I stayed at this lovely holiday home in Ålbæk with my friends and it was just what we needed, The place was super clean, and we had plenty of space to spread out, The sauna was a nice touch after a long day of exploring, and the terraces were perfect for summer barbecues, We really enjoyed the quiet location, close to the beach and some cute cafes, Only downside was the WiFi could be a bit slow at times, but honestly, we didn't mind disconnecting for a bit, Would definitely come back!

Beautiful house, great forest location, good beds and amenities! Negative: too little cutlery and dishes, built-in wood stove has somewhat insufficient power in cold weather. No window in the large bathroom, only non-opening skylights.

First of all: the photos probably date from the first 2-3 years after the house was built, when the surroundings were not yet overgrown. That is, it is now a grown-in house (like most in the "settlement"). Accordingly, there is no garden here, but there is a secluded terrace and the chance to encounter rabbits, foxes, and deer very close to the house, if one does not scare the animals away. The houses are also spaced far apart, so one can go about undisturbed and literally hear the grass grow at night. / The house and its furnishings are in good condition both inside and out. / The kitchen is well equipped (sufficient cutlery, extensive cooking utensils, pots and pans). / However, the stock of glasses and tableware needs to be replenished and parts with chips replaced (partially less than 6 usable pieces). / Coffee drinkers have to make do with a regular filter machine. Instead of the fully automatic machine in the picture, there is a microwave. / The small bathroom with shower and toilet is practical, especially when there are several people in the house. Since there were four of us, the large bathroom was sufficient, so the small one was only used as a toilet. / There is nothing to complain about the large bathroom with shower, toilet, and whirlpool. Everything was clean, and above all, there was plenty of hot water available, even when the pool was being filled and hot water was still needed in the kitchen! / Passionate sauna-goers would have only missed the usual utensils (bucket, ladle, hourglass, thermo-/hygrometer). / The only downside (which we notice in all holiday homes): There are too few hooks to hang towels. However, a drying rack is available, so the towels could dry in the hallway area. / / Cleanliness: we did not order a laundry package, but booked the final cleaning. Overall, the house was clean and odor-free. / We do not want to complain about the cobwebs in the area of the Velux windows at the roof peak. They cannot be removed without a telescopic pole, etc. In the corner by the television or in one corner of the single-bed bedroom, which has to serve as storage for the seat cushions, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, and a few small kitchen appliances, this should be possible and implemented according to the strict guideline catalog for cleaning. The obvious remnants of the multi-legged house residents on the floor of the storage room certainly did not originate from just one or two weeks. / The outer edge of the dishwasher door was neglected. The glass of the patio door could also use a cleaning (from the inside). The fingerprints here are certainly also due to the special mechanism. / A few of the pillows and comforters could use a wash again. We would have done it ourselves - there are enough sets in the house. Only a washing machine is missing - or the indication that the device in the technical room is connected and can be used. From our perspective, just minor details - it is a holiday home and not a five-star luxury hotel room. / / The stove was particularly pleasant, of course. Frederikshavn, Skagen, Hjørring, Hirtshals, and Løkken are relatively quick to reach by car.
