This inviting Frisian thatched-roof house promises relaxation and enjoyment, and the great thing is, it keeps its promise. We were able to experience it multiple times. Inside, a comfortable and tasteful decor with many small creative surprises, an equipment designed for well-being and in the right balance between aesthetics, practicality, and unobtrusive coziness. Particularly noteworthy: the original color scheme of the house, even in the bathroom. The kitchen offers everything one needs. The bedroom and living room have a warm aura and allow for retreat or sociability depending on the need. Wonderful from all windows is the view into the expanse of the typical North Frisian landscape, appealing in all seasons. An architectural special feature: the long kitchen window! The view extends endlessly over the fields to the horizon and lets the thoughts wander. Terrace and meadow invite enjoyment and relaxation in the midst of greenery. The holiday home can serve as a good starting point for excursions on foot, by bike, or by car, or inspire a stroll through the nearby Husum or Friedrichstadt or a trip to the North Sea. All in all: highly recommended!

The thatched house promises Frisian tradition and history from the outside, and it fulfills this promise inside in a pleasantly modern way. The owners or landlords have succeeded in combining the history of the thatched house with all the amenities of the present. In the lovingly furnished rooms, which left no wishes unfulfilled, we felt comfortable from the first to the last moment. Those who love the North German landscape are exactly right in Koldenbüttel. In the midst of greenery, far from hustle and bustle. But also not so far from the action that there is nothing to experience except for the landscape. Friedrichstadt and Husum are right at the doorstep, and Dagebüll as a ferry port for excursions to the islands of Föhr or Amrum or the Halligen can be reached in a reasonable time. We were at the thatched house in winter and will definitely visit it again in summer. Because it is very spacious, the outdoor area with terrace and large garden is very extensive, it would certainly also be suitable for a vacation with several people and/or children. Overall: Unreservedly recommended.

The beautiful holiday cottage is really well equipped, especially the kitchen, so you can enjoy dinner on the terrace and let your gaze wander into the distance. The house is furnished and renovated with attention to detail. For those seeking relaxation, it's the right place to find peace away from the stressful everyday life. St. St. Peter Ording, Husum, and Friedrichstadt are easily accessible, so a city stroll, beach visit, or a cozy café or restaurant can be reached quickly. Particularly great is the large dog beach in St. Peter Ording. Here, the four-legged friends also get their money's worth. Particularly commendable is the team from "Ferien an der Nordsee." Whether by email or phone, one receives prompt information, and assistance is provided with advice and support. Here, one still has the feeling that it's not just about renting and leasing a vacation home, but that the customer should be happy and satisfied. The house and the surroundings were exactly what my husband and I needed to relax! Just a small suggestion for improvement: A mirror should be installed at the exit, as the view of the road is very restricted by the hedge. Otherwise, we felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

Despite the hot temperatures, it was pleasantly cool in the house. The house has been lovingly renovated, and you can take beautiful bike rides from there or relax in the garden. Only our son would like more data volume for the Wi-Fi or a second television.

The reedhus is a beautiful accommodation with everything needed for a relaxing vacation. The house is located in a quiet area outside the village of Koldenbütte. It offers a great starting point for exploring the surrounding places and the magnificent beaches of the North Sea. The property provides plenty of space outdoors. We would use the reedhus as a holiday accommodation again. We felt completely comfortable from the first hour. Unfortunately, we were only in the reedhus for two weeks. Note: possibly fly protection on the window and terrace door.

Also, the cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, was unfortunately not as we would have wished. We spent a week here with three generations, my parents, my son, and me. The house is located outside a beautiful village. Shopping options are about three kilometers away at a roundabout with three supermarkets and a bakery. Friedrichstadt is not far away and many other places are easily reachable by car! The house is beautifully renovated and is located directly on a road that is hardly trafficked, and the train, which is in close proximity, is hardly heard at all. One has a lovely view over fields, and every evening one can observe deer. The bedroom on the upper floor has no door, so late risers should use the very spacious bedroom on the ground floor. I can highly recommend this house!

It's true: Although the road and the train tracks pass close to the house, you can't hear anything inside. The house has good amenities. And together with our two Chis, we quickly settled in. Nearby, you can take a nice long walk with your four-legged friend on a nature trail. Cycling tours are also easily possible from this location, and shopping options are conveniently reachable by bike in a few minutes. We have already been to this accommodation for the second time and can and want to absolutely recommend it. The location is dreamy, the level crossing is not disturbing at all. The property is super beautiful and especially with a dog, an absolute recommendation. The house is well-maintained and very well equipped. The shopping options in Friedrichstadt are very quickly accessible. The nearby cafe tugut is also worth a visit, excellent cake. Together with the good service from the team Holidays at the North Sea, it's almost a guarantee for a relaxing break, even if the weather doesn't cooperate. We will definitely come back.

Pros: A lovingly furnished holiday home. Everything you need is there. The area is great for relaxing, and the train track in front of the house is hardly noticeable. The people there are super friendly. Cons: The ant problem can be reduced by sealing the holes under the right windowsill, as that’s where they come out. There is also a spot in the bathroom entrance on the left, but it was too dark to see where they come from. It is an old house, and we managed with it. We had a great week, we would have appreciated a small welcome gift, a piccolo for the upcoming New Year ;) Cleanliness was okay, but can be improved, quite a lot of cobwebs and dead insects.. otherwise a super nice holiday home.. oh yes.. we only discovered the spatula and other utensils in the bread basket one day before departure, a small hint would be helpful. A very nice property to relax completely, even with children. Due to the secluded location and the large meadow, you have the opportunity to let off steam undisturbed. The view into the distance can be enjoyed in all directions, especially from the sheltered terrace. The house is very tastefully furnished with many lovingly selected details. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired. All eventualities have been thought of. Here you can feel good all around, relax or go to Husum, Friedrichstadt or directly to the sea, for example, not far away.

It offers a brilliant starting point for exploring the neighbouring villages and the magnificent beaches of the North Sea. The concern offers a lot of space outside. We would use the reedhus again as holiday accommodation. We felt completely at home from the very first hour. Unfortunately, we only stayed at the reedhus for a fortnight. Note: maybe fly screens on the parlour window and patio door.
