Too bad about the narrow double beds and thin mattresses (especially upstairs), because this cottage has a lot to offer: fantastic playroom and wellness area, large garden, well-equipped kitchen. A walking map of the area would complete the picture. A great added value is the neighbor who ensures a fantastic welcome and is always available. We will definitely come back here!

We felt very comfortable! We enjoyed all the special features/amenities of the house very much! There were many activities for the children. The kitchen is very well equipped and the house is very clean. The place is idyllic, surrounded by beautiful nature, far from tourism. Having coffee in the morning on the terrace with the colorful birds chirping is a dream! Pure relaxation!

The house met expectations. The petanque court is marshy in some places and maintenance is needed. Arcade cabinet, as in the photos, not present.

We stayed as a family with three children for a week in the cottage and had a great week! A big plus is the basement level with playroom and wellness (sauna and jacuzzi). This space can only be accessed from the outside, but we found the fresh air when coming out of the sauna quite pleasant. The bathroom on the ground floor is also well done. The rest of the cottage is simple, dated, and lacks some atmosphere. The cleaning was decent, but we have definitely experienced better. Furthermore, it is very noisy. In combination with creaking (single) beds, this made us let our youngest son sleep on a mattress on the floor after the first night. The house is a semi-detached house. You only have half of the house in the photo. By the way, the other half is not occupied during the rental period. For those who want to use the wood stove: contrary to what the advertisement states, the wood must be purchased by the guests themselves. For heating, burning is not necessary. The central heating works sufficiently. Considering price/quality, all in all a sufficient rating for the house itself. The surroundings are very beautiful and quiet. A good base for walks.

We had a really nice time in the little house with the four of us. The entertainment room downstairs also met our expectations. There is plenty to keep you entertained both inside and around the house. In nice weather, you can enjoy eating on the spacious balcony. You are in a quiet environment with greenery around you. A couple of things we liked less are the stairs and the sanitary facilities. The stairs in the house are quite steep, and there is only one toilet downstairs. So if you need to go to the toilet at night, it's a challenge. The toilet did not look very fresh and the toilet seat was loose. All in all, we enjoyed the cottage and the surroundings. Did a lot and saw a lot.

We had a really good time in the house. It is not particularly big, but it was a good fit for 6 people. Basically, there are two areas. The first area is the ground floor with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom, and the upper floor with three more bedrooms. The bathroom on the ground floor is new and big.
The second area is in the basement. This can only be reached via an outside address, which is annoying in bad weather. There is a great lounge and party room with a toilet, the sauna and the whirlpool. The garden is also connected to it, which unfortunately slopes very steeply and is dark, so you can't do much here.
The house is well equipped and there was a nice welcome.
The sauna and the whirlpool are in a great location and really invite you to use them. Unfortunately, the toilet can only be used to a limited extent.
The stairs to the upper floor are very steep and difficult to use. We didn't sleep very well in the beds. There is a neighbor who is very sensitive to noise and quickly calls the police. There is only one real bathroom, which is rather little for up to 8 people.

We had a very nice week with our children and grandchildren in the holiday home in Masbourg. The warm welcome on behalf of the owner was very pleasant as well as the help as needed during our stay. The house is located in a wonderfully quiet area. Unfortunately no cafe or restaurant nearby. From the house we made beautiful walks in the woods. We enjoyed the perfectly "cleaned" jacuzzi, the hilarious cable car, the pool table that could be transformed into a table tennis table in the blink of an eye. The bathroom is somewhat dated but fine for such "n few days. The living room is not very large but for our party (6 people) certainly sufficient. It was a wonderful week. Only downside is that the house is very noisy.

A lovely house in a small town in Belgium. Absolutely beautiful to visit in winter. Generous and helpful owners who are responsive. There is a range of cooking pots and pans for your needs. The bathroom was newly remodeled and was a great addition to the already stunning house. A separate area for your wellness/entertainment equipped with an air hockey, pool and ping pong table all-in-one, as well as a sauna and a well cleaned jacuzzi, which we enjoyed quite often. There is a tree house complete with zipline for the kids to enjoy. Hope to visit again!

A lovely quiet house with lots of privacy, in the immediate vicinity of many activities (caves - walks - canoe trips - beautiful villages). The house alone offered a lot of fun for our family with three growing teenagers (pool - bowling - jacuzzi). Fine that everyone has their own room, but 6 people is also maximum for this huis.Bij lack of clarity there was quick contact with the homeowners. Very nice that we have met them both on arrival and on departure. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday.

Good: friendly, trusting hostess, had contact via SMS. Bathroom was nicely renovated. Terrace with dining table is nice (maybe a bit decorated). Cava & chips on receipt. Many trees around and in the garden. Pleasant facilities: sauna, pool, games. Dutch channels (1,2,3) on TV. Walking in nature from the cottage possible. Many kitchen utensils available (note: no cheese slicer).

Less good: dark, somewhat small living room. Fridge not completely clean. Sewage air, especially in the downstairs bedroom, can be smelled well. No lock on the bathroom. 1 bathroom and 1 toilet (on the ground floor) for 8 people is little (the other shower can be reached with a steep staircase from the outside in the basement and offers no privacy due to the open space, the toilet in the basement is far and is only for "little errands") "). Very noisy bedrooms and therefore less privacy. Having to vacuum yourself when you leave is not pleasant, but it was caused by guests who left it very dirty, I understood. Benches do not seat 8 (adults/youth). Narrow 2-person beds (not 1.60 mtr, as I had received, but 1.40 mtr).

All in all: for a group that is not too large - without too small children - quite okay!

It is a house with many nice features, but too many disadvantages for us to come back again.

What we liked:

- Enough space, four bedrooms and spacious both inside and outside

- Kitchen with plenty of crockery, cutlery and pans. All you need

- Games room and jacuzzi / sauna are very pleasant and the space is very nicely made

- Parking on site

Which we didn't like

- Stairs inside and outside are very steep and dangerous and there are no stair gates. Not suitable for small children or the elderly

- Garden and games room/jacuzzi/sauna are not attached to the house. So you have to go down a steep staircase from the outside to get here. As a result, it is again not very suitable for smaller children, and the use of the sauna and jacuzzi is so very inconvenient

- House was superficially cleaned, but under the furniture and beds there was a lot of dust, dirty tissues and a piece of glass. In the bathroom there was still a toothbrush from the previous guests.

- We have seen the manager 1x. When I indicated that the house was not properly cleaned and that the hatch to the back could no longer be opened (so that we could not use the terrace) I was not heard. After more than a day a short message that she was ill. Can happen, but you expect an owner to have backup for his manager in such a case. Now we had to clean the house ourselves because we were with a crawling baby and we were unable to use the terrace

In short: for people with older children who are still able to walk, it is a nice house, but the service level also needs to be raised a notch.

We had a very good time in the house. It even looks better than in the photos, because they are apparently continuously improving it. We were not really lucky with the weather and you are happy that you can do everything in and around the house. We We only made one trip and otherwise had a great time in the house. The children loved the cable car anyway and a recreation room with a bowling arcade cabinet, the air hockey/pool table combination and a 55-inch TV where they could watch YouTube was absolutely great. This recreation room is downstairs and only accessible from the outside, which seemed like a downside, but in retrospect it is not. You can easily separate rest and recreation. And if you want to use the sauna or jacuzzi, you have more than enough space to relax. to dress and have a wonderful shower. I think the fact that the children wanted to continue living here is the biggest compliment for the landlord.

The house was easy to find. The owner chatted that we had arrived, she speaks Dutch. The house feels pleasant, immediately feels good. We quickly got used to it. Had a tour. Information about jacuzzi was a bit sumptuous, later still talked to the owner about some things. Otherwise good. Beds were all creaky, but it is always different from home. We missed some small (important to us) things in the house. Separating waste is also one thing in Belgium, tricky though! We also enjoyed peace and space, and wonderful luxury with the jacuzzi and play area.

Prima vacation home. Very welcome reception by the homeowner who lives two houses away. Many nice people, we could call if we needed anything else. Spacious garden behind the house. Both front and rear of the house a terrace table so with nice weather you are always well. Cottage has basic rooms, but the beds are good and plenty of space. House itself had nice amenities like dishwasher, bbq. With friends I enjoyed a great mtb weekend, with this cottage as a great base. Rochefort can be reached by bike on a reasonable level, but there is also a very nice GPS route along the house. We could still use the cottage on Monday, as the next midweek had not been rented. Good service!

Nice house good bed looked neat. It was well equipped. Even received a welcome drink. We were very friendly and she spoke Dutch and thought along with us. Got a tour and explained everything. We are very pleased with the recreation room downstairs with the jacuzzi and play table here we spent some hours. The hostess was easily accessible and helpful and the owner was also easily accessible. Spacious garden and many games. Wifi available and really worked. In short, we had a wonderful week and will definitely go back again.
