We got scammed. This was our only and unique experience with Belvilla. It took many more complaints to recover the deposit, and what a bad surprise to see that a huge amount was deducted from the deposit, and to this day, no explanation has been sent. Very very very bad experience.

We were already in the house for the third time. That probably describes that we like it there: clean, spacious, tasteful. However, at least the first day is always very cold (in March), as the landlady only turned the underfloor heating up to 18° shortly before. The stay was great! Nice house, good facilities. But Belvilla itself is a drama to get anything done. When I still hadn't received my deposit back after 14 days, they advised me via chat to send an email to info@belvilla.be. I did that. But I received an automatic reply that the email address was no longer being monitored and a link to get in touch that only leads to your own booking and another chat option. Ultimately, I have now received the balance of the deposit minus the costs charged back, but I would have liked to know exactly what they charged me. Belvilla is extremely difficult to get in touch with, so in terms of customer friendliness, they get a big zero from me.

We rented this house from May 10 until May 12, 2013. The house is nice and as advertised, but possibly a bit spartan. But service was unacceptable. Regrettably there wasn't enough linen in the house, so we called the owner the first night and she was not in a position to deliver any that night, which was sort-of acceptable. So instead one couple slept under single sheets on a double bed. We'd expected this to be rectified the next day (we stayed two nights), but no word from the owner. However the E400 deposit, minus utilities, taxes and linen rental didn't get returned within the required 14 days. After 14 days I emailed the owner - no reply. Then 2 days later I called her and left a message. Finally the next day she emailed the bill showing a E148.70 charge. We should've checked the utility meters, but over E100 for gas, water and electricity for two days sounded rather steep. And then it took til the 6th of june before we saw the deposit back in our bank account.

We have a wonderful weekend with the whole family (7 adults and 4 children) spent in and around the lovely large and tastefully furnished house built in Hamoir. For local tourist office, we have received two short walks free (about 6 km), forest and hills one direction and the other along the Ourthe.Het was beautiful sunny weather and the kids can have good skating in the quiet street located for the home. Also the lawn opposite the house located on the Ourthe was nice to relax on the blanket water.We have all thoroughly enjoyed!!

The house "Au bord de l 'eau" is very comfortable with lots of bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a room with a hot tub. Each room has a flat screen and a large kitchen with island and extensive breakdown collection. Very spacious, tastefully decorated, nice fireplace, large dining table (s) and a fantastic kitchen island. The environment was appreciated and we have a nice walk along the river. If at all possible, we want to come again next year!

Had a good week in this house. All facilities are available. Cleaning and maintenance does leave something to be desired, as we had on arrival found that quite a few bulbs do not burn and then having them yourself replace yourself. Major criticism we find the additional costs. The house is already paid 200 Euros per day to rent. One week stay cost us all kinds of extra charges nearly another 300 Euros extra. A very beautiful house with beautiful location. Downsides were mainly that it was not properly cleaned hus, wires and dust under the beds even earplugs found.
