth mentioning is the dirt road near the house that invites for walking. A truly beautiful holiday that will stay in our memories for a long time, thank you!

Our vacation March 2026
We, 3 adults, 1 dog, spent a very nice week in the Vincent house. Everything you need is available, the kitchen is well equipped, we lacked nothing. The house is very clean and lovingly furnished. Our dog had fun in the garden with the moles, which he couldn't drive away either. We recommend the house 100%.

All in all, a super beautiful house. It is very well maintained and clean. The contact with the agency was very nice and competent. Here you find everything you need (for humans and animals). The price-performance ratio is 100% right.

Pure relaxation
We were now the third time in the holiday home Vincent in Kappeln/Mehlby and feel very comfortable (2 families with two dogs). Everyone has their own area and for the dogs a super beautiful well-kept garden. The pictures reflect everything exactly. Everything is very well maintained and fully equipped. As soon as the matter of converting the holiday apartments with the city of Kappeln is clarified, we will come again. Many thanks also for the great support from the agency and the cleaning staff.
