This place is a gem! It is quiet and surrounded by nature, but just a short drive from the city center where we found some great restaurants.

At first glance, this seemed like a good choice until we actually arrived. We quickly noticed that we would have to take a serious step back from what we were used to at home. It started when we went to heat up the meal for our family in the microwave. It turned out that the thing had issues and decided for itself when to turn off. Well, by unplugging it and plugging it back in, we could manage our plan. The next thing that stood out was that the "thermostat" was set to 21° degrees, but it was still very cold throughout the house. When we looked closer, we saw extra electric heating in every room. So we had no choice but to turn on those little fires everywhere if we wanted it to be a bit more comfortably warm. (Result in 6 days: 200 kwh consumption, and we were often not in the house). The next problem arose when one of our children spilled something and we looked to clean it up. Throughout the entire little house, only a bucket with a brush and a regular brush could be found. No mop, no vacuum cleaner... when we turned on the tap in the kitchen, we only had boiling hot water; the cold tap didn't work. When I looked at the problem under the sink, the issue was a serious leak when I opened the pipe. As a result, no cold water in the kitchen and no dishwasher. For my smaller children, this was not a safe house either; the playroom is located downstairs where there was plenty of toys available, but where you have to set 3 very warm fires to make that place somewhat playable and could only be reached by a very steep staircase from where the living area was. However, we also immediately discovered that if there was talking or walking in the living area, you could hear everything perfectly in the lower sleeping area. This, however, caused quite a few quiet evenings to avoid waking the kids. (including not using the toilets, not turning the TV up too loud, keeping the phone silent, etc.). About the TV, an older small model without start functions and only an old DVD player connected to it. Fortunately, there was a choice of many DVDs (albeit from 25 years ago, but that made it fun again). For the phone, WiFi is provided, but you can't do much with it. The digital newspaper struggled to load, and watching videos was completely out of the question. (Unfortunately, the 4g/5g network up there on the mountain is not good, which left few options). For the older kids, there is a separate sleeping/play area where a PS2 (you read that right) was available. With enough games, they can have their fun on a drearier day. Overall, a cool little house if you're okay with taking a step back. If we book again: we first look at other houses and only book Venus 4 as a backup solution. Note: large cars (V-class Mercedes) cannot get onto the driveway without scratching due to the narrow driveway. (Bushes on the left, pole on the right)

Bedding and mattresses were dirty. Kitchen appliances were also really dirty and not clean. In terms of material, okay, but not clean. The photo on the site was something different.
