WARNING!! The house was quite okay, we left everything neat. Upon arrival, we paid a 400 euro deposit and now, a month and a half later, we still haven't received our deposit back. The lady who received the deposit on her phone (via QR code) is not responding anywhere, not on her phone, not via WhatsApp, and not via email. Belvilla says they are investigating the matter but are also not taking enough responsibility. We are filing a report with the police. Stay away from here!

We got scammed. This was our only and unique experience with Belvilla. It took many more complaints to recover the deposit, and what a bad surprise to see that a huge amount was deducted from the deposit, and to this day, no explanation has been sent. Very very very bad experience.

The stay was great! Nice house, good facilities. But Belvilla itself is a drama to get anything done. When I still hadn't received my deposit back after 14 days, they advised me via chat to send an email to info@belvilla.be. I did that. But I received an automatic reply that the email address was no longer being monitored and a link to get in touch that only leads to your own booking and another chat option. Ultimately, I have now received the balance of the deposit minus the costs charged back, but I would have liked to know exactly what they charged me. Belvilla is extremely difficult to get in touch with, so in terms of customer friendliness, they get a big zero from me.

We booked the holiday Au Bord de l 'Eau for a family vacation, a part of the family left everything before the arrival and sent all enthusiastic text messages to the latecomers. We rented this house from May 10 until May 12, 2013. The house is nice and as advertised, but possibly a bit spartan. But service was unacceptable. Regrettably there wasn't enough linen in the house, so we called the owner the first night and she was not in a position to deliver any that night, which was sort-of acceptable. So instead one couple slept under single sheets on a double bed. We'd expected this to be rectified the next day (we stayed two nights), but no word from the owner. However the E400 deposit, minus utilities, taxes and linen rental didn't get returned within the required 14 days. After 14 days I emailed the owner - no reply. Then 2 days later I called her and left a message. Finally the next day she emailed the bill showing a E148.70 charge. We should've checked the utility meters, but over E100 for gas, water and electricity for two days sounded rather steep. And then it took til the 6th of june before we saw the deposit back in our bank account.

Not really a pleasant village, but everything you need is available. House is quiet. Sheltered courtyard not large, but sufficient. Ourthe visible from the rooms but field near water full of dog poo! House is fine, but lacks finishing touches many lights malfunction, dishwasher and microwave will work, but have flaws. Kitchen linen is nothing (4 dishtowels and dishcloths 2 for 12 people for a whole week). And the reception lady promises a lot but does nothing true. Regardless of the negative comments from previous visitors, we still enjoyed our holiday. The manager was friendly and very obliging. The heating did not work in the bathroom and she has an installer called. The problem was solved immediately. It was clean, very spacious house, just too little material for the kitchen and the microwave. A beautiful setting for walks and enjoyable for the children. We had a very nice weekend. House was spacious, plenty of sleeping and bathroom, well cared for. Minus the broken lampshades and lamp shades above the table to be cleaned, even under the beds needed.

The house was dirty, windows, bathroom walls, stove, lamp shades and benches, all dirty. Spiders ragen they have never heard of, stoves and ovens in particular have sometimes clean floors we ourselves have sucked, mopped not often bah ... Furthermore, an incredible amount of broken furniture, chairs, cribs, shower faucet, kitchen faucets, TV hardly reception, no radio, no CD player, not a DVD player, dishwasher ran the baskets from the rail, just did not fit, refrigerator door is not closing, many mattresses potholes, bad pillows, door barely get open. The house is very well equipped and beautiful inside. ideal for a group of friends but also for a group of families with children. We went this weekend with our family of six children and their supporters to the Ardennes. The house was top. Very spacious, tastefully decorated, nice fireplace, large dining table (s) and a fantastic kitchen island. The environment was appreciated and we have a nice walk along the river. Had a good week in this house. All facilities are available. Cleaning and maintenance does leave something to be desired, as we had on arrival found that quite a few bulbs do not burn and then having them yourself replace yourself. Major criticism we find the additional costs. The house is already paid 200 Euros per day to rent. One week stay cost us all kinds of extra charges nearly another 300 Euros extra. Excessive and we can not imagine that real costs.

A very beautiful house with beautiful location. Downsides were mainly that it was not properly cleaned hus, wires and dust under the beds even earplugs found.
