Upon arrival, there was no one at all (the owner lives in Brussels). When we called, we were told that the key was in the door and we could just go inside. Bed and bath linen could be arranged on site, so that didn't work either. Fortunately, we had those with us. The cottage was fine in itself, the wifi was very poor, and the TV worked, but the satellite did not, in other words, you couldn't see anything because there was no signal. The shower had a nice powerful spray. Cutlery, plates, and pans are more than sufficient. In the bedrooms, it could be a bit darker so that you’re not awake at the first ray of sunshine. Outside, it’s a faded glory: the parasol is broken, the trampoline is missing springs, and the protective edge is completely worn out. The jacuzzi also looked quite forlorn. The garden chairs weren't great either; one was already broken, and the rest were completely weathered, causing the plastic to crumble. Fortunately, we didn't sink through. (Belvilla award 2023 seems incorrect to us). Furthermore, a wonderfully quiet environment, there is really nothing nearby. In the nearby village of Schönberg, there is a small village shop that has almost everything. Unfortunately, the two restaurant/cafés are rarely open. From there, we made beautiful walks (booklets available at the information boards in the village square). We were lucky with the weather, so we were able to walk nicely and we certainly had a good holiday.

Beautiful surroundings with sheep, deer, and rabbits in the garden. There is also a slide and sandbox. The cottage was cozy and the chairs were comfortable.

Nice house in a beautiful area. Especially for children it is very nice because of the garden with play equipment and the animals. The cottage is somewhat outdated but fine for a week. Only the lack of (good) blinds was annoying. Because of the many windows and the high temperatures we had, it gets very warm inside.

Very nicely located apartment. Ideal for hikers and sporty cyclists. FeWo has a lot of light and is well equipped. From the bed you can see a herd of cows running. Small improvements would add to the experience: a holder on which you can hang shower towels to dry, a quick look into the toilet cistern, the bell seal may no longer be good. A hotplate no longer works ... but all small things that don't spoil the fun ... will probably come back soon.

We were neatly made familiar with the house by the manager. It was clean there. We had a wonderful holiday week, partly due to the beautiful weather. It is a fantastic area for walking, near the cottage, but also a little further away. A booklet from the tourist office in Sankt Vith has shown us beautiful walks. When we returned to the house we could sit in the garden. What a rest!

The environment is beautiful! And we have been able to relax. We did get a different picture of the accommodation than it really was. According to the owner, the village was within walking distance, but the route was not so safe with our little children. That's why we had to do everything by car. The presence of farm animals also meant that we had to keep an eye on the children. The jacuzzi is not really that fresh and the farm has a lot of flies.

When we arrived, it was terribly cold (I'm guessing about 12 degrees Celsius). It would have been nice if the heating had been on for several hours. But it was not solved by turning on the chauffages, it remained terribly cold. After a few times to inquire with the owner, it turned out that the other holiday home was also rented out and could not follow the boiler to heat 3 houses (a stingy boiler). Too bad we had to take the initiative ourselves and ask for an electric fire (after a while with the electric hobs on). The 2nd it was a bit better there. The 3rd day it was finally warm. The location made up for it. The house itself was not bad, but could be freshened up.

The road to the house was slightly more difficult because we ended up at a different location, further down the street, via the GPS. After some searching, we finally found the house, which had everything we needed. It was not ultra-modern, but that was certainly not a requirement for us. Very nice view from the room. There are also animals behind the garden, which makes it extra fun. The garden was not fenced, but we were aware of this. Our dog was allowed to come along, but we just had to keep an eye on it. The dog also enjoyed her stay. There is also play equipment outside for children, so something for everyone at this stay. Environment was beautiful. We were lucky that we also just when a nice layer of snow had fallen that gave the environment an extra touch. Very nice area for walking. Due to the snow we did not leave the car the days we were there. We were able to explore the beautiful surroundings on foot. Very beautiful secluded forests, where we were also lucky enough to spot wild deer. Also beautiful to see. Definitely recommended to go in a snowy landscape.
