Description
Welcome to our little Swedish spot in Småland. Our cottage, which used to be part of a larger farm, is situated a little out of the way at the end of a small country settlement called Kuttaboda. It is surrounded by forest and despite its convenient location, it is all to itself and somewhat hidden behind many trees. It's a great place to relax, unwind and listen to the forest. Or do some pretty crazy things, because - no one sees it.
It has been there for over a hundred years and is a cosy little house for its inhabitants. In the meantime, it has been freshly renovated, has its own modern water supply, a cosily converted attic and a brand-new extension with kitchen and bathroom.
Two stoves are ready for cosy fireside hours. In the kitchen oven, which can be heated with wood, you can also bake and cook like in the old days. Wood for the stoves or the barbecue is in the shed and may be used.
If you like it especially nostalgic, you are welcome to participate in the production of your own compost in the outdoor toilet. Our "Trissebude" invites you to experience self-discovery and let go of all excess with a direct view of the forest.
The courtyard between the house and the shed is a great place to relax, sunbathe, barbecue (if it's not too dry), drink coffee or play garden sports.

From Kuttaboda, the most popular adventure destinations in Småland are within easy reach. There are many lakes and a large river in the area, but also Astrid Lindgren's home, the glassblowing region, the sea, various parks and well-known larger towns such as Jönköping, Kalmar or Växjö can be reached in reasonable driving time. The surrounding area has numerous small offerings from artisans, flea markets and cafés. So if you want to be active, you can go on adventurous day trips
There is a secluded swimming spot 10 minutes' drive away at the nearest large lake, and another, more developed one in Åseda or in Näshult, about 15 minutes' drive away.
For grocery shopping, there are two small supermarkets in nearby Åseda. There are also several petrol stations and medical care there.

INFO FOR DOG OWNERS For the accommodation of dogs the house and property is only conditionally suitable, therefore a detailed arrangement is in all interest. For example, there is a rather steep staircase to the upper floor with overlapping steps, which is provided with several holding options for humans, so it is not a problem for them, but it might be for dogs. The property is right next to the forest, which is home to wild animals that can also get onto the property. The fence all around is coarse-meshed and does not keep small dogs out. The driveway and a back exit into the forest are not closed. This is something to consider in advance if staying with a dog.
RESTRICTED PERIOD We can only offer bookings with dogs in the low season. During the high season (June, July, August) the change of tenants is often very tight in terms of time, but the house is more difficult to clean due to the animal hair. We can only guarantee the necessary thoroughness for subsequent guests in the low season through longer booking intervals.

a sooo beautiful Swedish house :)
The Lilla Skogstorp immediately appealed to us. From the first outer impression to the lovingly designed, clean, and well-maintained interior. After a first small tour of the house, it was clear to us that we would feel very comfortable there.
The location is also nice - somewhat off the "road" (more of a sandy path), surrounded by trees/forest, you have your little retreat all to yourself. The large garden offers many opportunities for peace, relaxation, but also play and action with the children. Shopping options are also easily accessible within a 10 to 15-minute drive in the neighboring towns of Aseda and Virserum.
We have used Lilla Skogstorp as a starting point for many tours in the beautiful landscape of Småland as well as visits to the Astrid Lindgren locations (Katthult, Bullerbü) and attractions (Filmbyn, Astrid Lindgren Värld), all of which are within about 60-80 minutes by car through beautiful landscapes is reachable.
With Thomas and Annette, we had very friendly and helpful landlords, to whom we sincerely thank for providing this wonderful accommodation.

A true oasis of calm
Those who love nature are well placed in this area. The house itself is lovingly furnished, very clean, and nothing was missing. The house wonderfully combines the old and new buildings. The pictures correspond to reality. We felt very comfortable there, and the stay has a truly positive lasting effect.
We had the opportunity to meet Thomas personally due to a small problem. He came by himself and immediately solved the "problem." That was a very pleasant encounter for us.
The stairs to the upper floor are indeed quite steep, as can be seen from the description. It is rather less recommended for people with significant limitations in the knee/hip area. It may also be difficult for pets.
We looked at a lot, from Växjö and Katthult down to Öland. A moose park was, of course, a must. We visited someone who offers a guided tour in German.
A special highlight was spotting a moose in the wild, not far from the accommodation.
Oh yes, and the distances should not be underestimated. Thomas said, more or less with a wink: an hour of driving is rather a short distance in Sweden.
Absolutely recommended and for us an unforgettable experience. Would love to do it again.

Beautiful
Thank you very much for allowing us to be your guests. We found a very nicely located, very clean, and well-equipped house. Even everyday necessities were available and could be used (e.g., coffee, tea). Super nice hosts who also fulfilled some of our "special requests." The nearest small town is only 10 minutes away, and there was plenty for us to explore in the area. We were there over Christmas/New Year's and were lucky to have a white Christmas. Despite some neighboring houses on the street, it was very quiet, even New Year's Eve was calm. We really enjoyed it. Keep it up.

Winter Wonderland
This is already our second visit and we are once again thrilled by this wonderful cabin.
Nothing is missing, and everything was very clean and well-maintained, just like the first time.
Due to the abundant snow, we could enjoy nature even better this time.

What a lovely place!
The little house is actually not a "little" one; it is so sweetly built and has everything that one could need. From games for big and small, to a kitchen with old and new, to sleeping places for a few or many. And a drawer full of excursion tips for good and not so optimal weather. Schön ist auch die Lage - etwas abseits der "Straße" (wohl eher Sandweg) , von Bäumen / Wald umgeben, hat man sein Rückzugsörtchen ganz für sich. Der große Garten bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Ruhe, Entspannung aber auch Spiel und Aktion mit den Kindern.
Auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind innerhalb von 10 bis 15 Minuten Autofahrt in den Nachbarorten Aseda und Virserum gut erreichbar.
Wir haben die Lilla Skogstorp als Ausgangspunkt für viele Touren in die schöne Landschaft Smålands sowie Besuche der Astrid Lindgren Schauplätze (Katthult, Bullerbü) und Attraktionen (Filmbyn, Astrid Lindgren Värld) genutzt, was alles innerhalb von ca. 60-80 Minuten Autofahrt durch schöne Landschaften erreichbar ist.
Mit Thomas und Annette hatten wir sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter bei denen wir uns für die Bereitstellung dieser wunderbaren Unterkunft herzlich bedanken.
Wir durften Thomas aufgrund eines kleinen Problems persönlich kennenlernen. Er kam kurzerhand selbst vorbei und hat das"Problem" sofort gelöst. Das war für uns eine sehr sympathische Begegnung.
Die Treppe ins Obergeschoss ist tatsächlich ziemlich steil, wie auch aus der Beschreibung ersichtlich. Für Personen mit stärkeren Einschränkungen im Knie-/ Hüftbereich eher weniger zu empfehlen. Auch für Haustiere dürfte das schwierig sein.
Wir haben uns viel angesehen, von u. a. Växjö und Katthult bis nach Öland runter. Ein Elchpark durfte selbstverständlich nicht fehlen. Wir haben einen besucht, der eine Führung in deutscher Sprache anbietet.
Ein besonderes Highlight war die Sichtung eines Elches in freier Wildbahn, unweit der Unterkunft.
Ach ja, und die Entferungen sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Thomas sagte sinngemäß mit einem Augenzwinkern: eine Stunde Fahrzeit ist in Schweden eher eine Kurzstrecke.
Absolut empfehlenswert und für uns ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Gern wieder.
Die nächste kleine Stadt ist nur 10 Minuten entfernt und in der Umgebung gab es genug für uns zu erkunden. Wir waren über Weihnachten/Silvester da und hatten das Glück weiße Weihnacht zu haben. Trotz einigen Nachbarhäusern in der Straße war es sehr ruhig, selbst Silvester verlief ruhig. Uns hat es sehr gefallen.
Macht weiter so.
Es fehlt an nichts, und alles war wie beim ersten Mal sehr sauber und gepflegt.
Durch den vielen Schnee konnte man die Natur diesmal noch besser genießen.
Definitiv eine Reise wert!
Die Innenausstattung ist sehr großzügig mit allem was man von Zuhause gewohnt ist und vielem mehr.
Was es aber wirklich zu einem Traum macht ist die viele Liebe zum Detail bei der Inneneinrichtung. Hier hat jemand eingerichtet der selber dort gerne wohnen möchte. Ob bei schlechtem Wetter vor dem Holzofen oder bei schönem Wetter auf Gartenliegen auf der Wiese hier erlebt man eine tiefe innere Ruhe und Zufriedenheit.
Und wundern Sie sich nicht, wenn Sie in der Dämmerung Reh oder Hase im Garten antreffen.
Ob alleine, zu zweit oder mit Familie, wenn Sie vom Alltag dringend abschalten müssen, dann sind Sie hier am richtigen Ort.

Von Spiele für groß und klein, über eine Küche mit alt und neu zu Schlafplätzen für einige oder viele. Und eine Schublade voller Ausflugstipps für gutes und nicht ganz so optimales Wetter.
Hier fühlt sich jede/r wohl.

Ruhig gelegen und dennoch mit guter Verkehrsanbindung, in der Nähe von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für diverse Ausflüge.
Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern, welche sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend sind, war einfach, schnell und unkompliziert.
Wir können Lilla Skogstorp definitiv empfehlen und können uns gut vorstellen, dort erneut unseren Urlaub zu verbringen.
Das Ferienhaus bietet viel Platz, drinnen sowie draußen im Garten. Die Ausstattung ist super und man spürt in jeder Ecke die Liebe die dort hinein gesteckt wurde. Die Kids haben viel Platz zum toben, jede Menge Spiele und Bücher sind vorhanden.
Man kann abschalten, entspannen, wieder Kraft tanken. Lange Spaziergänge machen, Blaubeeren im Wald suchen, Abenteuer erleben.
Unser persönliches Highlight war die Skurugata Schlucht und der Trollstigen.
Das Ferienhaus ist einfach nur zu empfehlen und zwei Wochen waren vieeeeeel zu schnell um.
Alles ist neu renoviert und liebevol eingerichtet.
Sehr sauber und das haben wir auch manchmal leider anders erlebt in Schweden.
Nur einen Punkt: der Fernseher steht oben neben den Schlafbereich. (Offenes Raum)
Man kann nicht bequem sitzen in den Aussenmöbel die dort stehen.
Sehr nette Vermieter.
Wir und unser Hund hatten eine schöne Woche.

Unsere Highlights waren die Tour durch die "Kleva Gruva" und eine lange Tour mit der Draisine :). Fürs Baden war es leider zu kalt, allerdings haben wir trotzdem einige Stunden an den schönen Seen verbracht.
Für die Zukunft: Ein paar Fahrräder wären toll!
