Description
Charming little house in Southern Skåne,surrounded by fields and Forrest and 20 meters from a small river. The House has been rented for 20 years and many of our guests are coming back year after year, due to the nice little house and the lovely sorroundings.
On the backside of the house there is a hugh newbuilt terrass and a garden. On the tarass there is a grill and furniture and in the garden you can find a hammock. At the end of he Garden, Helge å (a small river) is running. From the terasse you have a view over the river and the fields on the other side of the river.
The area offers possibilities for fishing and a small rowing boat is included in the price. It is also very nice surroundings for long walks or bicycle excursions.
There are also possibilities to go swimming in the sourrounding lakes and rivers, the closest place for swimming is 1 kilometer from the house.
Åhus, which is 40 kilometers from the house also offers really nice beaches by the sea.
The house has one dining room with a stove, one room with a masonry heater. The stove and the masonry heater can be used, wood is provided for free. The house has two bedrooms (one room with a double bed and one with two bunk beds).
The house is located by a farm, the next (and only) neighbour is about 60 meters from the house. The backside of the house is however private, with the river as the closest neighbour.

Situated in the countryside, with forests, fields and water all around
Broby: Broby is 3 kilometres from the house - In Broby there are grocery shops (8-20 daily), pharmacy, post office, bank, gas station, public transport, mini golf, beverage market, pizzerias and restaurants. Here you can also buy fishing permits at Lindvalls Järn.
Kristianstad: Kristianstad is the closest town - 30 kilometres from the house. There it is good for shopping, visiting museums, going to restaurants or just walking around.

If you visit the site ifiske.se and search on "Broby Genastorp" you can read about the fish species of Helgeå and also buy a fishing card.
Fishing permits cost 80 kroner for a week and 100 kroner for a month and can also be bought at "Lindvalls Järnaffär" in Broby

- Åhus - sea - 40 km (very nice, good for children) (in Åhus you also have to buy the famous Otto ice cream)
Tips on activities in the surroundings:
- Brio Lekoseum (Osby-20 km), Briogatan 2, Osby: My best recommendation for families with children and for Brio fans :) Toy museum, with lots to do and see for the kids. They have playrooms, workshops for Father Christmas (super cute), exhibitions with old toys and much more. There is also an outlet for Brio toys nearby.
- "Old Cars / Motos Cafe (2 km)- Every Tuesday in summer it is the Old Cars Evening in Tydingesjön from 5 pm. Then old cars from all over southern Sweden come to look at (50-100 cars). Every Thursday there is the same concept but for motorbikes. You can also eat and drink well there. Very recommendable :)
-Ikea museum, Ikeagatan 5, Älmhult (40 km) - In Älmhult, the home of Ikea, you will find a new museum where you can learn all about Ikea's background and see old furniture and designs. Highly recommended!
-Moose Safari (40 km), Markaryd, Smålandet,Misterhult 2018: You can drive your car into a large moose enclosure. Along a 3 km long winding forest path you can experience the king of the forests up close.
- Broby Heimats-museeum ( 2 km), Per Johnssons väg 2, Broby: (only outside) Can be visited all the time a nice walk. 10 older houses in a small park (no entrance fee). In summer there is also a café, open Wednesday to Sunday 13-19
-Immelns Kanu centre (20 km), Gamla Byvägen, Immeln (20 km): If you want to try canoeing or kayaking, the lake Immen is beautiful. There is a canoe centre that rents out canoes and kayaks. Immen is a beautiful lake. +46 44 96 100
-Skånes Tierpark, Jularp 150, Höör (60 km): Large animal park with typical Swedish animals. Admission - children 300, adults 400.
- Rent a trolley (3 km), can be rented in Broby, you can go 12 km to Glimmende, and then back to Broby (24 km in total). One trolley for 2 adults or 1 adult and two children. Costs 250/trolley for 3 hours. Must be booked: +4644-44048. Key is collected from Adele Ingvar in Broby: Storgatan 3
-Randiz Lekland (30 km) - Väverigatan 2, Kristianstad: Playland with sildern, ball cannons, trampolines, megabolls, climbing walls, bicycles, three sports arenas, parkour obstacle course
Food and drink:
Gästgivare gården Broby - "Broby gastgeberi" - here you can have a good lunch Monday to Friday between 11-14 for 85 SEK. Always a big sallat buffet and two or three delicious dishes. They also have a bar and restaurant on Friday and Saturday evenings 17-23.
Haacks, Riksvägen 12, Knislinge, 10 km - offers Swedish and Danish specialities - good for lunch. Highly recommended. Open 9-17 Tuesday-Sunday.
Pecorino, Briogatan 7, Osby, 20 km, Italenische buffe for lunch, Very good! Open 10-17 Tuesday-Friday, 10-14 Saturday
Broby also offer pizzerias, thai and other dining options.

If you cancel later than 60 days before, you will lose the deposit (100€ per week). If you cancel later than 2 weeks before arrival, you will not receive any refund. However, if the environmental situation changes and travel is not allowed, as was the case with COVID, you can cancel up to 2 weeks before arrival and get a full refund.

Perfect for a quiet vacation
We spent 12 beautiful days in Broby and can definitely recommend a vacation there. We were warmly welcomed by the really nice landlord family, and during our stay, they were always available for questions or nice conversations. The surroundings are wonderfully idyllic and very quiet; we were also lucky with the weather and were able to spend a lot of time outside - on the terrace, with small and larger excursions in the area, or on the boat on the lake (the boys found joy in fishing). The house is practically but cozily furnished, and everything needed for everyday life is there (the bathroom is quite small, but we managed well even as four?). - and there is no washing machine, but one may use the one from the Bjärlestam family).
In the area, there are many beautiful opportunities for walks, excursions, and activities, and plenty of information and suggestions were provided by the landlord.
We thank you for the great time and would come back again! !

Beautiful, cozy holiday home
We had a very nice stay. The house offers everything one could want and we lacked nothing.
Already upon arrival, one feels transported into a Swedish fairy tale, as we were greeted by cows and cats right away.
The nearest town is reachable in a few minutes, offering shopping opportunities and a beautiful playground that we visited almost daily.
For a relaxing vacation with a toddler, we couldn't have chosen a better place.

Cute house to relax in
We spent a great week here as a family of 5!
Super nice landlords, cats to play with, a rowing boat for the teenager, cool outdoor pool nearby, great views and wonderful peace and quiet.
We can absolutely recommend the house!

In the middle of nature
We had three relaxing weeks in the middle of nature. Swimming, boating, hiking, cycling, fishing...everything was great. The children quickly made friends with the cats and cows. The highlight was also the daily table tennis tournament. Göran and Britt are very nice landlords and always approachable. Highly recommended for nature-loving families.
