A week before departure, we received a welcome email from the owner of the cottage, with information and asking us to message her an hour before arrival. Because she would then wait for us at the cottage to show us the key and the inside of the cottage. She had already prepared 4 nice cold beers for us with beautiful glasses. Super cool! We have never had such a clean cottage, and everything was present. The beds were wonderful, and the sanitary facilities were really super clean and modern. The kitchen was equipped with all conveniences including a dishwasher. Her husband completely renovated the cottage himself in the past and maintains it super well. Really beautifully done, a lot of wood! The cottage is the last in a row of four identical ones. It is really very quiet here and hardly anyone passes by, yet you are not far from the village. You can take wonderful walks there and there are many castles, rivers, and caves to be found in the area. In the morning, you can sit wonderfully on the veranda and enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning sun. We were there with 4 people and returned home well-rested. Beautiful bathroom, complete kitchen, and the house is furnished with care. Everything made of wood is handmade, the owner is a real craftsman. We enjoyed all the handmade wooden objects, from lamps to decorations, it shows true craftsmanship. The house is the last in a row of 4, but we absolutely did not have any trouble with that; the other houses were only occupied for 1 or 2 days. From the house, you can take beautiful walks with stunning views, and there are also well-marked hiking trails in the immediate area. Plenty of wildlife to spot, even around the house. Restaurant Ardelle in Rochefort made the vacation complete culinary-wise.

Fine reception in a warm chalet with a local beer. The chalet was really clean. A beautiful Christmas tree and a scented candle immediately put us in the mood. Everything is there to toast. Only a mixer is missing. Good beds, good heater, and pleasant warmth. The location was excellent for us. The wonderful tranquility, beautiful walks nearby, inspiring cultural activities in the area. Highly recommended for nature lovers with an eye for silence. We can imagine that a family with small children should pay extra attention to the stairs outside, the high terrace and the slopes (the garden is open).
