This place is a gem! The combination of nature and local culture made our vacation unforgettable. We had a great time visiting the medieval castles nearby and relaxing in the garden.

This accommodation is very convenient for families. The open kitchen and the living/sleeping area made it easy to keep an eye on the children while preparing meals. The refrigerator with freezer and the dishwasher were an added advantage for our longer stay.

The vacation house was exactly as described: cozy and charming. We enjoyed the proximity to hiking trails and charming villages. It was a bit old-fashioned, but that added to the rustic charm. Overall, a good experience.

A warm welcome from Francine, the owners' daughter, the house is ideal for exploring the region, typically Alsatian, flowered like in the 70s, and we loved the porch for eating outside. A week with temperatures of 30°, the garage for the car was greatly appreciated. We will return, that's for sure, and thanks to Francine for her attentions.

We had a lovely stay at the cozy vacation house in Schleithal! The garden was a highlight for our children, who loved the playground and the sandpit. It was a perfect place for family meals outdoors, especially with the barbecue facilities. The house itself was charmingly decorated and had all the essential elements we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed exploring the nearby villages, and the provided bicycles were a great bonus! Wiessembourg is a nice place (like eg. Hagenou) You have to make some mileage because in Schleithal is not an awful lot to do.

A nice sheltered/covered piece of garden next to the house, where it is pleasant even if a few drops fall. The simple dwelling is a half-timbered house in Alsatian style. In the vicinity, there are many ribbon villages with half-timbered houses. There are beautiful wine routes to follow. Germany is literally a stone's throw away. Great reception with a local bundt cake.

We received a warm welcome with a bottle of wine from the region, by the homeowner and her daughter. The house is very attractive and fully furnished. The garden is spacious and there is covered seating. There are bicycles and various children's bicycles available. We have received many tips that are interesting to visit in the area. The house and garden were clean and tidy on arrival. The homeowners came daily to irrigate the garden and look after the sheep, but this was usually very early in the morning. We have not experienced this as annoying. In the village there is a baker who also sells some other things and an extensive butcher. Both very good quality. Several supermarkets are available at a short distance. It was quiet, friendly people in the village. There are two restaurants in the village.

The village is very elongated and mainly built along the main street. Not many shops there, but small but good butcher / delicatessen / greengrocer and bakery. Beautiful area with picturesque villages. Many opportunities for trips by car, bicycle (number available) and for hiking. Wissembourg is 10 km away and is well worth a visit not only from a historical point of view, but also thanks to many restaurants and shops.
