This inviting villa on Strada Comunale di Montelopio offers a comfortable and spacious stay in the Tuscan countryside. The arrival was good, despite the self check in. The accommodation is as in the pictures, so well. The surroundings were ok, but nothing more. Shame about the privatized beaches, but the owner can not help that.

The location of this apartment is great, hidden in nature but not too far from the city center. Everything was clean, and the amenities were just right for a couple. We especially loved the outdoor area for dining al fresco.

It was fantastic! Far above our expectations! Arrival was just as exciting because of the first time the dirt road but the welcome was great! Piero and his wife were waiting for us and immediately did a tour of the grounds. The rest of the week he occasionally brought a fresh espresso or a glass of cold white wine from his own production. After we decided to go to Livorno (where the family comes from) for a day, Piero gave the number of his son who gave us a tour of Livorno and arranged everything. This hospitality has made our holiday a huge success and we will definitely be back. The agritourismo is beautiful with a nice swimming pool and relaxing nature. It is located in the middle of the Tuscan hills and therefore has a beautiful view on all sides. Route: do not always follow the tomtom. Drive to Fabbrica, then on to Montelopio and on that road you will see the sign Il Gattero on the right-hand side. You take this road and after 2-3 km of dirt road you are there (note the house numbers, we were stopped too early the first time).

Very nice location with nice owners, who do everything to make you feel comfortable. The Tuscan dinner and pizza evening are recommended! We will definitely come back here. Please note that you drive to the location via Fabricca, and not via the other side. The last part is unpaved and that is fine to do, provided you take the right path. We did not know this and we suffered damage due to the many holes in the road. Fortunately the owners have helped us with finding a suitable (and cheap) garage.

We had a great time at Massimo and his family! They are very warm, friendly people who want to help you with everything. The location is top notch, you're in the mountains in a beautiful, secluded spot with a nice view, but you can drive to enough towns and places to do things without being too long. We have Monday with the Tuscan dinner and that is also a must! Furthermore, the pool top, the apartments are nice and cozy and there is just a good atmosphere. Note the holiday home is called Il Gattero. That is not mentioned anywhere here, so you are looking for a rotten spot, but after turning off at an inieminie street sign with the numbers "40 t / m 48" you have to follow the Il Gattero signs for at least 10 minutes on a dirt road. by itself. )
