As can be read in previous reviews, the house is somewhat tired and incredibly poorly laid out;

Indeed, only 4 of the 8 induction hobs work and in a kitchen for such a large group there is also no extractor hood. 2 toilets are also on the small side when fully occupied, but 5 showers are great. We were unlucky with the weather at the end of May, so the oil heating worked continuously (the burner makes quite a lot of noise) and we also regularly lit the fireplace to make the chilly house (of course a great place to stay during a heat wave) a bit more pleasant. In the upstairs bedroom with 4 beds, all bedside lamps were defective and here and there there are lamps that have given up the ghost (for a long time). It is indeed impossible to remember how to operate the lights here and there with the abundance of light switches.

The garden (unfortunately very little use) and the location are major advantages of this house. We paid approximately €300 for water, electricity, oil and.... wood blocks for a week's stay with approximately 55 overnight stays (different occupancy in WE than during the week). The host (father of the owner) is quite friendly if you speak French and will check the meter readings with you at the beginning and end of your stay so that you immediately know what your bill will be. That was done very correctly!

A very nice house with lots of spaces and a playful layout. We were here with 8 small children and they have great fun. The jacuzzi is very nice, even though not all beams work well. Also with us the fire alarm was triggered at night without any reason, something may be done about it. Furthermore, a beautiful, complete house with spacious bedrooms. The host is friendly and gives a good tour at the beginning. At cleaning costs, costs for electricity, gas, water and wood (for the beautiful fireplace) we were in a week in the winter about 400 euros lost. Large house, beautifully situated with plenty of space around. However, the kitchen was dirty, we removed the cobwebs in the kitchen ourselves; 2 burners did not work and the pans were dirty. Arrival and departure at our convenience, excellent welcome! The house is well equipped for 14 people (dishes, glasses, equipment, pots etc.), it has character and is full of nooks and crannies to keep everyone occupied! The +: billiards, jacuzzi, lounge with wood fire, space, excellent Wi-Fi connection, walks, small grocery store a few hundred meters away (order your croissants and pains au chocolat from breakfast !). In early May a wonderful midweek spent with children and grandchildren in La Gentilhommiere in Weris. Friendly welcome and introduction. The house is in a beautiful location with a beautiful super large garden. The asking price for the cottage was very attractive. The domain and the house itself were beautiful and quiet. There were only some negatives-There was no cough before we arrived (certainly not vacuumed and weighed). We have spent a wonderful 2 weeks in the summer holidays in this house! The owner who you receive unfortunately only speaks French, but was already waiting for us at the attached house. I don't expect shiny walls and that doesn't match the atmosphere of this old building at all. It was really clean enough for us, we never had the idea that we were in a dingy holiday home. The garden is huge and so is the roof in the garden where you can sit in the shade. During our stay we have been here alternately with 4 to 12 people and it always felt spacious, with plenty of opportunities to retreat. What we did regret is that the billiard table (not a pool table, be aware of that) is not heated. As a result, the table does not run great. However, that has not stopped us from playing billiards every night. Neat choice and balls are present. We had such a good time that we are considering booking this house again next year. We are a week with 12 people late 20 been in this house. Super nice week had and we have entertained us well. Cozy cozy cottage, just some things do require some maintenance, and what would be better cleaned. We made great use of the fireplace, foosball and billiards. The sauna and jacuzzi was disappointing, space does not smell so fresh. Location of the house is right on the edge, nice and quiet and good for people who like to walk. Within walking distance is not much special, no (decent) restaurants, pubs or something. 10 min by car you are at the supermarket and 15 minutes from Durbuy. Homeowner was a nice man, spoke only French. You could have contact with his son who speaks some Dutch. Energy costs were high, around 450 euros for a week in the winter. The house is beautiful, but the house itself is to be restored to. We were with 8 people to guest. The house is situated right on the edge and is therefore ideal for hikers. The interiors leaves nothing to be desired, the cinema is great, jacuzzi and sauna are also vorhanden.Sehr have liked us the Porch and the huge garden. The Vernieter was extremely hospitable and friendly. We would come back again definitely.

house is spacious and located close to hiking. minus three bedrooms on the ground floor and no toilet. Rooms are also clammy by the presence of jaccuzie and sauna on the same floor.

The house is beautiful, but the house itself is to be restored to. An extractor fan in the kitchen should not be a luxury and two toilets for 14 people, we found a little bit of the fireplace we have fired the first night, but draws the chimney of a meter, in no time the whole house was under the smoke, whatever is dangerous because of suffocation. The next evening we have the central open put what cost us 110 euros on fuel. There is so much more to this beautiful home because it is very unfortunate as it looks now.

Nice setting, nice house. However, little kitchen tools and not very clean. Jacuzzi and sauna very nice. Delicious field outside with own driveway. You can take lovely walks from the house. Fun things around (Durbuy, Hotton Grottoes was also highly recommended). Best high additional costs for electricity, clean water (for filling bath). In total it was 193 euros extra things!!

Nice house with nice decor. Fireplace does not draw properly, and the house was not very clean. But that did not dampen allowed the fun. The setting is very nice and the owner very aardig.Voor repeating!

We were the Easter weekend with children and grandchildren on the spot. Thanks to the bright sunshine and the beautiful park surrounding the house and the excellent house is better than expected, 100% recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy nature, the silence and the historic area of u200bu200bWéris. Top location. And very friendly owner.

A very special home with anything to discover. Only at the end of the weekend you have all the corridors and steps through. Any time you're bored. Also a large outdoor playground fun. We have a very nice weekend our family lived in and around this house.

Many complaints we did not have the cottage, it was fairly clean (the shower 's after all this might have seemed a thought) and certainly nice location and accommodation. Definitely recommended, though a renovation of the bathroom this cottage 2 stars give extra!
