Description
Welcome to our little Swedish spot in Småland. Our cottage, which used to be part of a larger farm, is situated a little out of the way at the end of a small country settlement called Kuttaboda. It is surrounded by forest and despite its convenient location, it is all to itself and somewhat hidden behind many trees. It's a great place to relax, unwind and listen to the forest. Or do some pretty crazy things, because - no one sees it.
It has been there for over a hundred years and is a cosy little house for its inhabitants. In the meantime, it has been freshly renovated, has its own modern water supply, a cosily converted attic and a brand-new extension with kitchen and bathroom.
Two stoves are ready for cosy fireside hours. In the kitchen oven, which can be heated with wood, you can also bake and cook like in the old days. Wood for the stoves or the barbecue is in the shed and may be used.
If you like it especially nostalgic, you are welcome to participate in the production of your own compost in the outdoor toilet. Our "Trissebude" invites you to experience self-discovery and let go of all excess with a direct view of the forest.
The courtyard between the house and the shed is a great place to relax, sunbathe, barbecue (if it's not too dry), drink coffee or play garden sports.

From Kuttaboda, the most popular adventure destinations in Småland are within easy reach. There are many lakes and a large river in the area, but also Astrid Lindgren's home, the glassblowing region, the sea, various parks and well-known larger towns such as Jönköping, Kalmar or Växjö can be reached in reasonable driving time. The surrounding area has numerous small offerings from artisans, flea markets and cafés. So if you want to be active, you can go on adventurous day trips
There is a secluded swimming spot 10 minutes' drive away at the nearest large lake, and another, more developed one in Åseda or in Näshult, about 15 minutes' drive away.
For grocery shopping, there are two small supermarkets in nearby Åseda. There are also several petrol stations and medical care there.

Upper floor: Large room with double bed (2x80/200) and film corner with SmartTV
INFO FOR DOG OWNERS For the accommodation of dogs the house and property is only conditionally suitable, therefore a detailed arrangement is in all interest. For example, there is a rather steep staircase to the upper floor with overlapping steps, which is provided with several holding options for humans, so it is not a problem for them, but it might be for dogs. The property is right next to the forest, which is home to wild animals that can also get onto the property. The fence all around is coarse-meshed and does not keep small dogs out. The driveway and a back exit into the forest are not closed. This is something to consider in advance if staying with a dog.
RESTRICTED PERIOD We can only offer bookings with dogs in the low season. During the high season (June, July, August) the change of tenants is often very tight in terms of time, but the house is more difficult to clean due to the animal hair. We can only guarantee the necessary thoroughness for subsequent guests in the low season through longer booking intervals.

Beautiful
Thank you very much for allowing us to be your guests. We found a very nicely located, very clean, and well-equipped house. Even everyday necessities were available and could be used (e.g., coffee, tea). Super nice hosts who also fulfilled some of our "special requests." The nearest small town is only 10 minutes away, and there was plenty for us to explore in the area. We were there over Christmas/New Year's and were lucky to have a white Christmas. Despite some neighboring houses on the street, it was very quiet, even New Year's Eve was calm. We really enjoyed it. Keep it up.

Winter Wonderland
This is already our second visit and we are once again thrilled by this wonderful cabin.
Nothing is missing, and everything was very clean and well-maintained, just like the first time.
Due to the abundant snow, we could enjoy nature even better this time.
Definitely worth a trip!

What a lovely place!
The little house is actually not a "little" one; it is so sweetly built and has everything that one could need. From games for big and small, to a kitchen with old and new, to sleeping places for a few or many. And a drawer full of excursion tips for good and not so optimal weather. Just like with Astrid Lindgren
If there had been another modern Astrid Lindgren film, this house would definitely have become the backdrop. In a large clearing in the woods, this Swedish house stands on a large meadow in a very beautiful, quiet location. Even when turning onto the road to the house, one must stop to take a photo.
The interior is very spacious with everything one is used to at home and much more. What truly makes it a dream is the great love for detail in the interior design. Here, someone has furnished it who would also like to live there. Whether in bad weather in front of the wood stove or in nice weather on garden loungers in the meadow, one experiences a deep inner peace and satisfaction here.
And don't be surprised if you encounter deer or hares in the garden at dusk. Whether alone, in pairs, or with family, if you urgently need to unwind from everyday life, then you are in the right place here.

Christmas vacation
An exceptionally beautiful and very clean holiday home with great attention to detail in a perfect location! Quietly situated yet with good transport links, close to shopping facilities and an ideal starting point for various excursions.
The contact with the landlords, who are very friendly and accommodating, was easy, quick, and uncomplicated.
We can definitely recommend Lilla Skogstorp and can easily imagine spending our holiday there again.
