The commune of Plouguerneau extends over several small villages to the east of the "Aber Wrach". The so-called "Aber" or "Aven" are small fjords that characterize a large part of the landscape in Finistere Nord. The highlight of this stretch of coast is undoubtedly the lighthouse on the "Ile Vierge", the highest masonry lighthouse in Europe.
