Space for up to 5 people (large bedroom with double bed and separate single bed 80 cm under slope, small bedroom with 2 single beds 80 cm), approx. 65 sqm living space, spacious living room with fireplace, satellite TV 32", DVD and music system, free WLAN connection, dining area, kitchen, shower room with WC, large terrace over the entire south side, approx. 400 sqm property surrounded by trees, meadow, flowering shrubs and wild roses. Roof-only house with 2 floors, parking space directly in front of hedge. The house was renovated in winter 2009 (new floors, new bathroom and kitchen) and tastefully refurbished in a light country house style.
Since 20 Sep. the house has a new heating system:
in the ground floor an ultra-modern, very economical infrared heating was installed in the form of heating panels on the wall, which are individually controlled via a thermostat. The room is heated within a very short time; if the temperature falls below the desired level, it is briefly reheated. These heat waves do not heat the air in the room, but generate heat directly where they hit; e.g. walls, people and other objects are heated, which in turn store the heat and gently release it into the environment. This creates a pleasant and even indoor climate without dust and air turbulence.
On the upper floor there is a natural stone heating system whose panels work similarly to the infrared heating system, but take a little longer to heat up, but store the heat over a certain period of time and slowly release it again.

The holiday home is located on the edge of a holiday park with roof-only houses on a gentle slope on the outskirts of the state-recognised health resort and herbal village of Nagel in the district of Wunsiedel, surrounded by meadows and woods.
It has a large garden with sunbathing lawn and large south-facing terrace; car parking space directly in front of the hedge. Pleasant, soothing low mountain range climate at an altitude between 580 and 650 m above sea level and wooded surroundings, surrounded by spruce forests, which directly adjoin the village and reach up to the central heights of the Fichtelgebirge: Schneeberg (1051 m), Ochsenkopf (1024 m), Hohe Matze (813 m) and Kösseine (939 m).
Popular hiking destinations are the four springs of the Fichtelgebirge: Main, Eger, Naab and Saale, or the romantic Gregnitztal valley. Numerous sports facilities in Nagel and the neighbouring communities provide variety.
The next largest towns are Wunsiedel (approx. 11 km away) with its inhabitants and the very picturesque town of Marktredwitz ( inhabitants), which you can reach by car in approx. 15 min.

Summer: Fishing, swimming in the Nagel natural lake, cycling, climbing forest (Bischofsgrün), mini golf (Fichtelberg), Nordic walking centre Luisenburg (Wunsiedel), horse riding (in Tröstau), swimming, gliding (Tröstau), Sailing (Weißenstädter See), summer toboggan run (Bischofsgrün), surfing (Weißenstädter See), tennis, trim trail (in Mehlmeisel), hiking (numerous, marked hiking trails), 18-hole golf course (Tröstau). Winter: Curling (Nageler See), cross-country skiing in the Kösseine area (cross-country trail entry in the Hohenbrand district) and around the Ochsenkopf, tobogganing, ice skating (Nageler See), skiing (numerous ski lifts in the immediate vicinity). Visit the many museums as well as concert events and festivals (Luisenburg) in the area and go on excursions.

Long-term renters are welcome, please ask for discounts ATTENTION: Over Easter we can only accept bookings until Easter Monday, as we do not have the facilities to clean the cottage for subsequent guests on the holiday. The same applies to the Christmas holidays. No arrival or departure is possible between the 23rd and 27th Deposit: 200 € will be paid with the booking contract and refunded within 10 days after departure if no damage is reported or found during your stay or at the time of departure. Final settlement on departure directly on site to the manager: - 50 EUR for cleaning and electricity according to consumption Our guests can use the internet free of charge. Vicinity of the holiday home: Die Ferienanlage ist ruhig und schön am See gelegen. Ausgangspunkt für schöne Wanderungen und Ausflugsziele. Zu empfehlen ist der Gasthof "Zum wilden Mann" und das nett eingerichtete Kaffee "Rosemarie"
free time activities: Freizeitmöglichkeiten gibt es viele, allerdings ist ein Auto sehr von Vorteil, da die Angebote etwas weiter entfernt sind.
shopping facilities: Es gibt in Nagel einen kleinen Einkaufsladen mit Bäckerei.
Für Edeka Lidl usw. muß man etwas weiter fahren z.B.nach Wunsiedel

Viele Möglichkeiten für Familien. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Leider hat das Wetter nicht mitgespielt.
shopping facilities: ....etwas eingeschränkt...weiter entfernt..wen man zu Aldi oder Lidel, Penny möchte.

all tip top! Just be careful with the heating costs, night storage heater can quickly become expensive. A cozy wood stove would save costs and complete the romance of the vacation! We are happy to recommend you!
