The Enchanting Castle in Bastogne was nothing less than charming! Our family of 10 felt at home in this beautifully maintained 17th-century castle. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and we especially loved the bubble bath after a long day exploring the Ardennes. The kids had fun playing in the garden and on the tennis court while we enjoyed a glass of wine on the terrace. Beautiful authentic building, Nuts Castle in Bastogne, fully equipped. We had a great time, but it should be mentioned that the weather certainly played a role. The manager speaks French but is correct and easily accessible for any questions, in short, everything was well arranged and definitely recommended.

I celebrated my birthday with family and friends. It was a unique atmosphere in and around this beautiful building. Lovingly decorated and surrounded by great parks, an idyllic frog pond there was a lot of exercise and fun for 10 adults and 8 children. Besides scavenger hunt and Tennis there were opportunities to play football, Frisbee or bocce. We felt like kings in France. Dinner was grilled and even the raindrops could us thanks to the covered lounge area with fireplace harm. We recommend!

The accommodation was very good and the area is very nice for walking. Bastogne is a very interesting town to visit. The accommodation has a home cinema installation to watch a movie with a large group. A small improvement point is to provide more comfortable seats in that corner. We had Nuts Castle with 9 adults and 6 children occupied. Nuts Castle is located in a peaceful park grounds and looks outwardly from beautiful and romantic. Unfortunately a motorway junction was built directly on the land, so that one always hears a noise. The object is for groups who want to relax in nature, but suitable in any case. Unfortunately we found the rented premises only swept but not cleaned thoroughly before. Both refrigerators and kitchen surfaces were filthy and sticky. The refrigerators we first had to thoroughly clean. The bathrooms were mopped only superficially. In the toothbrush cups we found dead flies and spiders eggs. Pretty disgusting. In a bathroom was missing a light bulb in one of two mirror lamps. We bought in the supermarket a new. However, we could not turn into the socket it because of the foot of the predecessor bulb still in the socket. Since we did not have needle-nose pliers, one we could not repair the air. This past Easter weekend was here with 7 adults and 5 children (1 / 11 years). It was delicious! Many use the home theater, games done at the big table and walked / cycling (mountain bike), and children played in the garden. The living room and kitchen are spacious enough. Kitchen very well equipped. Downstairs is also neat and cozy but downstairs is really only slept and used the 2nd fridge. Seems to me to be ideal if you are with older children. On one of the children's bedroom was a large blackboard with chalk. Our girls have played with a lot! Next to the kitchen was an extra table with stools where children have tinkered with, etc. The beds slept well. Single & quotnadeel "was that there was only one real shower. Furthermore, many bathrooms (one with bath, you could take a shower). For us this was no problem. The owner was on vacation and went communication via a friendly French lady. If there were problems with the language, I could call the owner (who also spoke NL) but that is not necessary. "Nuts Castle" is a unique location, both for families with children (children's rooms and super nice home cinema), as a group of friends (like us) including fans of the history of WW II. Our weekend was part fully in the theme of World War II and through the story of Nuts Castle even our residence an interpretation on the theme. The castle is situated not far from the center of Bastogne, and it is also easy to explore the area (walking, running, biking, ...). The rooms are very stylish, clean, equipped with everything. Also, there is a spacious living room with a nice fireplace, a grand piano (for the music), home cinema and kitchen (where everything was available even extra accessories such as herbs and oil as you would have forgotten something). Given our large group, we had available both floors, and thus also a second kitchen (easy when you have to cook for many people) .We are very readily received by the concierge and also before and afterwards contacted by the owner himself to us as well possible to inform and ask direct feedback. In general, therefore, a very positive experience, SURE repeating!

Arrival can only be after 16 o'clock, which is not practical because of food, better from 16 o'clock. Friendly welcome with good explanation. Beautiful castle in a nice quiet area. The castle is located along a highway, but you do not have much bother. The house is in style of World War II in Bastogne. There is a lot of information in the house about the war. There are many details that have a link with World War II and America. In the garden you can make a nice walk through the path to follow. Communication with the owner went very well via text messages. She speaks only French, so it may well be difficult. During our stay we were going to see more and more defects of the stay. Which we have described below. It is only 2.5 km drive to the center of Bastogne. At 10 minutes drive you car in Luxembourg. Very nice ride. Also you can go to a ski resort about 30 km away from the castle.

In the cottage of the magnificent Castle Nuts are we late October a week with family on vacation. There were both young and older kids. Week of rest in nature. Lot of sports on the large lawn benefits immensely door, on the tennis court and swimming in the pond. Huts built environment and explored. Fantastic response of the owner to small imperfections.
